Friendly staff, delicious food and great prices. They're getting a liquor license, so even more choices!

I'm always psyched for the salsa here and could probably polish off a whole basket of tortilla chips by myself with it. It's got just the right amount of mild kick. You're given a complimentary cheesy tortilla as an appetizer as well. We often get the queso derretido con chorizo appetizer, a combo platter of some sort, and I'm a fan of their paella as well, which is stuffed to the brim with chicken, chorizo, and seafood. They serve up a complimentary dessert of banana & honey chimichanga at the end which is yummy. The prices have gone up a fair bit in the last couple of years, and they do charge 4% for credit card payment (an increasingly common practice that's anathema to someone who hates carrying cash like me), so I was tempted to take away a star. But in light of our overall great experiences here, always satisfying meals, excellent and friendly service (shoutout to Fabian), not to mention the freebies they throw in, a 5-star rating is still justified.

The guacamole is terrific and you can't beat the fresh chips. It's not spicy food, but I usually have my own sauces at home. It's a little tough to find at first glance, but once in a while there's a dude in a taco costume waving potential customers down and it's hilarious! The place is only made for take-out, they have one table inside but mainly as a waiting area.

Was told would be 20 minutes, but I didn't have time to wait. Was about to leave, chatted it up briefly with the owner (?) and gave her my business card. Then decided I would place my order and return to pick it up after I got where I needed to go. Came back for my order 30 minutes later and they acted like they didn't know what I ordered. I told them I didn't have time to wait and they said, "oh, it'll only be 10 minutes". I reiterated I couldn't wait. They had my business card!!!! They didn't have the sense to call me to confirm my order if there was a question? The fact that they treated me like I was imposing upon them was even more astonishing. I didn't get an apology or anything. You'd think a new business would be more mindful of trying to make a good impression. Sadly, if they haven't learned anything about service, they will not last.

We usually come when the owner is present, and the experience is always fantastic. Unfortunately, our visit this past Tuesday (which honestly should be Taco Tuesday) missed the mark. Our waitress was new and struggled to explain several menu items, which led to some confusion. We ordered tacos, queso with beans, nachos, and chips with guacamole. The order came out incorrect, and the queso was a major disappointment--it arrived as a bowl of grease, completely separated and inedible. The tacos were very small, light on filling, and lacked the bold seasoning and heartiness we've come to expect here. Honestly, it wasn't the usual Guacamole quality. What made it more frustrating was that the wait staff didn't seem very helpful in correcting the issues or explaining what went wrong. While we noticed the owner wasn't in that day and chalk some of this up to her absence, a restaurant still needs to run smoothly when the owner takes time off--burnout is real, and strong staff support is key. We truly don't want to hurt this business. We drive a distance to come here and still consider it one of our favorite spots. That said, $90 for two meals, one appetizer, and a side of queso and beans, with this experience, felt disappointing. I'm leaving four stars because we know how great Guacamole can be, even though this visit was closer to a two-star experience. I hope management sees this as constructive feedback and uses it to help train newer staff--this place is too good not to get back to its usual standard.
