I was very very happy with the results and more. Because my front end was cracked all the way down from when I rear ended someone years ago and I also had about 7-8 door dings on my passenger side. My headlights were yellow and foggy and seriously needed buffering. Well, the quote was solely for the paint job alone in which I agreed but the dings on the doors, foggy headlights, front crack on bumper were not charged as extra. Adrian was buying and selling vehicles from the auction houses. I sent him $20k for the purchase of a 2019 Nissan frontier. He told me it had water damage from a flood so he was looking for another and during that timeframe came across a 13' Nissan Gtr so I wired another 22k for the purchase. Needless to say, he was lying to me. He kept the money and used it and eventually came clean that that is what he did. He's signed several legal contracts promising to repay me but has only made a couple payments over the last couple years. Excuses only for why he can't pay. I am going to the police/Feds since this is a criminal matter due to the amount he has stolen. I wanted to let everyone know what type of person you're dealing with at Car Tech Auto Collision. My experience with this auto body shop--specifically with " Adrian", the co-owner and son of the owner was one of the worst business experiences I've ever had. His father appears to have positive reviews, but Adrian is an entirely different story. I originally connected with Adrian through " OfferUp " after listing my Dodge Challenger, which had been in a serious accident. He initially offered to buy the car, then claimed he could repair it for far less than what other shops quoted*. He talked himself up endlessly, bragged about the shop's 4.5-star Yelp rating, and even claimed he and his dad painted the "Batman" car some years ago. It all sounded convincing " it wasn't ". I checked Yelp, discussed it with my mom (who was helping me financially), and decided to move forward. That turned out to be a huge mistake. Adrian initially estimated the repair would be *$7,500-$8,000*, definitely under $10k. That number quickly ballooned to ** $13,000!!! **, and even then the car was returned " Half-done and poorly repaired ". From start to finish, the process was filled with " empty promises and manipulation at its finest. " * Constant "it'll be done tomorrow" excuses * Repeated pressure for money unrelated to the car ("I need $1,500 for my house project," "If I don't get the rest today my wife will be mad") * Missed deadlines with no accountability * Promised progress photos that never came--except once when he sent a photo of himself at his dad's birthday party instead My mom and I were in a group chat with him the entire time, so all of this is documented. On top of the financial stress, Adrian was immature, unprofessional, rude, arrogant, and dishonest. He contradicted himself constantly, couldn't keep track of his own lies, and when confronted, became defensive and insulting. At one point, he even threatened and disrespected both me and my mother. The final result? * Subpar, rushed work* * A broken driver-side sway bar left unfixed* * And his response was essentially " I was trying to save you money" and " You're lucky I even fixed your car." If zero stars were an option, I'd give it. If you care about your car, your money, your sanity, and being treated with basic respect--do not bring your vehicle here.If your expectations are realistic and you just want the job done correctly, save yourself the stress and go literally anywhere else. And yes I do know of some highly skilled car mechanics that ether live far away from me now or are too old tobe working on cars now that completely agree with me on this. And I know I'am going to have some nerds in the comment section say " why didn't you just pull the car out ?? " Not that easy and or " Your car was pretty much salvage before why are you complaining ? The finished paint results had running paint drips appearance on the bottom passenger door, and not smooth looking paint.
