The staff is now consistently rude, both on the phone and in person. My last three experiences have been deeply disappointing: Months after purchasing new calipers for my truck, they were ruined by a faulty hose that cost less than $20 to replace, forcing me to pay for new calipers all over again. I purchased a new set of tires for my Lexus. Immediately after leaving the shop, I discovered one of the new tires was leaking air. I have been avoiding making an appointment to fix it simply because I am tired of dealing with the staff's poor attitude, so I find myself stopping to add air to the tire weekly. I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and a tire balance/rotation. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I was charged $140 for a wheel alignment I never requested or approved. The employee insisted I had mentioned it, and then condescendingly questioned why I expected a complimentary tire service for tires I had purchased two years prior. I had to remind him I bought a full set of four tires for over $1,000, which included this service. Throughout this entire exchange, the General Manager sat nearby and deliberately ignored the situation. This level of service is unacceptable. You have lost my business, and I will only return for services that are already covered under warranty. After that, I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere. P.S. I recently saw one of your own employees having his car serviced at a competitor's shop. He told me he wouldn't trust his own vehicle to be worked on at your location.

The owner works at the shop which I think helps with trustworthiness, as opposed to a national chain where there's less sense of ownership.

So I wanted to get a second opinion before throwing in the towel. So I decided to take it to NRP because it was close to home. From the time I walked in the door the staff was very friendly. And I explained my situation to Shannon the owner and he was adamant that they would find the main problem to my brakes. Shannon took the time to check the whole system and turns out it was just the master cylinder. While doing this he kept me updated and was honest about what the problem could be. And with the inspection and work saved me thousands of dollars. I WILL never under estimate these little auto shops anymore.. Great Service and Hospitality and definitely worth the price. I went to a few places and priced around and got quotes from anywhere from $626 to $1,100. This was much more than I ever paid for tires before but couldn't get an explanation why. I drove over to the Wal-mart to see what - if any - deals they'd have. They didn't really have any but the service guy filled me in. He couldn't find the tire in his computer so we went out to my car and he read the tire and said "You're going to hate me in about 5 minutes". I asked why, he said "Cause these aren't going to be cheap. It's ridiculous". I told him I was already past the sticker shock. he gave me a competitive price but not a bargain then he explained why the tires on this particular car were so much. They had the tires in stock and he gave me a time that it'd be done and then gave me some inside scoop on how to care for them. (My b.s. detector wasn't going off). He suggested the road hazard and all that and said if I didn't want to pay I'd be kinda dumb but gave me another tire store he'd suggest. Who does that? After the work was done he suggested I raise heck with the dealer because the tires while looking like the had a few months of life on them from the outside were completely disintegrating on the inside. "Another long trip and these could have really screwed you," he told me. This was after I had the work done. No matter how much you spend (especially when the cost is 2x what you were expecting) you're going to feel screwed over. I didn't hear. I felt like the cost was going to be what it was anywhere I went but this guy gave me a bit extra for my money. Nice. I'll go back to get my oil changes there now.
