Wanted to give a revised review after the district manager got in touch to discuss with me. While there wasn't much to be done to get my time back, the location itself did make an effort to make it right after the fact. I felt I owed it to them to give a good review after that. Bottom line though, if you have an EV, go to the tire discounters EV location about 40 mins north! Overall great experience other than the issues I'd mentioned in a prior review-- where I was told one thing but another happened. But the tires are installed and seem to be working well. When my lifelong mechanic retired, I was thrilled to find this shop. The staff was friendly and the service was consistently top-notch. However, over the past several years, the quality of service has declined dramatically, particularly regarding customer interaction. The staff is now consistently rude, both on the phone and in person. My last three experiences have been deeply disappointing: Months after purchasing new calipers for my truck, they were ruined by a faulty hose that cost less than $20 to replace, forcing me to pay for new calipers all over again. I purchased a new set of tires for my Lexus. Immediately after leaving the shop, I discovered one of the new tires was leaking air. I have been avoiding making an appointment to fix it simply because I am tired of dealing with the staff's poor attitude, so I find myself stopping to add air to the tire weekly. I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and a tire balance/rotation. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I was charged $140 for a wheel alignment I never requested or approved. The employee insisted I had mentioned it, and then condescendingly questioned why I expected a complimentary tire service for tires I had purchased two years prior. I had to remind him I bought a full set of four tires for over $1,000, which included this service. Throughout this entire exchange, the General Manager sat nearby and deliberately ignored the situation. This level of service is unacceptable. You have lost my business, and I will only return for services that are already covered under warranty. After that, I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere. P.S. I recently saw one of your own employees having his car serviced at a competitor's shop. He told me he wouldn't trust his own vehicle to be worked on at your location. read more

I definitely don't recommend this place. I recently got two flat tires. I called Tire Discounters to see if they can get me in and they said yes the next day between 8 and 9 AM. So I my car towed there and called the next day at noon and didn't get to my vehicle yet. I have a warranty on my tires. I asked Tire Discounters if they accept Protective and they said yes. So here it is three days later and I still have not gotten my car back. I've been on the phone all morning with a warranty company. They informed me that they did not send over the invoice to get paid, but Tire Discounters is telling me they can't release my car until they get paid. so I've been on the phone getting it taken care of. So if you have a warranty, do not go they will not help you get it paid. Mike, the manager is very rude not only to me but two other customers that was in there if you need your tires fixed, I'd highly recommend Jeff Wyler of Florence. read more

DD. 10.3.2025 Front tires particularly passenger front tire was really low down to 18#. Filled with air and drove home. Couple days later the front drivers side looked low. (Cooper tires (60k mile warranty) purchased from Tire Discounters 10.14 2023.) My service request was to evaluate the tire for leaks or punctures. The tech went out, got the mileage and gauged the tire tread. He ascertained I needed new tires. I inquired about the tire warranty. According to them without record of timely tire rotation and alignment it would do no good to contact the manufacture. BWT- The alignment was done by TD and they had just performed rotation a month or so prior. This visit ended in a purchase of four new Michelin tires for the price of 2. Great right? No, yesterday my neighbor called to my attention the FRONT passenger tire we extremely low! Which was the SAME problem/tire I was having with the previous tire! I am extremely disappointed in care and attention to the my initial request. Maybe, I didn't need four new tires, I needed the tires evaluated. On Saturday, May 24, I purchased four brand-new Goodyear tires for $1,150 from the Fort Mitchell, KY Tire Discounters. Shockingly, just three days later, the rear passenger-side tire blew out under normal driving conditions. I had my truck towed to the Mt. Washington location, expecting a quick resolution. Instead, I was told the tire couldn't be repaired and was given two unacceptable options: buy a new tire or pay $320 for a Road Hazard Policy after the damage occurred. This is unacceptable for a tire that failed within days of purchase. When I contacted the Fort Mitchell Tire Discounters, they assured me that Mt. Washington Tire Discounters would replace the tire at no cost. But when I arrived, that promise was not honored. After escalating to customer service, a regional manager insisted I prove the tire was defective. I find it unreasonable and frustrating that a customer is expected to prove a failure of a tire that clearly didn't last a week. To make matters worse, I incurred: * $120 for a tow * $33.92 for an Uber from Louisville to Mt. Washington Tire Discounters has failed to take accountability for a clearly defective product and caused me additional out-of-pocket expenses and stress. I'm requesting a full refund for the tire and reimbursement of my towing and Uber costs. read more

Once again Tire discounters proves that all they want to do is sell you tires or some mysterious service instead of standing by their promise of lifetime balance and rotation. You just stop in at the Ft Wright facility and you're just crazy, but then call back to schedule appt for simple Tire rotation and they are booked out over a week. Real shit show, but walk in to purchase new tires and you get the red carpet service. read more

The Ft.Wright location service levels have decreased with the departure of the past manager (Marty). They don't double check the wheel lugs torque any longer and have been known to not check the torque on the wheel lugs at all. read more

I've been a long term client, 10 years. They treat you fairly, and work in your best interest!! I just had my car in for repair, and the made sure the older car was safe before it left the shop. As they were completing their safety check, they discovered the right wheel drive shaft was cracked and repaired it. If they had just done what we asked, we would have had real problems on the road. read more

Misdiagnosed my car. Told them exactly what was wrong that my caliper was not working and my tire was hot and started to smell. Claimed I had "low" pads on my brakes and I needed them replaced. Got them replaced and guess what, problem still happened after 2 days of having it. Brought it back and they want to charge me even more then the first time. Said the problem is the caliper after all. Also ruined my new brake pads that were just put on. This could have caused me to get in a accident if I didn't catch it the second time. read more

They called me back and said the complete sidewall was blown out with a huge hole and I needed a new tire and the cheapest tire they sell for a kia is $325.00 That was a lie, I drove the car to them from ohio and you can't drive a car with a complete tire blowout on the side of the tire. They're crooked mechanics. and the young kid with the clear framed glasses, that is always behind the counter, cant be trusted at all. Once again, Tire Discounters exceeded my expectations! Yesterday, in rush hour traffic on the interstate, I had a completely chewed up tire that forced me to the side of the road. My 19-year old daughter's rear driver side tire kept losing pressure. They visually inspected the tires and told her that tire was just fine and it was her front driver side tire that needed to be entirely replaced. Having little experience with how often repair places fail to listen to customers - especially young women - she was eventually convinced that she must be mistaken and agreed to replace the front tire. Then, they told her they only had one tire that would work for her car. It was over $450 to replace one tire on 2010 car. I had replaced all four for not much more than that. Again, this is the first time she had to replace a tire and had no idea what was reasonable. Clearly, they took full advantage of that. And, of course, it wasn't the even the correct tire. The rear driver side tire needed to be inflated within 2 days of leaving the shop. If they had just bothered to listen to my daughter and actually check into what she was telling them that part could have been avoided. DO NOT GO HERE NO MATTER WHAT.As a driver beginner i had such a bad experience here.I called at 10:30am to do wheels rotation, Balance, and Alignments so they told me I can show up at 11:30 am so I did then for a second time I told them what the car needs and that the steering wheel moves when driving into a curve.After that they said that it has to do with the alignments.I waited until 2:40pm but after driving the car for at least 30 minutes I noticed the problem is worse now it does it all the time even if I'm going on a straight line the steering wheel does stay straight.After going back I told them that the problem wasn't fixed and they told me to come back another day.Showed up that day just for them to tell me that they can't get a mechanic to get it fix and that I can show up tomorrow to get it fixed.This is so unprofessional to just make somebody wait 3 hours to make the problem harder than it is.I don't know a lot about cars but I could tell you these people have no idea what they are doing. read more

The second set purchased were Continental! They look and drive great! I get many compliments on the car and tires. I've come here for my alignments as well as brake jobs on my SUV. Had a tire replaced at the Ft Mitchell store in 2921. Yesterday the tire went flat. Went to Newport store to have it repaired/replaced. They stated that it was the fault of poor cleaning at installation. It will be free for replace but have to go back to Ft Mitchell store. Ft Mitchell acknowledges that the Newport store said that but disagreed and refused to replace the tire for free. Staff was incapable of maintaining a story after multiple stories with different people. They have no sense of customer service and don't stand behind their work. Walk away!! read more

I have a new AWD suv and had a recent slow leak. The staff (especially Nate) were all SUPER nice and accommodating to my numerous calls for price comparison, and service detail questions. I am not joking when I say I THOROUGHLY research things before I commit to a large purchase. I was able to get tires rated top in consumer reports for the same as other places were charging for mid level tires. The tipping point was their business doesn't just offer tire services, I had several other questions about various things in my car, as well as an oil and filter change that I was able to get done all on the same day! Dropped my car off in the morning for brakes, tire rotation and alignment. ThIs being a holiday week, I knew they would be busy. Received a call within an hour of dropping it off with a detailed description of what needed to be done, a quote and an expected time it would be done. Four hours later, it was ready! No one likes spending money on car repairs, but these guys are always super friendly and efficient. Had a friend who just bought tires at Costco and their service was terrible. I went in for a oil change and free tire rotation. I marked one of the tires to make sure they did their job. When I went to get the car the tires weren't rotated. When I told the manager they weren't rotated he said he would check on it. Needless to say 2 techs said they were sure they did. I offered to show them my mark, but they refused. This place has great service and will likely be my forever go to tire place. It is close to my house and came here for the first time with a tire from truck. I brought the tire and wheel in and it turned out to be a dry rotted tired stem - they fixed it for no charge. Keep in mind I didn't even buy this set of tires here. Fast forward six months later and I have another flat on my truck. I take it in and they patch it for no cost! Fast forward another six months and my boyfriend has a flat. Unfortunately it had blown a hole through the side wall... $80 and we were out with a new tire installed. He thought it was expensive, but I thought it was reasonable, plus the primary reason we took it there was because of the past service there. The only downfall was we decided to wait to have the tire fixed. It was before 6:00 and they closed at 7:00. The guy at the counter took a look at my car and told me they had a great tire on sale, and when he gave me the quote for 4 new tires, installed, balanced, and whatever that other thing is, I said, "well that price point is right in my wheelhouse". It being a Saturday around 11am I was apprehensive about the wait time but he said about an hour and a half. So I sauntered over to Wal-Mart to browse TVs and then had lunch at Mi Tierra. Absolutely horrible customer service. We used to live in Alexandria and always went to Cold Spring store which are excellent in their customer service and work. Now live in Ft Mitchell so went to Ft Wright since it was closer. We discovered piece of metal stuck in tire of our car so this morning my wife (with 8 year old granddaughter) took car to Ft Wright store. They told her we need a new tire (which we expected) but it will be 2.5 hours before they can get to it. There is NOBODY waiting on service at this store. Everyone has dropped off their cars to pick up later. The service guy told my wife that even though nobody is waiting on their cars they can't fit her in now because she didn't have an appointment! Store manager was part of that discussion and refused to even try and accommodate my wife and fit us in earlier. Apparently they ONLY work by appointment so stay away if you need unexpected service! read more

I was greeted in a timely manner. Great customer service, I felt welcomed. There is a tv which is good even though small still serves it's purpose. Chairs could be more comfortable. It is busy right now and there are not many places to sit down. People are standing around and sitting on tires. I haven't gotten the bill yet but I will be back to this location. read more

Not only took car of our car in a timely manner, when they realized that they hadn't billed for the oil change, they ate the charge. This place really sucks. I had an issue with my last set of tires and they screwed up the alignment. I took it back and it is still not right. This was a 2014 Cruz with 36,000 miles on it. I tried to make it right by leaving my original review here and I was told that they take their alignments serious and they would resolve it. They didn't. I got one email that was replied to twice and never got a response after two weeks. The car still pulls to the left and I will never deal with tire discounters again. If your car isn't pulling or wearing the tires uneven, don't let these monkey's touch it, or it will never be right again. I have two more Vehicles that need tires. I bought a set from Walmart and delivered to my door for free. Had them installed for $80 at a local shop with a 30 minute wait. Not 5 or 6 hours like this place treats you. Saved me $200 off Tire Discounters price and it tracks like it did before. Straight! Do yourself a favor, Save 50% and be happy you drove right by this store. read more
