We asked JSR to add two electrical sockets to our pergola and install an outdoor fan. Our electrical box had two available breakers when we had a hot tub removed. The technicians suggested the best way to route the new lines from the breaker box to the pergola and the best way to hang the fan. I'll preface my two-star review by saying we did have some work done by JSR and were happy with the work and liked the electricians. That said, I wonder if we were charged fairly for the work we had done given the outrageous quote we were given to replace our electrical panel (which we didn't have JSR do). From all the information we've gathered, replacing an electric panel should be around $3k total, for everything (permit, coordinating with the electric company, etc.) JSR wrote up a quote for $6,662 (we were given this estimate on 3/10/21 then again on 4/27/21). Our first quote for the panel (from an electrician our realtor recommended) was given on 1/7/21 and was for $3,300, inclusive of the panel and a few other smaller items. To be fair, copper prices have been on the rise, but that's still a huge difference. JSR's quote included things that were made to appear as if they were part of the panel repair that weren't actually necessary, including whole house surge protection, which is always optional. We've asked electricians (who are not bidding on the project) about the quote, and everyone has said it is way too high. Don't disregard the good reviews on here saying JSR did good work, as I have no reason to question their quality. I just wanted to provide information about their pricing that I wish I'd had from the get-go. read more

They ran four new outlets for us. We have a 104 year old home so needless to say there is work to be done. They went through the entire house first and we told them what we were thinking and they did a quote based on that for us so we can go through and do items as we get cash on hand. Highly recommend! Colin and his mate worked so diligently with installing a new 30 AMP 110V wire in my crawlspace for a new septic we are installing. They were able to navigate through some of the issues with some of our new renovated space. They were very professional, understanding, hardworking, and friendly men! I emailed them to schedule an estimate/appointment originally for a weekend time but they don't work weekends so I took time off of work to be home in the middle of the week so they could come out. However, 30 minutes before the time frame of the appointment, they called to cancel. It's not as easy for everyone to switch their schedules around. It is unprofessional to cancel within 30 minutes prior to the time window they were supposed to be here. I understand that technicians may get backed up, but they should really prepare ahead of time to allow for those types of scenarios or give more than a 30 minute notice. It's a 1 star for customer service. I can't judge the quality of work since they didn't do anything but cancel on me. read more

These guys did a great job mounting our tv today. We have an older home and a thick brick fire place that made their jobs difficult today, especially with a tiny attic space. Great company to work with. I had a 220V outlet installed in the garage for charging a Tesla. The owner, Jeff, communicated promptly and clearly. I got four different quotes from companies here on Yelp, and JSR's price was not only reasonable but also SIGNIFICANTLY lower than the others (which made me feel like the others were trying to scam me). JSR confirmed the appointment and gave me a one-hour arrival window the day before, and the electrician, Tim, arrived on time and did fantastic work. He was in and out in about 45 minutes. First, let me say I write very few reviews. When I write a review it's because Im so convicted, I feel I must let others know. Here's what I know about JSR: After going through several electricians and thousands of dollars only to still have the same electrical issues, I finally smartened up and turned to YELP. I should have STARTED my search on YELP. I know better!. After reading through all of the reviews for electrical companies that service my area in Las Colinas, I was convinced that JSR was the company I should "try." I say "try" because I had lost faith in electricians and I was afraid I'd be let down again. I can now tell anyone reading this, the glowing reviews on Yelp for JSR are all true. Maybe even understatements! Not only were they able resolve my ongoing electrical issues but this company ALSO goes above and beyond by arranging service calls to MY schedule even if it means weekends. The electrician are master electricians and because of their knowledge, my electrical issues are now a thing of the past. Alecia, the dispatcher is also a gem. She so helpful on so many levels, I asked her if she owns the company. When she told me she didn't, I was very surprised. You will be surprised too if you work with her. She jumped through hoops to work things out in the fastest and best way possible for me. She's excellent and the electricians are just as excellent. I used JSR Electric to install an auto timer for my light switch for the porch and side light (2). I had to order the two switches myself (with their guidance on which ones to get from Amazon) and they agreed to install them in two days notice when they had an early morning opening. The man came at 8:45am (15 mins late due to traffic) and stayed for around an hour hooking up both switches and reorganizing the light switch order as we requested. He was very nice and professional, and wore the blue shoe socks to avoid any extra dirt in the house. I would recommend them to to anyone and felt the booking agent was extremely kind and organized on helping me find a time "ASAP". Only didn't get 5 stars because it cost $100 per switch, which seems expensive for each switch (but was the cheapest quote I got). read more
