Dr Curci was great. He Treated us good but that's where it ends. Administrative staff were terrible after young lady left. Hygienist ignored me. I guess because I'm not a Spanish speaking person. We both walked in and there is no staff to check you in. I've never had to walk behind the desk or in administration office to find someone. The admin guy now is difficult to understand and I don't think he understood us either. A few years ago, I was in agonizing pain as my wisdom teeth were wanting to make their appearance - the unfortunate part was that it all got worse while on an international plane flight back to the United States. It was so bad that I was crying on the plane! For the record, I'm pretty tough. When I got home, I located this dental office via the *phone book* - I admit, I didn't use Yelp at that time. Though note, Floridians didn't know what Yelp was then! Anyway, I got an appointment right way - within a few days. I went in for the appointment; they conducted x-rays of my teeth (I despised this part) AND offered to extract all four of my wisdom teeth during the SAME appointment. I said YES! I was awake during the process though very thankful for the local anesthetic(s) - I felt nada! Well until afterward... Though I was prescribed a high-dose NSAID (in addition to an antibiotic) which helped to reduce the pain & inflammation. I ate real food (though cautiously and slowly) on the same day! Well, the hygiene gowned up in her PPE, touched the laptop keyboard and God knows what else, and then started cleaning my teeth. She didn't hange her gloves. She scraped along the gum line of a few teeth, used the cavitron on a few teeth, polished a few teeth, and then she was finished. I use excellent daily dental hygiene, but tartar and plaque always form along the gum line, no matter how careful. And what's the excuse for polishing a few teeth? Same thing 6 months ago, but I thought it was a fluke. My teeth are slightly discolored from coffee. Anyway, I went home and brushed with baking soda and peroxide and got them back to their normal color. There's nothing I can do about what might be formed on the gum line. Getting a new dentist where they understand infection control and how to clean and polish all my teeth. read more
