I was going through SEVERE tooth pain for three weeks straight. I couldn't find anyone to take it out and my insurance couldn't either. My life was falling apart. Yes, my toothache was destroying my life! I was losing work, I was being a terrible mother, I was falling into depression, i hadn't slept in weeks. Finally, last night I prayed to God to please take the pain or just take my life! The next morning I got an emergency appointment at this BayView office. I showed up and as soon as I entered the door I burst into tears. Then here comes Angie, who went into full Mama-Bear mode, around the counter to hug me, comfort me and escort me to a room. She reassured me and made me feel like I was the most important person in the world. Within minutes Dr. Galloway entered the room! Her compassion and eagerness to help was evident from the start. I was in and out of that office, PAIN FREE in 45 minutes! I was so happy when Dr. Galloway pulled my tooth out I sobbed and actually gave her an applause. Yes, I was in so much pain from that damned tooth I applauded while crying right in that chair after she took it out. If you need a great dental office to go to. Look no further. During my last set of x-rays, I was told I could not use the protective shield because it spread radiation in the office. So I guess it was ok for me to take all the radiation rather than the hygienist and office being exposed. I think this is probably a compliance violation, but leaving the office forever is easier. read more

Having a broken tooth with pain is never convenient. Contacting Bayview Dental on Hwy 41 was the best decision. Dr. Galloway and her assistant Angie were angels of mercy. I was immediately put at ease with their calming and friendly casual approach to the situation. They were very thorough in explaining every thing from the status of the situation to laying out possible approaches to remedy the problem. They were up front about all of the costs associated with whatever path I selected to follow. There was no "up-sale" pressure involved with promoting future treatments. Just Horrible service, highly do not recommend. Asked for a teeth cleaning which they did not provide. Never asked for my previous records before the appointment. Told me I would be covered under my insurance plan, only to get a bill. Dentist also gave me incorrect information on my teeth to try and collect more money from me. I met Dr. Galloway over 4 years ago and she started my transition and after my orthodontics and implant procedures, I found her at this office to complete my transition. If you have a DHMO plan for dental insurance, I would stay away from BayView. I was told they just started accepting the plan, but it's apparent that they don't understand it or were trying to get more money from me. I had an appointment for X-Rays and to go over cavities and such and when they gave me the bill for how much the next appointment would be, I was shocked to see it was going to be over $400 for two cavities and a deep cleaning. They explained to me my insurance was just a "discount," but that didn't seem right to me. I pulled up my coverage showing them that my insurance says 80% is covered. I ended up calling my insurance and confirmed that was correct. When I called BayView back to clear everything up, the girl I spoke to said the person that she spoke to is higher up than the person that I must have spoken to basically trying to say that I was wrong and that if she wanted me to call them back it wouldn't be until the following week. It just seemed rude and was WAY too much of a hassle. I asked her to just forget it and I would schedule elsewhere. She offered to email me my X-Rays which was appreciated. I ended up going somewhere a few miles away and getting everything done. My out of pocket for three cavities and a cleaning was $130 which was MUCH more on par with what my insurance assured me it would be. I have been a patient at Bayview dental for over 8 years, never been really happy with this office but kept going there because of the hygienist " Linda". Every couple of months or year and so a new dentist shows up ( I guess they have a problem with retention of their dentist). So my problems started about 3 years ago with one of their transient dentist that recommended I replace a crown that was perfectly fine ( I should never listened, always get a second opinion especially when you feel pressured). So I end up saying yes, and oh god that was the start of my nightmare. The crown was replaced as advised, with an extra surprise an infection that did not want to go away suffering from pain for month. They end up sending me to a specialist that you guess it was as skillful as their office, they were so skilled that they breaks my root. And now I am risking losing completely my tooth. Then you think we are over, and a yet a new dentist Dr. Gallawy that start pressuring me to replace an other crown. And I refused given the history I had with the last time I agreed to let them replace my crown, then you get the cold shoulder. But what really pushed me to the edge, is the day I went for a teeth cleaning few days before a big trip and end up with a one of crown on the back of my mouth (they popped my crown). And they wanted me to pay about $700 in top of what my insurance will cover to fix it. I guess that the end I will never set foot there and definitely will not recommend them to my family friend or colleagues. read more
