There were a series of excellent reviews. I sent hima a message and he got back to me right away. When we spoke, Ian himself walked me through the troubleshooting over the phone. He suggested it could be a bad bulb connection (take it out and clean the contacts) or an issue with the wall switch. Sure enough, it turned out to be our dimmer switch -- it just couldn't hold the charge properly and was causing the constant flickering. What really stands out is that Ian could have easily scheduled a service call and charged me a couple hundred bucks to come out. Instead, he gave me the exact fix for free and saved me the hassle and expense. In a world where so many companies push for paid visits, this level of honesty and helpfulness is rare and genuinely appreciated. They said we can submit a claim for reimbursement. Alfred dodged all my husband's atttempts to get an invoice. When I called, it turns out he refused to give me an invoice because he thinks I am going to commit fraud all because I asked him the day that he was here if he is licensed bonded and insured which is a normal question to ask of a contractor. He accused me of trying to commit fraud when he was the one who spent two hours here and couldn't even figure what the problem is all the time saying that he had to leave to buy his mom lunch.

I had an initial quote from a company charging about 1000 under Alex's price and in the interest of saving money I went with them. In the end the quote was not accurate and the contractor wanted 2000 more, this quote did not even include AFCI breakers at that price which Alex let me know were required for my job. Going with the cheapest quote was inaccurate, not up to code, and now costing me more. Alex spent his valuable Sunday evening to go over how I can resolve this billing dispute with the other contractor. I am sad I did not go with him, he was the most accurate quote, knowledgeable and said the extra work I was charged for was likely unnecessary. I really appreciate Alex taking the time and I am mad I did not go with him to complete my work.
