When they called me the next day they gave me a pitch about the cost of Lexus parts and that there were codes indicating that the transmission and rear differential needed "servicing". They then told me the cost would be $8700 and I was shocked and asked if I could come pick up the car and they said they would have to put it all back together. I then asked if this would fix the "clunk" and he said he would guarantee it. On May 23 I paid the invoice and as soon as we drove it off, the "clunk" was still there....I returned the car on May 26 and now it is June 1st and the car is still at the shop still broken. So what they worked on did not fix the problem, should I have to pay for it? Do repair shop have carte blanche to say anything with a code needs overhauling?

I have never gotten an update on what is wrong with my van. Yes, something is wrong with the transmission... but what? Absolutely the worst communication with a car repair shop that I've ever experienced. I posted my call log and txt mssg history as proof. June 10th (date of this review) I called to get an update. Was told to hold, was disconnected, and was ultimately told they'd call me back. I said I was coming to get it and take it someplace else and was told I couldn't. Then I was advised that the transmission has been taken to a different shop because they didn't have a mechanic there. "TRANSMISSIONS" is part of their name, I wasn't told they didn't have a mechanic there that could rebuild a transmission. I feel that both David and Raheem strung me along for the past 3 weeks.... both had said it would be done "Wednesday"... three Wednesdays later and I STILL don't have my van or even know for sure what failed with the transmission.
