It's been a few weeks since my vehicle was repaired, and I feel like an excellent job was done as not only are my former issues gone but there are no new sounds or squeaks as have happened previously with other shops. The repairs totaled IMHO more than the vehicle is worth, BRANDON was wonderful! My grandmother did decide against repairs to forgo a more reliable vehicle. Although I do believe ALL automotive care is inflated. The vehicle KBB is $3,440; two separate unrelated repairs were quoted at $2700, unless something came up during repair then it would obviously go up. We called orielly & autozone and asked the price of the parts for the $1000 repair and ALL parts, grease, tool were $248.12 with tax! $750 for 2 hours labor- you tell me if they are inflated or not. From there it went downhill very very fast. I was paying for these repair out of my pocket and wanted to make this very very clear so he does NOT waste his and my time. This purportedly idiot told me flat out "I am not ready to hear out your stories". Those were his exact words. I usually push back giving a middle finger but I restrained myself . What I want to tell him if he thinks the estimates are over $850 (I got an estimate from other shop who is off the beaten tracks. This shop told me any other shops on the beaten tracks will give me estimate over $2000 and will show off their "riding on high horse" attitude too) I do NOT want the estimate. Since anything above $750 is NOT worth it for 22+ old 210000 miles vehicle. It turned out exactly what I warned about. I gave this guy (who is an estimator and purportedly an owner too (IMHO)) a polite but firm earful. I really wanted to tear his paper estimate and throw on his face but I restrained. That was shortly after Hurricane Harvey, I confirmed with the dealer that there was indeed a problem with back orders on the part, that was October, I called to check every few weeks and the receptionist told me she would give Chris the message and they would get back with me. They now said the part is $700 more than the insurance coverage. Chris informed that he had paid cash for the part and would be sure to notify me when it came in. He admitted in March that he had dropped the ball and lost track of his purchase or the part. I pointed out that if he had already paid for the part that they had no standing to increase the price, and ask him for his information on the purchase, first he said he got ordered and paid for the part through a third party, now he says he dealt with the dealership. As an elderly person on a fixed income I now have the choice of suffering further to resolve the issue or have dental work done. I call that elderly abuse. I can only pray that a recompense be rendered to all involved that have not acted honorably. Zero stars and one is as low as I can go.
