Very disappointed with how this situation was handled. This market is located right next to an animal veterinary clinic. My mom's cat was very sick and was safely secured inside a crate while she quickly stopped in. Instead of showing any understanding or compassion, she was immediately told to leave. I understand that businesses may have a no-pets policy, and that's completely within their rights. However, there is a difference between enforcing a policy and how you treat people. A little kindness, empathy, or even a simple explanation would have gone a long way. The lack of sympathy shown during what was already a stressful situation was very unfortunate. Other stores, including larger chains, have handled similar situations much more respectfully. It wasn't the policy itself that was upsetting--it was the way it was enforced. You need to check receipt all the time because they may charge more for the product that you're taking, its really clean, costumer service its ok not too good, what I wouldn't recommend is buy cakes from the bakery, back in june I got one and it had worms in the fruit they don't clean properly. I've came here a couple times for meat, it's not something I'd say is quality meat. I'm Mexican so I like to go into these stores for different Mexican food products. But this time it has put me in a place I won't forget and won't be returning. As I waited in line for meat, which was a while, it was my turn. There were 2 people working the meat section. It was about to be my turn and a person walks up and greets the worker. They talk for a bit and gets their order. So the next person who was supposed to serve me, has another friend walk up and order. I was passed up not once, but 2x. I understand people build relationships with people and that's ok. However, when there's people waiting for long periods of time, the line matters. The worker could have greeted and said "let me get this man and you're up next", but no. I'm 6ft tall so there's no missing me in line. So when I was called up I said hey man, I had been waiting and you guys just let people cut in line? Worker replied ,"yeahs it's busy". Well, I decided to not get anything and told him I'm busy as well but thank you. I won't be returning . I supported this place because of culture, but if service is going to be that bad I'll take my self up the road and find another place. This was my first time coming to this store and let me tell you, it was BUSY. Also probably because everyone was here buying their Rosca de Reyes. Parking was a nightmare, I legit felt we would get hit at any moment. My husband and I were on the hunt for chapulines (grasshoppers) and tuetano (bone marrow). We swiped the last container of chapulines. Imported from Oaxaca, a lil pricey ($12) but necessary for our recipe. After not seeing any bone marrow in the display cases, I asked the butcher if they had any bone marrow. He said yeah and went to the back to grab it. Let me tell you, this bone was HUGE and the butcher was holding it in the air like a scene from the Flintstones to show us. I couldn't believe it when he said he'd give it to us for free if we bought meat. I asked how much it would be alone. He left to go ask and meanwhile my husband came over and I told him what he'd said about giving it to us for free. My husband was like, let's just buy some meat. So by the time the guy returned, I told him we'd buy a pound of arrachera. I didn't follow up with how much the bone marrow would've been by itself, but I'm still curious. that bone was HUGE!!! We'd gone to Winco before this and they had bone marrow but it was sliced in thick disks, frozen, small, and pricey so we didn't even bother with it. This Flintstone bone was fresh and HUGE. This is your basic latino meat market. Parking here sucks. The spaces are small, not many & people don't know how to drive forsure!! It's annoying. The store itself is tight. A little cart is always outside selling some hot food & fruit. Not sure if it's part of store or another vender. They have basic cheap items outside, some kids toys, brooms, big pots for soups (caldos/pozole) great quality! We got one for $25. It's humongous! They have a variety of mexican candy and piñatas!! They have fresh produce. Always in great condition when I go! In the back left corner of store they have a salsa bar. They have salsa (i've tried 2 different ones, both weren't good & very salty!!), chicken salad, ceviche, cheese's (queso fresco, mozzarellas, etc!) In the back to the right, they have the meat department. A large variety of meat!! But I warn you not always fresh! Don't let them play you! I've seen dark meat that far from fresh here! Anytime they try and sell me that crap I say no, to pick from a fresher part of meat. They can give that nasty shit to the next person. Not me! Sometimes they even try to season the meat to hide it from showing how brown it is. Make sure you look before you buy!! They have canned goods, and also a little bakery in the front of the store. I've never purchased from the bakery, so I can't tell you how good or fresh that is. Staff here is okay! Some girls are rude & think they work at Versace or something. Some are very sweet! Juanita Market is a typical Latino super market with produce, meats, canned goods, dry goods, and pan dulce. At times certain fruits or vegetables are at an incredible price. I have never purchased any meats or really noticed the prices but I would assume they are on par with other similar markets (same goes for the dry goods). In my opinion, their pan dulce is the star of the show. They have a great variety and even offer croissants and filled croissants. The prices are always great. I only wished the selection was more consistent but perhaps they just run out of certain ones that fast. And another small negative is that they charge extra if you want a box instead of a plastic produce bag. Either way - the prices are amazing and the pan dulce taste great so it's definitely worth checking out. read more

The staff is usually friendly when you talk to them but they tend to not greet you at first. The prices are pretty reasonable and the meat is good as well. Definitely check them out if you haven't. Really bad service from all the personal in here, especially the manager. I have worked in retail and I have always been trained on the saying, "the client is always right" but not at this store. They aren't organized with their bakery orders someone tells you one thing and then the manager tells you in a RUDE way the opposite. There is absolutely no Covid guidelines followed in here.
