First timer here!! Heard about this bakery and wanted to try it out and it was delicious!! I ordered their spanish rolls, kababayan, puto, and ube cheesecake along with some of their hot cocoa. Especially since i stopped by early in the morning when everything was fresh and hot out of the oven -- *chefs kiss*. The workers were also super nice, sweet, and patient because i had a big order as i was ordering for a lot of family and friends. This review is based solely on the ensaymada pastry. I bought a dozen for $7.99, which is a great price. The bread is very fluffy, soft, buttery, and nicely sweet, and the texture is really well done. The only thing that threw me off was the topping. I was expecting some kind of shredded cheese on top--possibly cheddar--to balance out the sweetness, but there wasn't any cheese. It ended up being more of a sugar-and-butter topping on very fluffy bread. Overall, it's still a good ensaymada and a solid value. Just a bit different from what I personally expected, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. read more

All their goods are freshly made in the morning and the lines are always worth it (luckily we never had issues with super long wait times). For the longest time, my family are loyal customers to this bakery! We love their service and always ensure we place large orders. My family has been ordering from this place for literally years. I'm not sure how long they've been around but they are the first place that I actually remember my family getting pandesal and Spanish bread from. I'm not sure if their pandesal is unique or if it's just a regional thing, but to my memory I haven't seen a pandesal quite like theirs anywhere else. Theirs is noticeably smaller than most. The more important difference to me though is the texture. It's not as dense as many I've had; it's much lighter and airier. Another difference is the outer layer, it's slightly more resilient so it takes just a tiny bit more to bite through it at first (that's the best way I can explain it. As for the Spanish rolls, they are to this day still one of my favorite. It's basically an elongated roll with a sweet buttery interior. The texture overall is the same as the pandesal but a tad softer overall. I went for the first time myself and it's basically what you'd expect. It's a very small Filipino bakery with their counter stuffed with different breads. The woman working the counter was very pleasant as well. They also have a refrigerator section with some desserts like ube cheesecake. read more

Best Pan de Sal in the area! I come here all the time when I make my way down from Sacramento. The bread is spongy and soft. It's so delicious when heated up. Bella's also has Spanish bread and kabanayan bread (muffins) which is also delicious. Nothing tops Bella's bakery - my family and friends love it so much and expect me to bring some when I head to Southern California. This bakery is great with phone orders as well. I love this place! Their pan de sals remind me of the ones you get from the street vendors in the Philippines. So soft and fluffy and tastes just like home. Their pan de sal never lasts at my house but if they aren't consumed right away I noticed the bread stays soft for several days. A very friendly staff who provide great service. I can't really speak to their ambiance as they're just a standard bakery but they definitely have plenty of different Filipino breads and pastries to choose from that are all so good! It feels like Starbread will forever reign supreme when it comes to Spanish/señorita bread; haven't found a local bakery that can top that franchise. Not a fan of the butter-sugar filling in the Spanish/señorita bread here as it's spread unevenly and is quite clumpy even after warming the bread in the microwave. The pan de sal here, however, is worth a try! Super soft and bouncy. Also even has almost a milky edge to it as well. Reminds me a lot of Japanese milk bread. Recommend getting more than needed; very easy to eat three in a row without really thinking about it (.....personal experience). Cappuccino mocha tastes pretty instant-y, but, hey, for $1.50 to wake me up in a pinch I'll take it lol. Friendly Filipino aunties here. For fresh baked filipino breads, this is my go to spot. This is the only place where I can get my kababayan bread. This buttery, moist and sweet bread was my childhood. They also offer Spanish breads, pan desal, ube breads, and pies. Come in early as they open to get their breads freshly baked and still warm. Fresh hot bread! Located on the corner of Lathrop & S Harlan right off of I-5 in the small strip off shops next to mobile gas. Drove up and knew I found the right place because the parking lot felt like I was back in Daly City! It was busy with Filipino's with bags of bread and to go food from Blessed Kitchen next door. Got an order of hot Spanish rolls which was more similar to pan de sal than the sweet buttery Senorita bread I'm used to getting. The Kababayan are small sweet corn muffins that are good but I probably wouldn't order again because I prefer savory cornbread to sweet. Biko was fresh and the perfect amount of sweetness. They always have fresh pandesal every morning and other filipino baked goodies. My mom used to go a lot especially after her night shift because they tend to not have much options in the afternoon, but she's day shift now so it's been harder to come early. Fortunately (well more like unfortunate for me) I couldn't sleep because insomnia due to pregnancy, I was craving the ensemada so I checked the time and woke my husband to take me. It's 15 mins away from me but worth the drive every time. I love love their ensemada, kababayan and pandesal. But my family also loves their spanish rolls. So had to buy extra goodies for my nephews and niece. There wasn't a line when I got there at 5:40AM today but definitely saw people coming after I got my order. FYI: ensemada is only on Sat and Sun! Spanish Bread is absolutely yummy and the kababayan mamon as well but what I totally not recommend to buy is the ube cake coz it's just a colored ube but the essence and taste of the ube was not there even a lil you can't tell it's ube I suggest make a real ube cheesecake cake not just colored or yet balance the taste of the ube and cheese cake . read more
