I ordered a green wet burrito. The lady rang me up and said the machine was ready for payment before walking away. I tapped my card and sat down to wait for the burrito. Moments later, I received a bank notification for an amount about $6 more than what my order was worth. Apparently the cashier had not finished closing out my order before they started charging the next person. So I got charged their item as well. It's not the end of the world. I was able to get a refund for that amount. They handed me my order in a paper bag and I left. The wet burrito was covered in red not green sauce. Whatever I could get over it. But what felt like the straw that broke the camel's back was the amount of soggy lettuce inside of the burrito. Not a topping. Just filled with soggy hot shredded lettuce. I come every week. The food is amazing they have a good variety from soup to fish tacos or even enchiladas. The service very welcoming and polite. The ambiance is very touching reminding me of my mothers home town in Mexico. I have been coming to this place for years since I was a child but after this experience I will definitely reconsider where I purchase produce and food at. I went there with my mother and she asked for cash back. When we got home she realized that the cashier did not give her the cash. She called and the woman on the phone said she could come back and reclaim it if she had the receipt and proof. It is what she did. When we got back to the store the lady we spoke to on the phone was being disrespectful and said that the name on the receipt was not accurate to the person who was working the cash register at the time and refused to give us the $10 cash back. I understand that memory and money is important but the woman tending to our problem was UNPROFESSIONAL and DISRESPECTFUL. I loved it and would get carne asada tacos or a carne asada burrito. Most white people (including myself) aren't always comfortable going into a meat market/grocery store like this and would look at the menu forever trying to decide what the heck to order but keep it simple: carne asada tacos or burrito. You can't go wrong--try and get creative and order somethings else, your experience can vary. If you like carne asada, this place was awesome. Take it outside and each on a bench is my other suggestion, this isn't a sit down restaurant and if you're working and have a suit and tie on-best to get outside so you don't walk around smelling like carnitas all day.
