I conducted a Google AI search for an upholstery shop that could install a new vinyl top on my 1989 Ford LTD Crown Victoria. The search turned up Juan's Auto Upholstery as the shop I should consider as it was said this shop specializes in these older square body Fords. I drove out their shop, was impressed by the quality of the vinyl top that had been installed on a Rolls Royce, and I got a quote to have the vinyl top on my LTD Crown Victoria from Alex, who is Juan's son, and arranged to take the car back a couple of days later. A couple of days later I dropped my car off and had a new white vinyl top installed along with having a door pull on the front passenger door reupholsted. I needed my headliner replaced on my Honda accord. Juan and his team did a wonderful job replacing the fabric, and it only took one day. I paid just under $300 where elsewhere it would have been $600+. The only reason I give 3 stars is because they caused damage to my emergency brake handle. There were 7 gashes left in the leather handle grip. I didn't notice until I parked my car at home 20 miles away from his shop. I got a botched car detail which was why I needed to have my headliner replaced in the first place. So I've been reluctant to start a new interior project on my car. On a Saturday afternoon I lazily went in for a repair quote on my driver's seat and to hopefully make an appointment for a later date. After talking with Juan, 2.5 hours later on the same day my car was fixed and done! My car is 12 years old and my driver's seat was showing some wear from my big ass sliding in and out of my car multiple times every day. I had applied shoe polish and leather conditioner for the last two years but one side panel's cracking was beyond repair (the crack was on the seat, not a body part... hahaha). The final straw was when my seat couldn't support me and the stiches split on the bottom leather. Prices: $50 to restich the split seam under my butt on the seat. $125 to replace one side patch on the upper part of the seat with matching leather. I was given the option for vinyl which was about $50 less but I decided to keep it leather like the rest of my seat. $175 total and Juan was able to finish it in 2.5 hours, which saved me from having to drop off the car another day. Keep in mind your seat repair price will vary based on how much material you need and the difficulty in getting the seat cover off. He offers a 90 warranty on repairs. The repair shop is on the back side, behind the Korean plaza on Brookhurt and Kerry. Payment: Accepts CASH ONLY. Juan is straightforward, fast, quotes reasonable prices and does excellent repair work. Highly recommended. If you have a lot of upholstery you will probably have to give him a few days to order your colored leather, vinyl, carpet or headliner fabric before you bring it in for repair. I will be back to redo my whole driver's seat when the rest of my leather fully gives out in two or three years! ***Pro Tip - If you are getting your seats done, bring some carpet cleaning materials or a battery powered vacuum if you want to have that rare chance of cleaning up all your years of crumb and drink stains under and around your seat after the seat gets pulled out. I went in on a late Saturday afternoon to get my KTM seat shaved. The reason for the shave was so I could get the seat lower, hence, so I could reach the ground. Yes. I'm short. I loved the owners politeness and humbleness as I talked to him about what I needed. And even better, he could take care of it same day and in 2 hours. I was beyond joyed.
