We had a broken PVC pipe in our front yard. It was a pipe that led from under our house and provided water to our sprinklers and hose. Wow!!! I text Juan's Plumbing late last night (Sunday) about a clogged drain at my parent's house and he responded quickly. I asked if he could come Monday morning ASAP and he said yes. At 8am he text me to let me know there was on person ahead of us and before 9am he was at my parent's house. I called Juan when we had an emergency main line back up at our home. Juan was quick to answer, but unfortunately he was on his way out to Morgan Hill. He had a helpful conversation with me over the phone and explained what he or I would have to do to remedy the problem. Since he was on his way to another client in need (on a Sunday!) Hate to revise a previously positive review but I'm pretty frustrated in retrospect. During their visit, the plumbers said that my leaky toilet wasn't fixable and that the only solution was to buy a new toilet. When I asked me neighbor about his water bill and shared my monthly bill he said I definitely had a leak somewhere and came over to take a look. He fixed the toilet in about 20 minutes and my bills have gone from $300 a month to about $110 a month. You're a plumber. You should have fixed this instead of complaining that you didn't like my toilet. Very displeased with the money I've lost on high water bills due to your refusal to address this when you came out for the call. Response to comment from business: No, I didn't replace the toilet and nowhere in my comment did I say did. I asked you to fix the existing toilet, you said it wasn't fixable, and that cost me money. You're a plumber. I don't care what you think about my home, you were hired to do a job, you refused to do it for some bizarre toilet snobbery reason and your refusal to do your basic job cost me money. I called Juan after finding a 500 gallon a day leak (!!! not good during drought conditions). He came out fast, and found a very, very difficult leak. He spent 7 hours up to his shoulders in mud, muck and weeds repairing the breaks, which resolved the issue and made my HOA happy. I think that this is the fourth time that I called Juan for plumbing-related services, and he has yet to disappoint. This time, we gave him a challenge in that we needed our Toto washlet replaced with a new unit, because the one we had installed about 15 years ago gave up the ghost (it's nozzle started to drip, and Toto told us that there was no way to fix it). I work for a property management company. Got an urgent call from my tenants about major sewage problems. Everything was backed up! Found Juan on Yelp! (my go-to for everything...almost). Very responsive, went over to the site not long after contacting him, handled the problem with a quickness. Price is reasonable, if you think about it, its some tough dirty work... doubt I'd want to give it a try. I felt he was very honest with me. Patient in communicating with me and working things out since I'm not one of the residents, we discussed everything over the phone. Ive definitely kept his contact in my own contacts list for all the services necessary in home maintenance since I hear about these issues and problems so often (we manage +/- 30 units/properties). I sent a message through Yelp to Juan on a Sunday, he came that day even though he wasn't working other jobs and started helping me figure out significant water pressure issues throughout my home. He ended up needing to come back on Monday to descale our tankless water heater and replace corroded piping leading into the water heater; he did a very thorough job checking all fixtures and keeping me informed of his assessments along the way. Juan was personable and knowledgeable, and I never got the sense that he was trying to sell work that did not need to be done.
