We have been so thrilled with the new downtown Public House location of Blaum Bros. No visit to Galena is complete without a stop at Blaum Bros for a drink. By opening the downtown location, that pit stop became so much easier and accessible. Thank you! On top of the convenience, the ambience and service at the new downtown location are top tier. An upscale bar with homey and chic decor and ambience, you feel like you are walking into an old-timey bar for a classy drink. The staff are very knowledge and super friendly. The perfect combo! Furthermore, the drinks are just as delicious and creative as the original location. With fresh ingredients (liquors made by Blaum Bros themselves) and a vast array of selection, the sky is the limit with what mixed drink you might want. Plus they have beer on tap, wine, and snacks for those not interested in hard liquor. During our last visit, I got both the barrel aged Vieux Carre and a dirty gin martini with local blue cheese stuffed olives. Perfect delicious! And my husband got the Schlibbidy Doo, his favorite! We are so thankful for this new top tier location in Galena and we look forward to our next visit in the future!

Very nice cocktail lounge. The whiskey and rye both taste beautiful as they are both barrel aged. Adds a very bold and smooth flavor. Duck fat fries are outstanding and the house made dips pair perfectly. Who would've thought that fries work so well with curry! This is a must stop spot when visiting the Galena strip.

Stopped in here at the end of our visit to Galena to have a cocktail, but once we saw the menu, we decided to go ahead and EAT. The Pinkerton was DELICIOUS and the Korean Tacos were DIVINE! Our one disappointment was the Tikka Masala Pinsa. Neither one of us thought it measured up flavor wise, to the description. Figured it was probably just an off night, which IS gonna happen. Other than that, everything went well. The service was really good, and the atmosphere was lovely. Wouldn't mind coming back to try other things.

Great food and outstanding service! We had the Korean tacos and the Galena hot chicken- both outstanding. Cocktails are on point as well!

Amazing atmosphere and great drinks! Ask to have your drink smoked, it's a pretty cool show.

You can sit by the bar or in one of the many leather couches they have..we chose the latter. My wife had their Chocolate Martini and I had their Old Fashion along with a single shot of their bourbon. All drinks were very good. This is a family owned and operated craft distillery. They do not serve food at the distillery but they go at their other location in downtown Galena...Public House. They make their own Bourbon,Gin, Vodka,Rum and Rye Whiskey ..so something for everyone's palette.

The folks here are incredibly helpful and super knowledgeable about their products and similar spirits out there. There is no food, but I think there might be some snacks. The drinks are quite excellent. Check out their menu, but if you want something more standard, they can make that as well. The quality is very good, though the prices are slightly on the higher side especially for being in a pretty rural area. The distillery is beautiful, with super comfy plush chairs, games, TVs and everything you could want while you sip your tasty cocktail. They also have a nice gift shop for you to check out. Swing by when you're in the area!!

Looking at other postings, it appears that they change cocktails regularly which is fun. I tried one of their vodka cocktails and it was tasty. Cocktails are priced between $10-$14. I asked to sample their other vodka prior to purchasing a bottle to go. At time of review they had a dill pickle vodka (surprisingly tasty!, good for bloody marys) and a horseradish vodka (not a fan) Service was super friendly. They also have some non-alcoholic options. It was a little dark coming up the drive at night. I will definitely return.

This was such a pleasant surprise and would definately return.

Hello! Let me tell you the story of how our mother-daughter haunted tour date almost got ruined…read more My grandma bought my mom, my aunt, and me tickets for Amelia's Galena Ghost Tours at 6 p.m. There was nothing anywhere saying we needed to arrive early. We got there right at 6, parking directly behind the DeSoto house where the website said we would be meeting -- but there was no bus in sight. We started running around trying to find it, even went to their store, only to find the door locked and no one around. About 20 minutes later, my mom called to explain that we had arrived on time but no one was there. The lady on the phone said they had waited 20 minutes for us, looked for us, and then left. But if she had really been waiting, we would have seen her -- and definitely would have seen the bus! When my mom asked if we could move to the 7 p.m. tour instead, the lady said no because she "can't just give up the empty seats," and she wasn't very kind about it either. Eventually, she texted us later saying we could join the 7:30 p.m. tour for free. We decided to wait at a nearby restaurant and have a drink before the tour. We left around 7:12 to find the bus, got on, and they departed at 7:20. (10 minutes early) Our tour guide, Emily, was great -- she was super sweet and friendly. The driver (maybe the boss?) didn't seem as welcoming; she never spoke to us once and only talked during the investigation at the haunted house they own.

If I had been more proactive, I would have avoided spending time and money on this tour. My family of 6 was over $200... definitely not worth the money. After the tour, I sat down to write/read the reviews. Each negative review repeatedly said the same thing, so I decided not to repeat what has already been said. Apparently, these negative reviews have not made any difference because nothing has changed. I guess I just don't understand how a company can be satisfied knowing so many customers are dissatisfied.
