His passing left the company and his legacy to his son Charlie Price, played by the talented Brandon Wong, struggling to come to grips what to do. From the moment KINKY BOOTS , it started, the whole theatre guests were receptive and riveted in their seats. Each ensemble cast member performed their part on point and with great ease. The main character appeared as an adult "LOLA", played by Gilbert Dabady, elevated the energy level of her character level to a new high! Totally enjoyed the performance! Very convincing! "LOLA", grabbed the audience attention and did not let it go and commanded the stage along with "Charlie Price", played by BRANDON WONG. His powerful voice and acting made for a very entertaining scene! IT WAS A HUGE TREAT TO WITNESS SUCH TALENT, Thank you! The performers are vibrant, and experienced. The shows make you as the audience, react, think, and feel for the characters on stage. The seating area is not terribly huge, better described as moderate, so you will never have a bad view of the stage. The rest rooms are in the basement, and they seem decently sized. I used one before the show, so there was no crowd, but I can imagine that becoming a bottle neck at intermission. The theater company may not have a ton of control over the physical restrictions of the building, but they have total control over the quality of their productions, and they do a great job of turning them up to 11. Most people think of Symphony Hall, and the Museum of Fine Arts when they think of outlets on Huntington avenue, but they are overlooking a great, artistic resource conveniently located on the Avenue of the Arts.

The staff are all friendly and happy to help. They offer a nice selection of snacks and drinks to purchase that you can bring into the theater. They also validate parking at the information desk after you scan your ticket. There's plenty of great restaurants nearby to have dinner at before an evening show - I try a new one each time I visit the ART. Plus, cannolis from Mike's Pastry are nearby, so no need to travel to the North End!

Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) is a witty, tender, and wonderfully modern musical that had the audience laughing out loud, tearing up, and giving a well-earned standing ovation. The chemistry between Dougal (Sam Tutty) and Robin (Christiani Pitts) lit up the stage. Their performances were heartfelt and magnetic, the songs both catchy and moving, and the direction made the streets of NYC feel like they were unfolding right before us. A brilliant mix of humor, soul, and genuine emotion. Huge kudos to the entire cast and crew for such a standout show. Don't miss it--performances have been extended through July 13th! Very Excited to see this Broadway Production of after 16 years ago when it was First on stage here at NSMT! WELL, I was totally into this highly Choreographed Broadway production that I could not take my eyes away from the stage for a second! This cast has the best choreography from any Broadway production I have seen! They all were insync to the music ! (Which the NSMT ORCHESTRA, did not miss a Beat) Timing was spot on and truly breathtaking. You will be mesmerized at every aspect of its 2 hour performance. I watch from the best seats in the house ( know that Every Seat has great vantage points), and how each performers gave their Best heartfelt performances. Kudos to the Ensemble Cast! Bravo to All! One character who played Naphtali, Apache Dancer, and Ensemble did.....catch my eye......
