This optometry was in network for my insurance and the location is very close to my home so I decided to give this place a try. The optometrist is very talkative, a bit too much about everything single thing. But the part that got me mad was i went in on Oct 8 for my eye exam and decided to get reading glasses. She told me it should be ready in 10 days or less. As of the 22nd which already 2 weeks have passed, I called 3 days in a row. 2 days without any answer and her voicemail is too full to leave a message and today on the 24th I called 6 times and she finally picked up. I asked if my glasses were ready and she said yes they are. I was informed they would message me to tell me to pick up my glasses but I didn't get a single call or message and they were very hard to get in touch with. I dont think thats good customer service.i wont be coming back here. read more

I tried many popular optometries, which were filled with lots of patients. So,their eye exams were rushed through and my eyes didn't even have enough time to adjust between different exam lenses. I ended up with glasses that made me dizzy with headaches. When I stumbled on this place, I finally got the righ glasses and my eyes could read very comfortably. So, I came back for a pair of bi-focal glasses, besides the first pair of reading glasses. I'm again very satisfied with Dr. Huang's service. Dr. Huang is very knowledgeable and truly care for her patients. She is very detailed and considerate. When she examined my eyes, she gave me enough time, so my eyes could adjust for the exact results. Furthermore, she not only examined my two eyes seperately but also examined both eyes together for additional fine tune. The results seemed to be close but made a huge difference to me. I've been Dr Huang's patient for over five years, she genuinely cares about her patients and stay on top of addressing needs. My wife and I commute 30 miles to see Dr. Huang. This can be a quite busy location so note that it is by appointment only. Dr Huang invests in equipment such as optomap to capture ultra-wide field retinal image for annual eye exam. My eyes are fairly troublesome, during COVID-19 pandemic, almost everyone increased onscreen time (telework, tv, and etc). It seems my computer glasses that is 3 yrs old need to be updated again. Very fortunately, Dr Huang analyzed my situation and usage, she thinks my immediate need is driving glasses and claim thru insurance, I pay little to gain a new pair of glasses while keeping my old one. I was in back in Southern California this weekend to take care of business, and in my hurry to leave Northern California, I forgot my Ortho-K removal tool! Since I was in the Cerritos/Torrance area, I gave a quick search of optometrists that offer Ortho-K services that were also open on weekends. Judy Huang Optometry was one of the first results on the list, and since it was close to where I was passing through, I gave them a call. They picked up quick, and after I explained what I needed, they fortunately said they had the Ortho-K plunger and I could pick it up at any time. I made my way over and was greeted by two very nice ladies who not only showed me the tool I was looking for, but also another tool that had a few other purposes. Dr. Huang is the best optometrist I've ever had. Not only is she incredibly patient, kind, and informative, she goes above and beyond to make sure that her patients are absolutely satisfied. I went there for two reasons - 1) my old eye doctor told me that I might have glaucoma and said I should get a second opinion and 2) to get new contacts. Dr. Huang has this incredible machine that takes basically an ultrasound for my eye (she explained this all to me so well and clearly, unfortunately, I forgot a lot of it already haha), and she was able to tell me immediately whether or not I am a glaucoma suspect. Secondly, I've had horrible eye sight ever since I was 7, and I've never had an eye doctor take such special care to ensure that I am perfectly happy with my contacts. These are the most comfortable contacts I've EVER worn. She said she didn't want to look at my previous prescription (which would have saved her a lot of time) because she wanted to make sure she got my prescription exactly right, without any previous bias. She has lots of high prescription soft lenses on hand, because she wants consumers to be able to try them immediately and wear them for a week or two so she can check the eyes again before she places the order. And then AFTER I put the contacts on, she had me do a lot more tests to make sure that the tests also confirm that the contacts are perfect. I've never had an eye doctor be so thorough, and I can't recommend her enough. Yes, her prices are a bit higher, but it's absolutely worth it. I've been to many different optometrists in my life, and Dr. Huang is the best one I've ever gone to. *TIP - it's a bit tricky to get there, but they're right behind the McDonald's, and you can enter the shopping center a couple of different ways. This place is appointment only. The optometrist, Judy, is extremely knowledgeable. She will be my go to place and my hands down auto-referral for anybody looking for an optometrist. I'm over protective about my kinder age daughter who the school said needed a vision test. My daughter failed her vision exam at school. So i made an appointment for myself first to check her out. I came in with a barrage of questions and she not only answered them, she educated me the whole way. This gave me comfort to check my daughters eyes. I've been with this Optometrist for 3 years. She is patient and explains everything she does, her equipment and options for your eye wear and treatment. She and her office staff are wonderful caring people. They are very clear about the cost of treatment , contacts, glasses and what your insurance will cover. Dr. Huang is very friendly and super efficient! She does more tests for your eye health than other optometrists and will share those with your primary health care provider. She has a good selection of glasses and contact lenses to suit your style and comfort. Her assistant Alice is friendly and always there to help you. We have been patients of hers since she was a vendor at the Cerritos Target. When she went out on her own we were very excited and followed her to her new place of business. (Target supplies glasses with cheaper lenses.) If it is not a good quality product Dr. Huang won't sell it. It is much nicer to have her making all of the decisions for our Eye Care needs. read more

Dr. Huang taught me more about my eyes, how vision works, and what each machine does in one session than a lifetime of seeing other optometrists. It was my first time here last week, and it becomes immediately clear how friendly and caring she is. She also spent as much time with me as needed. The optometrist is very nice and professional, but the receptionist at the desk is the party crasher. She is rude, unprofessional, very nosy, and talks too much. She needs to mind her own business and just do what the customers want. Her attitude renders her unsuitable to work in a public place. I found Judy's Optometry on Yelp as I was experiencing some throbbing aches behind my eyes, especially the left one. It felt more like a migraine that started subtly a few weeks ago, which I dismissed. Yesterday, I had the ache act up again and it was VERY noticeable at work. It went on the whole day and I thought I overstrained my eyes by looking at the laptop for too long. When the ache persisted until today, that's when I knew I should take my time off of work to go check my eyes out. It had been about 5 years since my last check-up and I never needed them since I was basically 20/20 vision. Although that may be naive, I never had a problem with my eyes until now. I found a few optometry places through Yelp first and called each office to explain about my situation and what their process was. Not one really took the time to explain what it could be or how did it start. They just told me to come in and they would take a look. When I stumbled on Judy, I gave her office a call and spoke to her optometry partner. Immediately her concern was felt over the phone as she asked me a few questions and talking to me about my issue. She seemed to be greatly experienced and said I could come in within 30 minutes after getting a confirmation from Judy. Also they had a great consultation price for me to work with - in case it wasn't an eye issue after all. (Way cheaper than the other places I was quoted for!) I came in and filled out new patient paperwork and was greeted with a friendly smile from her optometry partner and her. Judy, then took me to the back to do some tests and scans on my eyes. She did a thorough screening on all of them and had high-tech equipment that also showed if my eyes had a chance of having a tumor or not. Thankfully, results showed that I had no issue of glaucoma or anything serious. Further on, I did more eye screening with the distance charts and she concluded that my left eye was weaker than the right and that my eyes were imbalanced at the moment with asymmetry. It's a common appearance amongst a lot of people to have a dominant eye and so this resulted for me to decide on picking some prescribed glasses to fix my left eye. Judy made me feel very comfortable, making small jokes and also giving insight to how it could be with my vision. I joked back that I didn't want a monocle since I had a singular eye problem. ("Imagine your right eye seeing things with an HD TV screen versus your left eye where it sees things compared to an old television - a little fuzzy and lacking clarity") She guided me to her wall of frames and brought out a brand called GEEK eyewear. Lightweight, affordable, and trendy! I picked out a black/gray gradient one and added Anti-Reflective with premium blue-light protection (add-on with additional price but could be worth it since I'm always on my computer/cell phone). This was a starter package amongst many other glasses that she had - which was fair in pricing since the use of glasses weren't going to be everyday for me, just occasionally to strengthen my left eyesight. The process was quick and warm. Another customer walked in and although Judy had to take some time out to assist her, when I was trying on glasses, she pulled a mirror for me to use while she was talking to the other client. She doesn't forget about you! Judy and her optometry partner seem to be very knowledgeable regarding eyesight and preventative issues. Judy took out about 10 more minutes to explain how I could correct my left eye and perhaps strengthening it over time with recommended exercises from her! So sweet. Overall, the price was expected for a sudden purchase of new glasses and prescription lenses, along with the great price for a consultation. :) Go see her! You won't be disappointed. read more
