They also are great with providing me with my prescriptions without pressure on buying their frames; however their opticians were helpful with having me try the low bridge frames they had in stock. If anything, therein is my only suggestion: please consider offering more low bridge frames as this is the only reason we go elsewhere for frames.

It started at another America's Best location, where I purchased six pairs of glasses. I couldn't wear any of them because everything was blurry. After struggling with them for almost 11 months, I finally went back and asked them to recheck my prescription. I even paid for another eye exam. It turned out the original prescription was significantly wrong, which explained why none of my glasses were usable. To their credit, they agreed to replace all of the lenses. They said sorry! Unfortunately, that's when my experience with the Cerritos location became just as frustrating. When I picked up one of my repaired pairs, I immediately noticed one of the arms was crooked. As soon as I got to my car and put them on, I called the store. The employee I spoke with told me not to worry and said I could bring them back whenever I wanted. Later that day, I returned, and I was told the glasses had likely been damaged by the lab during the lens replacement process. I was assured they would replace the frame, but instead of replacing it outright, they told me I would only receive a $186 credit even though I originally paid $210 for the frame. Today I returned to resolve the issue and was helped by Rick. Unfortunately, the customer service was extremely disappointing. He was sitting on his phone when I walked in and acted as though I was interrupting him. After I explained the entire situation, his response was basically that he didn't know anything about it and that I could go pick out another pair. He never offered to walk me over, help me find a replacement, or explain the process. When I asked him to unlock a display case so I could look at a pair, he acted inconvenienced and annoyed. There was no professionalism, no empathy, and no effort to help resolve a problem that wasn't my fault. I sincerely hope management reviews the security camera footage from my visit because it clearly reflects how I was treated. This entire experience has been exhausting. First, I spent nearly a year unable to wear six pairs of glasses because of an incorrect prescription. Then one of the replacement frames was damaged during the repair process. Now I'm having to fight just to have the damaged frame replaced after being told it would be. At this point, I just want the last pair fixed so I can move on. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location. The level of customer service was poor, the communication has been inconsistent, and the entire process has been far more difficult than it ever should have been.

We had a great experience at Modern Optometry and were very happy with the care our family received. Dr. Chen and Brian at the front desk were welcoming, professional, and made the visit run smoothly from start to finish. Brian was patient and attentive with our kindergartner, offering breaks during the eye exam when it was clear he was having trouble getting comfortable with the machines and found the changing images distracting. His calm approach helped make the process much easier for our child. Dr. Chen is personable and approachable, and she took the time to answer all of our questions clearly. The appointment felt efficient without being rushed. She also had special glasses designed for kids, which helped make our child's first eye exam a positive experience. Selecting frames for my husband was easy thanks to a wide range of options, with a nice mix of budget-friendly and higher-end brands. Stopped by Modern Eyes to pick up a new pair of backup glasses. They have a large selection with a variety of styles and price points. With the help of an assistant and the optometrist, Dr. Chen, I was able to find a pair that looks fashionable, fits comfortably and was in my budget. Dr. Chen was also very helpful and provided a lot of detailed information about eye care, choosing contacts and glasses. I left Modern Eyes with a new pair of specs and a lot of knowledge. The high quality service and attention makes Modern Eyes stand out from the 6-7 other optometrists I have tried out over the past ~10 years. Dr. Chen's staff is really friendly and helpful. I wasn't rushed when picking out my frames, they let me take my time and gave really great suggestions and feedback. But most importantly, I loved Dr. Chen! She's modern, knowledgeable and understands the needs of young working professionals in terms of what kinds of eyewear and/or contacts would fit best with my lifestyle. Went in to get new glasses as well as prescription sunglasses. Excellent selection and extremely nice and clean office. All the newest machines and technology. Great selection of frames to choose from including tons of name brand ones. I'm not fancy but I walked out with Prada glasses and prescription Ray Bans for a great price.
