This business is located in a plaza right off Norwalk Blvd and the 91 freeway. Great location with plenty of parking. The office is clean and all the staff is kind and professional. They have a good selection of frames in all price ranges unlike other places that only have expensive luxury options. The staff is so helpful when I am shopping for frames. They make great recommendations when you need help deciding. I have been going here for a few years now and have recommended them to family in the area. I needed a new eye doc, and I hate shopping for new doctors. And I have vision insurance that not everyone takes, so I found this place from the list that I got from my insurance provider. Then I looked them up on yelp, and they have pretty good reviews, and they're close by my house. So I thought I would give it a try. Definitely the highest tech eye exam I've ever had! They got me right in, I filled out my new patient forms online, they had reusable forms that they scanned once you got into the office, and all the machines needed to get the perfect prescription. Staff were efficient and kind, and seem to know what they were doing. The doc was great and I left feeling like I was important to them as a patient. Ended up buying some really cute frames, with digital progressive lenses. I think this is my new eye care place! read more

I have coming here for some years and as always I'm a very satisfied patient. It's very clean, everyone is so friendly and helpful, I usually wait about 10-15 min max to be seen by the optometrist who is usually friendly and patient with me. They have a big selection but wish it was bigger. I wanted the exact same frames that I already had and just my luck, they only had 1 pair but in another color "purple" which is ok because it's a very pretty color, anyhow they would have ordered the color I wanted but I like the purple. I was just here today and Ive been coming here for about 3 years now i think. Been to different eye care and eye cares' technology is so much more up to date. The optometrist listens to all my concerns and had always ask me if theres anything else that i needed. The Staff are very accomodating and very atttentive. Found this place because I had an urgent eye issue and my regular optometry didn't have any same-day availabilities. The phone receptionist was very helpful with verifying my insurance (Medi-Cal) over the phone and booking the appt. I completed patient/COVID forms (that were emailed to me) online prior to my appointment so check-in was very quick! I also liked that for their in-office paperwork, they use a reusable laminated form that you sign with dry erase marker and then they scan it...so theres less paper waste! I was pleasantly surprised how fast and easy this place was. We were looking for a new optometrist and our family friend referred us to this place because she used to work here. Oddly enough, Dr. Huang was a classmate of my cousin. What a small world! We had VSP so it was nice that they took that and our copay for examination was only $25. Keep in mind we have a family of four and we did have to buy some contacts and glasses this time so it still was a small fortune for us even after the insurance. However, the exam was easy for the kids and again oddly enough, more difficult for us. We actually had to re-configure some of our contacts here as opposed to the ones Dr. Huang suggested. Not a problem, they were done to how we wanted. This place can be a little hard to find but its at the corner of Woodruff and Rosecran. If traveling away from the 605 freeway, you would make a left on Woodruff when you see Carls. read more

Love this place! I saw Dr. Huang and he was so nice and took the time to get to know me during my visit. The entire staff here takes great care of the clients. Karla is my favorite and she helped me pick out regular eyeglasses and sunglasses. She even ordered a different color frame they didn't have at the time so I could look at it in person to see if I like it. I look super cool with my sunglasses thanks to her. It was time for me to get my eyes checked and so I searched for a place close to where I live. This location came up and I made an appointment. Parking was not an issue as they have a big parking lot. When I walked in, I was greeted and assisted right away. The wait time was minimal and the staff were very friendly. The check up process was quick and easy. They have a very clean and spacious interior. They have a wide variety of frames to choose from. Pricing for prescription glasses and contacts check up are reasonable. They were able to give me an appointment the next day and the whole process was very convenient. My eyeglasses were ready within a week. I would definitely recommend this location if you are looking for fast and friendly service. read more

this place is outstanding. i've been to a few local optometry places throughout the years and i can say this is the best one. there's a great team of people that work here and they're so nice. i been here to get my glasses and took my mom here afterwards after i received amazing service. it's super clean and they don't allow anyone in until it's your appointment time and have other patients wait in their car. and have you take a survey and temperature prior to coming in. had Perla take care of my mom today. my mom could be a lot sometimes even for me and my mom made a comment and she responded really well to it. my mom tried on at least 20 glasses which didn't bother Perla as she had to sanitize each one afterwards. she was amazing and so patient and so helpful with my mom, unlike other optometries in the area. eye care west give this woman a raise read more

Just an update from my last review.... The manager did her best to get me a resolution, unfortunately it was one that wouldn't work for me. She was and has been very nice in working with me on a resolution she felt was good. It is a good option for some, but I don't like two perscriptions on one pair of glasses, that's me. If I want another pair for the night driving it is going to cost. So, I appreciate everything they did to try and make things right on their end. I still think this is the best eye Care place I have been too and I still recommend people to go here and the staff is the best I have come across. read more

Started going to Eyecare West right before they actually moved to Cerritos and was so happy about the convenience of their new location since we are coming from Cypress! Located right off the 91 fwy and in a nice little professional plaza with ample parking and easy access. Always greeted with smiles as soon as you walk in the door and I don't recall ever having to wait to be assisted by anyone. The entire staff is awesome and they make your visits enjoyable. Perla, Gladys, and Blessie are always super efficient, friendly, and helpful in so many different ways. I've had questions about my insurance, warranty on frames, best deals on contact lenses, etc. and they always make me feel like they want to help and always try to find the best solution to whatever issue there may be. The exams are so painless and quick - yes, even the air puff test! They have an updated version of that and the puffs of air are no longer blasts. Just tiny little puffs that allow you to actually keep your eyes open. I've also had the pleasure of being examined by both Dr. Huang and Dr. Fong. They are super informative and do their best to squeeze you in when you have an unexpected eye issue (twice for me). They are very thorough and make informed recommendations for you based on your preferences or complaints on different brands you may have tried. Great selection of frames and great deals on lens replacement warranties for scratches or damage. I purchased the 2 year lens replacement warranty since I have two little ones that are fascinated with my glasses and I'm so thankful I did! Quick turnaround to get my glasses back on my face as well. Took less than a week to get my scratched up lenses replaced with brand new clear ones I could see through. I always look forward to my appointments and even with the current Covid-19 situation, they made my recent visit go so smoothly. My appointment was made over the phone and confirmed via text. Upon arrival I was told to either call or text so that they can open the door for me (locked during Covid - no walk-ins). There was only one other patient in there and I only saw her when I first walked in. Everyone had masks on and everything was and always is sanitized. They don't know what they are doing. They are only concerned about taking money from the clients. They said my insurance cover eye exam and when I asked them to double check. Then they come back and say I have to pay out of pocket. I told them to do contact lenses prescription when I got my eye exam done. Now they are telling me I have to do a separate eye exam. My previous doctor has giving me contact lenses prescription free for years when I got my annual exam done. I'll never go here again. read more

I have not seen an eye doctor in a very long time. My last visit with an eye doctor was with Kaiser but my insurance no longer covers through Kaiser which is why it was very important for me to find a good clinic. My experience with Eye Care West Optometry was exceptionally better than my experience with Kaiser. Doctor Fong was able to answer all my questions and provided me with the perfect prescription. Dr. Huang and his staff are awesome. Great customer service, friendly, and efficient. He came highly recommend from a friend and did not dissapoint. I came in and was greeted by the front desk. Filled out the usual paperwork. I wasn't sure about my vision coverage as i switched plans. They ran my insurance and called my carrier to even double check for coverage. Thats service. I decided to order my contacts through them because the service was so good. Whats a couple extra bucks for good service. They gave me the current manufacturer discount which you would expect. Unprofessional. I decided to try a different eye doctor just to change it up because I've had the same eye doctor for 5 years. I regret it. 1. Most businesses tell you how much the service will cost or explain it to the customer before any service is given. On my very first visit, I was told about the 70 something dollars copay charge (along with insurance coverage) after the eye examination.. 2. The eye doctor fitted me into contact lens that are newer, even though I stated to her that I'm fine with and PREFER the older version contact lens. She said she'd just fit me into the new contact lens for now and she can just write in the older brand when I come back in. 3. I come in 3 weeks later to get my prescription and they said the eye doctor that fitted me left the office. Okay? How about you tell brand new patients that your eye doctor is leaving in a couple weeks? They called me a couple times a week later but they did not mention on the phone or on voicemail that my eye doctor left or was leaving. 4. Front desk clerk told me that if I had come back in a week then maybe I'd have the prescription I wanted. OKAY thanks for the warning in the voicemail that you left me a week later. So because I told the doctor that I prefer a contact lens brand, yet got fitted for a different brand. And then that same doctor ends up leaving to practice in a different office, it's my fault that I simply couldn't get the prescription for the contact lens brand that I wanted?! I'd rather go get my eye exams elsewhere where I've always gone and I'm actually listened to as an eye patient, not a customer. read more

eye care west has been my optometry for years and they're great. myself and both of my parents see dr fong. dr. fong has been my eye doctor since high school and he is very kind and patient. i wear both glasses and contact lenses and the office has great communication whenever i have an appointment or an order. the front desk ladies and assistants are super kind and send reminder text messages. they even text me on my birthday! every time i go in for an appointment, the eye tests are never uncomfortable and easy. i highly recommend this office for anyone seeking a new eye doctor. read more

Found Dr Brian Fong when he had his own practice. Decided to stick with him as our family optometrist. I love this new office he moved to. The staff are so friendly, helpful and accomodating when assisting us to find the perfect pair of glasses. They have a nice variety.
