Came in around Midnight on a Saturday....Servers seemed overwhelmed/short staffed....Table was a little sticky, and menus could use some updating...Dirty stained menus are a turn off for me....Silverware was clean...Burger was cooked well done, and was ok...The fries seemed to be hand cut and were above average. read more

Ordered a little after 10 pm. Waited for an hour for our food (omelets & biscuits and gravy) . Finally requested it be put into to go boxes for when they did get it ready. Very good place to stop right off the highway. Ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich and it was delicious. Good flavor and just the right amount of breading. Husband got the chicken fried steak special with three sides for $7.69. I am generally Leary of truck stops but it was separate from the gas station and clean. The menus are a bit old and dirty. The bathroom was clean and updated. Friendly staff. We will be back! read more

Great breakfast food. I generally enjoy it. Service is good. The main thing I don't like is the flies and the seats. The seats are worn out so you get poked by springs and there are just flies everywhere. You have to constantly swat to avoid having your food carried away. read more

When I went to go to a "diner" I go to Judy's. When I was new to the area I worked night shift. So I would sleep during the day and then be awake. Judy's was one of the few, now it has gotten to be the only one, that was open for 24 hours. Their staff is always friendly and helpful. The food at Judy's is always good to me and not pricey. You can get a meal there and not break the bank. I like the decorations of the restaurant. It gives it a friendly vibe and I will always be a fan of Judy's. read more

It's under new ownership but as delicious as it's always been. Also it's been remodeled and the smoke smell is out, which is a huge plus to me. My regular order has been the same since high school: cheeseburger and fries with a bottomless cup of coffee. But the small hamburger steak with gravy and grilled onions is a winner and so is the fried chicken. read more

I came in and saw a busy (Memorial Day lunch rush) they where short staffed and overwhelmed. We found a seat and waited about 15 minutes to get our menu and ordered (the menu was old). A good old fashion truck stop diner. The ham and cheese omelet had chunks of ham not just a sprinkling of ground ham. The skuttle butt, is loaded hash browns they were very good, next time in will have them add jalapenos. Service was friendly and had good suggestions for recommendations. Oh my goodness! Look no further for good food, good service... nice people... and just a friendly atmosphere!! Judy's is the place you want to stop! It's small but so worth the stop! We got the fried pork tenderloin sandwich and side of fries as well as the Beef sandwich and a side of cottage cheese! Two teas as well! They only serve Pepsi products so if you're a coke freak you are warned! Their desserts are so tempting, but we were so full that it just couldn't happen this time!! The food was served quick and hot and oh my goodness so much food for the little price that they charge!! I felt like I was eating in the country ! It was yummy and we will be back! Judys is a very welcoming and friendly place! They make you feel welcome and at home. After cleaning up a construction site a few friends and I were HUNGRY and we decided to try Judy's. They have weekly deals posted on a white board which caught my eye. I got the special of the 8 oz. sirloin steak with potato salad, green beans, and a drink for 10.99! That's a dang good deal! We also got the super burger with fries, a ham dinner,and an omelette; which all were delicious and made well. They check in on your needs and are happy to help if you need anything. My boyfriend an I were on the search for a good diner for some breakfast on our way home to Kc. And oh man am I glad we stopped into this one! The service was out of this world and the food was even better!! The servers were all so sweet and engaging and made us really feel like they were happy to have us in there. After a long day of driving, we decided to stop in Jasper, MO to find a place to eat. I saw a truck stop off in the distance and said, "All truck stops have good food". Then she noticed the sign at Judy's Cafe said "Good Food Here". What luck! Walking in, there was a singing Santa statue by the door and you could smell the stale smoke. I saw a sign towards the back that said "Non-smoking section" and we headed that way squeezing between empty chairs and occupied tables only to find that section was closed. So we sat in the next "best" booth, next to the singing Santa. After an extended amount of time, I suggested we leave but she wanted to wait it out since it was late and we were tired and hungry. Finally, our waitress brought us two menus and two waters...perfect (except the delay). The menu is huge and has plenty of your typical truck stop items and they serve breakfast all the time. She decided on a recommended pork tenderloin sandwich, baked potato, and salad bar while I ordered an egg, hashbrowns, chicken fried steak, and sausage gravy. She went to the highly recommended salad bar (because it had plenty of extra items a side salad wouldn't get you like ham, bacon, hard boiled eggs, and many other items you'd expect on a salad bar). She came back with lettuce, some cheese, croutons, and no dressing. Apparently the salad dressings had separated and had layers of oil on top, there was no ham, no bacon, the macaroni salad had congealed and the fruit looked old (even the other waitress commented on the macaroni salad and how disgusting it looked). She ate her "salad" and we waited. And waited. And waited. I again suggested we leave money for the "salad" and leave. She still wanted to stick it out. Finally we got our food. It looked good except for the layer of grease on her tenderloin. She cut into her "baked" potato to find it frozen on the inside. I tasted my chicken fried steak and uncooked pre-frozen just out of the microwave hashbrowns. I do have to say the sausage gravy was good. She tasted her tenderloin and put down her fork, pushed her plate away. I tasted her tenderloin (the sandwich...get your mind out of the gutter) and pushed her plate away. She told me to eat my food but she was done. I again told her we could leave. She told me to eat...and then tasted my chicken fried steak. Then she FINALLY (after an hour of listening to singing Santa) agreed that even I shouldn't eat that. This would be the first time in my life I would leave an entire dinner at the table. She walked out and with all her might avoided ripping Santa's arm off and smashing him with it as she passed. I went to the cash register and the waitress asked if our meal was bad. I mentioned the potato and the grease and to her credit she said I could just go. So if nothing else, Judy's Cafe has an awesome understanding waitress. So if you want to stop by and say "hi", I'd recommend that. Just don't bother to eat the food. read more

Good for only a truck stop if you're passing by... stuck in time (prices too which is a plus!) with people smoking at the table next to you :( Bacon burgers really good with home-made real meat patties. Chicken salad never again - mayonnaise with a bit of minced chicken dressing, but this is probably how the locals prefer it. read more
