It's a hole in the wall drive in. Been here for many years and the paint and the decor make that clear. You don't go to these old fashioned dives for the decor though. Service was good, with everything made to order. Went on a Sunday and the after church crowd filled the place. Great double burger that was well seasoned. Tots and onion rings were crispy and tasty. Great place to get an old-fashioned burger that makes you feel like it's back in the 50s/60s. The staff was super friendly and answered our questions about what items came on the different food items and was helpful on adding some extras like grilled onion on the burger. We ate inside and it was the first time being in. The place you can tell is very old and the building is showing its age for the dining room with a massive amount of wear and tear. For an old-school drive-in, that is not a make or break for me as the building and most items are most likely original and it is what it is. Ordered a side of Suzi-Q's and they were hot and fresh but they just didn't have a lot of flavor. I regretted not getting the tater tots instead and would most likely just get a burger by itself in the future. It would be nice if they had some light seasoning compared to just salt or used seasoned fries as the base. The burger was where the home run was for me. I kept it simple and had pickles, ketchup, and grilled onion with cheese and the only thing I regretted was getting a single and not the double. It was piping hot and had come straight off the flattop. the cheese was melted and gooey. The burger was super juicy and like a classic old-fashioned burger, had some grease soaked into the bun which made the flavor just burst. read more

We almost drove right past it, but it's a good thing that we didn't. I had the most absolutely delicious cheeseburger. It reminded me of burgers I used to eat as a child 60 years ago. Fast service for sure, and the kiddos think the Tator Tots are better than Sonic Drive-In. Kiddo # 1 wasn't impressed with the hamburger. Kiddo # 2 took a few bites and seemed more impressed than Kiddo # 1. I think the Super Burger was okay. I like the semi-charred pattie. I'm not a fan of shredded lettuce on burgers. The tomato seemed fresh and sized perfectly for the burger. The cheese threw me off melted underneath the burger patties and not on top. The burger didn't have ketchup, mustard only. I'll try this method next time I make burgers at the house. We ordered three small shakes, and they were go-to-go. Overall for two regular hamburgers, one super burger, one larger tot, and three small shakes. $30 bucks was a stretch. However, I would come back again and find a way to enjoy the meal at a lower cost with the kiddos. This establishment seems like a local and fan favorite. If I could change anything. If you are craving a good old-fashioned hamburger this is the place to get one! The chubby cheeseburgers are some of the best! They are tasty and juicy. The service can be slow if you use the drive-through. So just know you will have a bit of a wait to get your food, but it's worth it because everything will be freshly made. I give 4 stars because the last time I came my Suzy Q's had a slight onion taste to them and they were kind of soggy. It was as if they had been fried with onion rings or maybe in old grease. I haven't had Babes in probably 7 years. The last time I had it I was a high schooler and now I'm much older (obviously). It was so much tastier than I remember! The cheeseburgers and milkshakes were great. My mom got a frito pie... it didn't really look appetizing but man, oh man, it was good! I felt like the prices were a bit expensive but oh well! The food was tasty and the staff did a great job cleaning tables as soon as people left. The drive thru also had a longgggg line when we arrived. Our food took a minute to come out but it was worth it. Can't wait till I'm back out in that area to visit for some more crispy French fries and ice cream! read more

If you like good, old fashioned smash burgers, curly fries (ask for them well done, they are amazing), and old fashioned cherry Pepsi with good crushed ice, this is your place. Overall the experience was very lacking. it has been a couple years since I've eaten here I remember my mom used to love eating here back in the day and we will come here as a family. I was very disappointed at how everything was kept the restaurant as a whole is very dirty. Dust and dirt filled every corner, you couldn't eat without having to look at booger's wipes on windowsills and grease streaked floors.The food was very mediocre;french fries used to be hand cut and tasted amazing. Now they are nothing but frozen fries that you could get at Walmart. They had very little taste other than cardboard. When asked about seasonings they only offered salt...The burger itself was pretty good, but my fiancé ordered fish and chips, and we were surprised to get Walmart brand fish sticks.Most likely will not be returning which is unsettling for a place that was once very dear to our hearts. read more
