Ever since I moved out, I don't get the benefits of getting my underarms waxed for free by my mom ): I was in desperate need of a good wax, and this location is the closest (and most reputable) place to campus. It's a small shop by Yum Yum Donuts. The little lady who waxed me (I didn't get her name) was so sweet. She reminded me so much of my mom. She made sure she got every little hair and she spoke in a really gentle voice. I felt super comfortable. The pricing was also decent, it was $15 I believe. The place was clean and it's affordable. Besides, the fact that my nails look great, thanks to Judy, I find her to be honest and her prices are very reasonable. My nails look beautiful when Judy is done. Judy's nails is a great little shop! I've been going there for a couple of years now and I always have a spectacular job done on my mani and pedi's. The shop is very clean and the staff are extremely sweet while aiming to please their customers. If you have an issue, just ask to have the problem fixed, Judy wants nothing more than happy clients! As far as nail polish lasting, I can honestly say my pedi's last at least a month. But guess what? Nail polish chips super easily in general, so there's no need to really address that issue in the first place. Judy is so great at what she does. I love getting french tip gel manicures and I've tried so many other places, they disappointment me almost every time. Okay, I'll admit I'm a perfectionist - I need clean lines and I want the white polish to go from one edge to the other edge. And that's what I got from Judy... score! The ladies were very nice, but the manicure was just ok. I paid for the extra massage but it was lack luster, I couldn't feel it. And the base coat they use for their regular manicures is rubbish as my nails peeled off within days. I had to take off all my polish when a manicure usually lasts me a week. Was looking for a new nail salon so I thought I would try Judy. I made an appointment in the morning for 5 p.m. I didn't know how long it would take to find the place so I ended up getting there at 4:45, a little early. I finally left at 5:20 because my time is very valuable and I wouldn't want to do business with an establishment that doesn't honor my appointment especially the first time I do business with them. read more

I called earlier in the on Friday to see if they had any available appointments for a full set and Judy was able to get me in the same day at 5:45pm. I got there just in time for my appointment, and given how stressed I was that week, she mentioned that I also asked for a pedicure, which I can't recall asking for (there's a slim chance that I did - work was pretty hectic and I was worn out) but when I got there she gave me a little attitude about it. Now I understand the miscommunication and the frustration it garnered, but when it came time for me to get my set, the lady at the very back was the one that glued the tips on and Judy finished up her client and had me sit. At this point, I've only been here once before and I only got a gel manicure on my natural nails, but when Judy had me and started working on me, she was rushing. I was asking her about the gap between my natural nail and the tip and she kept telling me to relax and that she'll get to it. I couldn't relax with her handling my nails so roughly, she actually over buffed the side of my nail and under my nail to a point where it stung for a day and a half. Now I have to get my nails ripped off at another nail salon to correct it, just out of fear I could get fungus. read more

They really did a good job! If you need to unwind, this is the place to come. I started my day with a mani / pedi, I got the deluxe pedicure with the parrfan wax and it was so cool to have my foot dipped in the wax and the sleeve came right off after it settled, it was so rejuvenating! I have been twice for a mani pedi......I have found my little piece of heaven. One of many things I like about Judys is that its small. She has three of the fancy massage pedi chairs and two employees. These ladies do not rush, i get the gell polish on my nails and not chipping at all. I came here for a last minute gel fill, after reading the other reviews I decided it'd be safe to try this place for the first time. I called ahead and they said I could come in right away. When I got there Judy made me wait so that she could continue doing her hair in a back room. Finally during the time of my service I couldn't relax at all, she kept jerking my hand around and making me hold my arm in awkward positions so she could work. I specified I wanted a GEL fill and she pulled out acrylic powder. Definitely trying to go the cheaper route for herself and I expect she does this with all other clients who may not know the difference. I called her out on it and she proceeded to glob the gel on my nails so unevenly and left me without a topcoat at the end. My first visit I got a special parafin pedicure with extra attention to cuticle removal and callouses. They also specialize in gentle waxing lips and brow shaping! Ms. Judy, her staff and friendly clientele are a refreshing place to relax and feel pampered. Prices are very reasonable and the quality of work is appreciated. Most Defenitely the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I'm normally not picky in the slightest but from the moment me and my mom walked in the door I was upset by how we were treated by Judy. I'm writing this while getting my toes done. We called ahead and I wanted acrylics. She started by basically pushing me into the chair and demeaning me for how long I was taking to pick a color. I've never been so uncomfortable in my life due to her rushing so fast my nails ended up crooked and burning underneath the acrylics. She also cut them extremely short. My nails were literally burning so bad every time she touched them. She consistently said I don't have time every time I tried to tell her what was wrong. I have been to various nail salons, and I absolutely am amazed with Judy's nail salon! Without a doubt, it was the best experience and service I have had at any salon! Judy, the owner, is very gracious and welcoming, and her other ladies are also the same. Tina and Tammy were the ladies who did my manicure and pedicure and were wonderful! They took their time and made sure that my nails were just right. I did not feel rushed at all. Because I was a walk walk-in, I waited about 10 minutes before they could start on me,and they were very apologetic. I would highly recommend Judy's Nails to anyone. I also got my eye brows waxed, which is why I'm giving the 3-star review. The technique used was horrifically painful, and not only that, she used an alcohol pad on my skin AFTER she waxed me. Now, I have sensitive skin, already, but an alcohol pad after you just put hot wax on my skin...just awful and painful!
