I have been going here for about four months and have had a very good experience. The salon is always clean, the prices are reasonable and everyone is friendly and welcoming. Hidden gem in El Cajon! The owner just opened her very own shop and her work is amazing. The environment is very clean, comfortable and cute for a small shop. I love getting my gel nails here, they are very durable & never chip (I work a lot with my hands and moving equipment so I'm very hard on my nails) My lash retention is fantastic, and anytime I go out, I'm ALWAYS complimented on my lashes and nails. I rarely leave anything less than a glowing review, but I feel it's important to share my experience at this salon. I called ahead and spoke with Amy, who was incredibly sweet and invited me to come in right away. That initial interaction was warm and welcoming, which made me feel optimistic. When I arrived, the salon was completely empty. One tech was on her phone, and another was slouched back in a chair -- not a big deal, it was a slow day. I was greeted by the latter (I asked for her name twice, but she mumbled and I didn't catch it -- maybe Kim?). From the start, she seemed disengaged and uninterested in being there. I had gel polish on both my nails and toes, which has never been an issue at other salons. I explained that my natural nails are long and asked her to please be gentle with the gel removal. Instead, she went straight in with the grinder -- all the way to my natural nail. I reminded her again that they were my real nails, but she continued aggressively. Then she asked if I wanted a fill -- no ma'am, there's no acrylic here. Just gel polish. Confused, she asked if it was dip -- again, no. It was clearly gel. She asked two more times and eventually called Amy over, claiming it was dip. It wasn't. But by then, the damage was done -- my nails were over-filed and thinned from the grinder. Then came the polish color. I asked to match my fingers and toes, but she told me the toe color was empty. Amy came over again and showed her it wasn't. Strange and unnecessary confusion for something so simple. At the end, Amy was on the phone, and I could only make out the word "dip" again. I asked if something was wrong, and she quickly said no -- and then offered me a discount "for the dip." What?! I've never had dip in my life. The whole interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and misjudged -- like I was being accused of lying to avoid paying something, which I found insulting and offensive. To be clear, Lynn -- the tech who did my pedicure -- was fantastic. She was professional, kind, and did a great job. But the woman in the green dress (the one who seemed to be napping when I walked in) should honestly reconsider her role in customer service. It felt like she didn't want to be there, and unfortunately, that showed in her attitude and the quality of work. In hindsight, I shouldn't have tipped her -- but I did. Not because she earned it, but because I believe in tipping people for their time. Sadly, this was one of the worst nail experiences I've ever had. read more

Vicky is so good at what she does. She's patient, detail- oriented and listens to your needs no matter what type of eyes you have. I have monolid eyes but that's not even a problem to her, she's always able to do her magic to make me look pretty no matter what. I got so many compliments every time I get them done. I am extremely disappointed and upset with the service I received at your salon. During my visit, I was cut badly enough to cause bleeding -- this is completely unacceptable and shows a serious lack of care and professionalism. I trusted your staff to provide a safe and hygienic experience, but instead, I was hurt. I expected a percentage off for the service as I was told, however I still ended up paying the full amount for a manicure $30 please fix your staff's skills. I got my pedicure done by Amy. She is really good and knows the pressure point to apply during the massage. I highly recommend coming here. The atmosphere is calm, soothing and very welcoming.
