I came here recently on a hot day to get something refreshing to cool off. As I waited for 20 minutes due to an extremely long line from its popularity, I finally came to the register and was greeted by a worker named Soo. She was very outgoing and asked me how my day was. As soon as I replied, a rude customer behind me told me to hurry up to which Soo came to my defense and helped me stand my ground. She then quickly made my drink in less than 1 minute but the taste and quality of it was unlike anything I'd ever tried. 10/10, highly recommend this establishment for its cleanliness, kind employees, and wonderful refreshments. My husband and I walked in at 5:50pm. We were very excited to try a new boba place! We were looking at the menu deciding what we wanted to drink. However the cashier made it VERY clear that the store was about to close. The cashier stated, "Just letting you know, we are closing in 10 minutes, so not a lot of time frame" and used hand gestures. This is the best smoothie spot I've ever been too. They have the #1 Strawberry Banana Smoothie I have ever tasted in my lifetime. Also the pinacolada is really really good as well. This used to be my favorite smoothie place growing up. The previous owner was there for over 10 years and the smoothies were amazing. Since the new owners took over the quality of everything just completely changed and plummeted. They changed the recipes, took stuff off the menu, and now the smoothies are much more bland. Such a shame they didnt choose to keep the old recipes and way of making the drinks that kept Juice City so successful, loved and popular. The aesthetic of the new design is nice however thats not what will bring me back. If something isnt broken dont fix it. read more

Mediocre smoothies. Awful service. I came in here this morning with my husband, my 7 year old son, and my 3 year old daughter. It was our first time here so we were just looking over the menu. There was no one else behind us, so we casually ordered drinks for everyone. The lady behind the counter was so impatient and made me uncomfortable so I felt obligated to order quickly. My kids both wanted a bag of sour cream and onion chips but there was only one bag. I asked the owner if she had any more in the back. She answered yes and charged me for two bags. Later, when our drinks were ready, I asked again about the second bag and she said she didn't have anymore. She acted annoyed because I had asked for the second bag she had already CHARGED me for. After reading several reviews my wife wanted to try this place out. We attempted to come here one night after visiting Kohls but they decided to close early that day I guess and had a sign on the window that they would reopen the following morning. We decided we would come back and see what all the fuss is about. Upon walking in we were greeted by the girl working the front counter. The place is colorful and has a very nice setup. The inside is quite small but has a cool window built in where you can watch the workers make your smoothie or shake which is kind of neat. The menu is quite large and has many varying options. I decided upon the #12 which consisted of blueberries, boysenberries and banana for my first experience here. The drink was made nicely and had a lot of flavor (although I could not taste the banana which was a little disappointing to me as I love banana). The flavors were nice and tasted quite fresh although the smoothie itself was not as thick as I would have liked. I know that smoothies depending on ingredients can vary in degrees of thickness (it's not a shake after all) but this was like drinking juice out of a glass. The taste was good but is it better than other smoothies I have had, I don't know. Friendly service, decent pricing, good flavor. Better than Jamba Juice or Juice It Up? Come in and try for yourself and you decide. To me, it just adds another option to the mix and I will for sure be back to try more flavors the next time in in the area. read more

Recently saw the movie Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead made by documentarian, Joe Cross, in which he lauds the health benefits of juicing. My husband, newly drawn to smoothies, thought we should try a few juice bars in our area. Swayed by the positive Yelp endorsements for Juice City, today we gave them a try. Two outstanding comments swayed us - 1. cleanliness and 2. fresh ingredients. As always, our Yelper friends were right on the nose. Hubby selected a large fruit smoothie - pineapple and strawberry. YUMMERS! Really good and refreshing. He downed it faster than I could ask, "So how did you like it?" The dry straw heaves and his Cheshire Cat grin was message enough. He liked it, he really liked it. In my desire to move away from fruit-based drinks I selected a small carrot/beet/celery combo as suggested by Christine. She was right, the drink was refreshing, but it wasn't icy cold and the pungent flavors were a bit exotic for my novice palate. I did drink and enjoy it, but know next time to combine veggies with fruit before going full-on veggie. It's an acquired taste. Good customer service. Charming shop. Conveniently located. Easy to find. Loads of free parking. I asked for a frequent buyer's card. We plan, very soon, to try other options from their vast array of choices. Here's to a year of good health ahead. I noticed this place a few weeks ago and I love smoothies, so I figured I should try it out. However when I thought of going one day, it turned out that they are closed on Sundays. Good thing I checked Yelp before I went. I had forgotten about it during the week as my week was hectic as normal. I had thought about picking one up on this last Friday while I was over there. They had closed early that day for some reason. Hopefully not for bad reasons. Good thing I had gone there for Tutti Fruitti and I had a stop to make in Kohls, so my trip was not wasted. We finally made it over there after dinner. I had the #10 that involved raspberries and bananas. Two of my favorite fruits. My husband had the #12 which involved boysenberries, blueberries, and bananas. I thought that it tasted pretty good. I'm not ready to say that they are better than all the other smoothie places out there yet, but since so many people say that they are and have been coming here for many years, I will have to stop in some more and try some of their many other flavors out. The day after I get my braces adjusted I usually get something easy to chew (I got a ham, swiss and egg sandwich from Starbucks for breakfast so that doesn't make any sense. It was painful to chew but it was good). I came here with my co-worker and she went to Subway and I went to Juice City. I got the Pineapple Melon (added Acai) smoothie and it was very good. It was light and refreshing. It didn't make me full but it reminded me of HI with the Pineapple sherbet and juice. The employees are very sweet and greeted me with a great smile and if you want to make up your own smoothie concoction, they will be more than happy to do that.
