So this place is good and it's worth it to grab up a quick lunch however compared to its competitors it comes in behind them a bit. The place looks clean and has a fair amount of seating. The staff was friendly enough and my order came out right away. They have a good amount of options and add ons as well. Be sure you are clear about your topping choices or they will just put what they think you wanted without clarifying. The açaí I got was good. The ratio of ice to a açaí is more ice than açaí which gives it a more watered down taste. Other places offer a better mix ratio. Overall it was good and refreshing. My daughter always gets the exact same thing: plain strawberries with honey and an apple juice. Today my wife went in to get her a large bowl of strawberries and a large apple juice. The girl behind the bar immediately told her no ( the girl at the register was fine with it.) saying you can only get fruit in a small bowl. Great, we'll take a small bowl of strawberries. Then when my wife tried to get the apple juice, she was told she literally cannot buy just apple juice by itself and had to mix it with orange juice. Now see the picture of the small bowl of strawberries. To make it worse, it came out to $19.25 including a $2 tip, and the small bowl was barely a fifth of the way full. Nobody even warned my wife the portion would be that tiny. Paying basically twenty dollars for a few bites of fruit and a juice we didn't even want is ridiculous. I worked in customer service before and know how to speak yo people with kindness and understanding. I love the shop, but not the selections. The shop is super cute with earthy tones and fruit abound! I wish the bowls were customizing friendly. They do have that option to customize how you want but the way the menu is set up it draws your eyes to the premade bowls and then finally you see the cyo bowl on the end, but you can't see the ingredients themselves. (Like laid out in front of you to be selected in real time). I prefer to build as I go, because I want to see how the berries look today , if everything looks fresh and clean etc but you can't . Boo. I went with the gigantic premade bowl Happy Valentine and just everything is too sweet. The pitaya was way too sweet. The coconut was sweetened (like why?) the granola - sweet. My favorite acai place nearby! We've been coming here for years and it never disappoints especially on a hot day like the ones we've been having. My personal favorite is the green lover which is a blend of banana, mango, pineapple, spinach. I'm not sure if it's actually healthier than others, but the green color tricks me into thinking it is! The bowl is rather simple, so I opted to add in peanut butter; but man the portions here (for the price) is definitely worth it. And the ingredients are very fresh too! I debated the number of stars I'd give this review thinking that the bowl is good, if not great. But sometimes I'm looking for more complexity and variety of ingredients (specifically more toppings) like other modern acai bowl spots. For that alone I would give it a 4, but thinking about the value you get with the large portion bowls, Natura Bowls definitely deserves the 5. They let us take our time to order and answered any questions we had. My only question is about subbing toppings and they allowed me to sub one without an additional charge. I subbed the kiwi for raspberry! The toppings and the fruit on the bowl were really tasty. The fruits were perfectly sweet and ripe rather than unripe and sour. However, the bowl was 80% base and 20% topping. It felt very unbalanced because towards the end, I felt like I was just spooning smoothie into my mouth rather than eating a bowl because the toppings were so little compared to the amount of base. If I were to make a suggestion, it'd be to have a more balanced bowl! read more
