HOLY OH MY UNREAL FOOD!!! This place deserves 6 stars for food quality. The BEST BEST chilaquiles I…read morehave had...by about 12 miles. The bulgogi Benedict was also insanely delicious. The pancakes and waffles are art pieces that taste just as good as they look. The egg yolk coffee is a must order...everything looks as good as it tastes. I canNOT say enough about the food quality...absolutely blown away. The bad...the place is small so the wait I am guessing on busy days can be daunting. On a Tuesday we waited about 20 minutes. The last thing, while the service was good, our server seemed annoyed. The food is so good that the waitress could have cursed us out and we would have come back...

First,…read moremy friend and I walked in and stood up at the front for about a minute and nobody acknowledged us despite multiple employees seeing us walk in. We ended up sitting ourselves down and about 15 minutes passed and still no acknowledgment. Nobody came to take our order until my friend politely informed the staff. One of the waitresses finally took our order and I asked her how many shots of espresso were in an iced latte. She was a younger employee and she gave me an extremely passive aggressive/dirty look when I asked her that and said rudely "We only serve cold brew." My bad for assuming a coffee place that advertised that they sold iced lattes sold iced lattes! Perhaps maybe the restaurant should clarify that in their menus that they don't sell iced coffee lattes but that their coffee based drinks are actually cold brew! We didn't end up tipping because the service was shitty and sadly enough I'm not surprised multiple reviews have been left regarding the staff having shitty customer service skills. To that specific waitress, it's not hard to be kind. Maybe don't give people dirty looks when they ask you a question about the menu and you'd be tipped generously. Also maybe don't cuss on the job either? We heard the same waitress cussing to a friend as we were walking out.

You will NOT be disappointed with Brunch Cafe! From the food to the friendly and fast service,…read moreeverything is just wonderful. We discovered this little corner place tucked away on Miraloma off of Kramer after a doctor appointment at Kaiser down the street because of the great reviews. Now we travel to this breakfast/brunch place from anywhere just to get the GREAT FOOD and friendly smiles! it always has people coming and going, to sit down or take out, so you can tell it is very popular. The seating is a bit limited, but we have never had to wait. Today, I had the three egg vegetable omelet (so lots to take home!), just packed with tomatoes, spinach and peppers, huge pieces of wheat toast and lots of berries and oranges. I also got a strawberry Belgian Waffle covered in fruit (it comes with cheese but I didn't like that). My husband got eggs and hash browns with sausage, which he devoured. Our entire meal was $50-something which I think was great considering I added on the waffle meal, so 3 total. Just delicious! I always thank the cooks. They deserve it! And they give you a huge cup of coffee (me) that is refilled and have many kinds of tea (him), and we always get the fresh squeezed OJ. I hope you try them out!

The service was incredible! Sienna helped me and my brother with our orders and I was totally vibing with her! She was filled with enthusiasm and charisma and I definitely reciprocated that!! They have an outdoor type service and you can seat yourself and they would bring your food out. Chicken & Waffle - 5/5 incredibly crunchy and moist!!! The syrup is their brand and was not at all as sweet as I thought, which was perfect for me! Lavender coffee - 5/5 loved the fact that you taste the lavender and it wasn't overpowered by sugar. Definitely going to come back!

I believe this was the original Bruxie's, opened in 2010, now a chain of several restaurants. Did you know that in 2011 Bruxie's was the second most popular restaurant on Yelp? Cool beans! The menu has changed quite a bit since my prior visits several years ago. Fried chicken and waffle sandwiches are still available but without the numerous variations once present. Instead, more standard burgers and chicken sandwich fare seems to have taken over. My suggestion, stick to the original! My wife and I each upgraded to the Super Cluck. The waffle sandwich was as delicious as I remember, and more than enough for a meal. I think of this restaurant as a food truck on a foundation. We order outdoors and eat outdoors. But that's fine, because - Southern California. A great little corner to people watch. Fun place! Recommended, especially for those who wish to take a break from the nearby manic Mouse mayhem.

The server also brought the sauce caddy to our table. Lots of seats inside that's shared with other restaurants there. It was quite empty. Love the aesthetics. Seating outside too. Was a bit hard to find at first, but just had to turn the corner. Also tried their iced horchata coffee. It was ok. Has a slightly thicker consistency than the other horchatas I've tried. Not a lot of cinnamon taste, can taste more of the rice. Not too sweet. Not something I would try again, but I love their food!

I paid $17.54 for a biscuit with egg, cheese, turkey sausage, and a black iced coffee. The biscuit was decent, but fairly small, and nothing about the sandwich felt premium enough to justify the price. The turkey sausage tasted like a standard pre-made sausage, and if there was a significant upcharge for choosing turkey, it didn't feel warranted. The coffee was fine. It was a basic black iced coffee, good enough, but not something that stood out or justified a premium price. My biggest issue is the value. Nearly $18 for a simple breakfast sandwich and a plain black iced coffee feels excessive for what was served. I've also noticed that the total seems to vary from visit to visit, making it difficult to know what to expect when ordering. I genuinely like the people who work here and wish them success. This review isn't about the staff. For me, it's simply a matter of price versus value, and I can no longer justify spending this much for a basic breakfast and coffee. Biscuit: 7/10 Coffee: 7/10 Overall value: 3/10
