That glowing review changed quickly. Today I was first in line at 2:00 p.m., with five people working behind the counter. I ordered a small Strawberry Wave and a PB & Strawberry Toast. The greeting was non-existent, so I left no tip. Fifteen minutes later--still no order. Several customers who came in after me (including one who ordered a medium Strawberry Wave) received their food and left. I asked for a refund. They said they needed to call the manager, who wasn't in the store. I was told it would take five minutes. Five minutes later, they said I could leave and the refund would process--no receipt, no documentation. That wasn't acceptable. I asked for proof of the refund. I was told, "We can't do that." They called the manager again and handed me the phone. I declined--I didn't need a conversation, just my refund. Six minutes later, they needed my cell number to text me a receipt. The flavor of the açaí bowl was good but was disappointed about the consistency of it and was lacking the thickness of what makes an açaí bowl an açaí bowl. That's right; you're peanut butter 'The Zone' lacks all texture and consistency. Service is friendly, quick and all the staff appear to execute their duties appropriately. I never have to wait an unreasonable time or receive the incorrect item so I appreciate that.
