It is a truly beautiful sunny day on the UES today and I figured I'd treat myself to a morning walk and a treat, and treated I was. I stopped by juice press to grab a chocolate smoothie ($12) and my god this was delectable. It surely is expensive, but it's the perfect healthy treat. The chocolate smoothie is quite rich, with chocolate chips, cacao, plant protein, pumpkin butter, hemp seeds, cinnamon, banana and almond milk. It is really good. The flavor profile is something unique and you can taste notes of all of the ingredients. I went at 10:30 am and it was a bit busy, but lots of props to the one guy behind the counter who was working hard to get everyone taken care of. Great place with lots of healthy options. I love the smoothies at Juice Press, but depending on the day that you come... you never know what you're in for. I usually get the protein with cold brew, which doesn't typically take too long. However, this is a small location and there have been times that I've walked in with literally me and one other person in line and the people working here are talking to one another and not even taking orders or helping anyone out. They completely ignore the customer's... I've walked out of here too many times to go to their competition a few doors down, sadly. I used to just wait and get it at the Equinox's Juice Box, but since switched gyms. Management, If you're reading these... make a point to advise your staff at this location that the reason they're here is to help customers and to make sales. It's a shame that I walk out empty handed more than not because of bad customer service. read more

I have only been here twice (both times because the Juice Generation next door had a long line and Juice Press had no line). Despite being the only customer, they got my order completely wrong *both* times. There is a reason the line at Juice Generation is *always* longer. Great location! Fully stocked with many juices/food. We came in after Yoga looking for some sweet smoothies, I ordered the Henry headbanger (something like that), basically something with the least calories and coffee! It was great actually, completely 5 stars. I would definitely order this again if I went. Very energizing and really delicious. My friend got the cauliflower sushi and I tried one, was really good! And tasted like it was made that day. The service was fast and really friendly, didn't mind when I asked if the smoothies were "really $15???"...which brings me to why there's 4 not 5 stars...come on people... $15 for a smoothie? I love juice press but this is a very good one I have to say. It's tiny and the service is very fast. The person that helped me actually turned out to be the manager (her name is Sam) and she was exceptional and really showed me what customer service could and should be. I got the matcha latte and it was the best thing everrr. I have had them at other juice press locations but this was the best one to date! She made sure to let me try it to make sure I liked it. Worst experience at a juice spot. Id wanted to try something other than juice generation and this was the only spot open past 9 pm which was when i was craving smoothies. SERVICE was bad - lady behind the counter gave me really weird attitude. Acted like my business dont matter. Not friendly AT ALL. Look out Fresh & Co. and Le Pain Quotidien - looks like Juice Press is slowly creeping up on becoming the most densely populated local chain in New York City. As the cold pressed juice game becomes more and more competitive, Juice Press have done their part to ensure you can't walk more than a few blocks anywhere in Manhattan without seeing one. And if you've been to any Juice Press location, you've been to them all. Rows of tasty juices and pre-packaged foodstuffs (the raw oatmeal is especially delightful), cleanse packages that you can pick up for the 3 or 5 day programs, and the same silly, entertaining propaganda at the entrance that you need to read for a good laugh. I sometimes think Dr. Bronner's had some kind of inspiration for JP's comical health food rants. Perhaps Juice Press will take the Shake Shack route and be the next NYC born food chain to IPO? I ordered delivery from this store. I ordered the almond butter acai bowl and paid to add greens and strawberry's on top. These items were not added. Also, there was so much granola and cacao nib mixture in the bowl it was over powering, and one of them appeared to have a sugar like substance on it. The taste was weird. I came here because I love Acai bowls and I am on a mission to find the best bowl in the city. The interior was cute, small and kind of hot - not much ventilation. I ordered a bowl and you had the choice of 3 toppings. I picked the coconut and these dried berries. They had the option of almond butter but no peanut butter which is kind of a must for me. So no PB is a huge downfall in my book. I ended up adding it when I got home. I thought the bowl was a decent size but I've had bigger for the same cost. There is a emotional connection every time I enter a Juice Press. I feel as if my health and presence always matter. I love this Juice Press! I frequently stop in after the gym while they're closing up and they've never rushed me or made me feel bad for coming in 20min before they close. In fact, I went in last night as they were closing and really didn't want to get the smoothie I always get, so I asked them for some advice and everyone in there was wonderful. They gave me their honest opinions and recommendations, were super patient with me, and in the end made me a killer smoothie. At first it was hard to justify going here because juice generation is right next door and a little bit less expensive, but every time I've gone to this Juice Press the experience has been lovely. I've even noticed that sometimes if I'm standing further away from the counter, the person making my smoothie comes out to give it to me. Those little things add up. I'm a big fan! read more
