Many compare it to In-N-Out (INO), but INO is in a league of their own. The fries here resemble INO, but their burger is juicier and thicker. Overall a good burger and great fries. Cheeseburger combo will cost you $7 and change. The service and decor are nice. Pretty busy around lunch time. Best thing about this place is that it's connected to a Dreyer's which is owned by the same person. My advice is if you're in the mood for INO, don't come here, but if you're not, don't eat too much and head over to Dreyer's for a little something. It's a solid 3.5 stars. First time here... Ordered the Veggie burger combo and I was very impressed. First of all, It was indeed the juiciest veggie burger I've had!!! It was made with black beans, corn, a hint of spice and who knows what else but it was so tasty! My meat eating husband liked it, too. The fries were real crispy and tasty. I ordered a side of onion rings and we really liked them because they were not the typical rings we are used to. The outer crust was smooth and not greasy. Okay, so we went here today. The 2 girls working couldn't care less about us as we walked in. Another customer came in complaining that all 4 of her burgers were wrong (which should have been a red flag). We ordered 2 burgers, kids chicken strips and a plain hot dog. Our hot dog was very over cooked and rubbery and I ended up getting our money back for our kids chicken strips since it was so rubbery I couldn't cut it with a plastic knife. When I took it up to the front, the cashier couldn't care less, and gave me the wrong amount of cash back. My refund was $6.42 and she handed me $6.30. $0.12 isn't a big deal but after the shitty service that made me mad. I had bought one of those daily deal things the day before so I wasn't surprised that the little place was packed. I found out later that it's like that all the time. And no wonder. When I was a kid my folks owned a drive-in. I really appreciate the system they have behind the counter. I had my burger with a few of the options including fried egg. Made my companions and me think of Fudruckers with not as many choices. Really good meat and fresh ingredients. Tasty. Defiantly more than your standard burger joint. I know I'll be back just to try a few other combinations with my patty and bun. In a different town this wouldn't be worth mentioning but the parking sucks. My boys love this place. We have been here a few times on our way home. They are growing boys and have out grown McDonald's. The burgers are big and fresh. They do not taste frozen at all. The fries are also very good. They can get busy and it can take a bit to get your food. I prefer using the website and within 15 minutes the food is ready to be picked up. The prices are spot on for a real delicious burger that will fill you up. The service is quick and they are all very polite. We will continue to come here for real burgers. I just wish they had a drive through for quicker and easier picking up. The parking lot is tiny with small spots. It's hard for me to get my huge truck into a spot close by. read more

I'm rating this one star because of the take out experience. If you are going to eat there you won't have this issue and it would be 4/5 stars easy. They used styrafoam containers to package my to go orders. Because the food was good the styrofoam melted together. I didnt eat my meal because I didnt think it would be a good idea to eat food that's been in a closed bag with the fumes from the styrafom. I love his place. The burgers are delicious, and they give you a ton of whatever side you order. They have a fully customizable section so you can be as picky as you'd like. They changed management somewhere along the way and what once was an excellent hamburger dining experience is now just...whatever. Neat little place on our way back from going white water rafting. Its similar to "the counter" with an in n out kinda vibe. When we were there the crowd was def older. Burgers were good, nothing spectacular, but the chili cheese fries were excellent. Def give them a try. This is my FAVORITE restaurant in Bakersfield. I usually eat my lunch there or ordered for a pick Up. The food is delicious and fresh. The prices are reasonable! And the stuff are friendly and helpful . Today I ordered for a pick up and when I arrived there I noticed that I forgot my wallet, so I told them to cancel the order but they didn't cancel it. The 2 females who work here are really rude, they have no concept of customer service. I've only frequented this place because it's conveniently located and everything is closed right now. I'm giving 2 stars because the food itself is usually fine but every time that I've ordered here, even prior to COVID, they're so slow about orders. On top of the workers attitudes, I placed an online order for pick up and when I arrived to pick up, the cashier in the front said they hadn't even started it yet. No apology no explanation. They weren't slammed and the cooks were only working on 1 previous order. When I arrived she was just barely taking a look at the order even though it had arrived in their system at least 5 minutes prior. 3 workers in the kitchen and not one thought to put the order in. From now on, I recommend taking your business to Habit Burger instead. There's just no sense of urgency at this establishment. read more

I have only ever tried the outlets at tejon location, so this is completely different in a great way. The staff here was immediately friendly and way better than the other location! I was coming in to try the Wednesday night special I have seen advertised all over social media. It's been awhile since I've been in so the cashier was helpful in making my final selections for my burger. Then I grabbed my cup and realized they have a Pepsi AND a Coca Cola machine. That is pretty unique! I liked the decor/vibes for a little burger spot. It wasn't too busy. My food was good and the Wednesday special is a great value! On the way out, I noticed there is a hand sanitizer station on the wall. The little things really count when you're considering your customer and the random conveniences we love, like the ability to take ketchup in packets or a wide mouth cup with a lid. Now that they opened another one out on the other side of town, I've been going there, too on my way home If you like burgers try it. If you don't like french fries and burgers, well there is still something for you, but I would probably say you aren't going to understand the big deal about this place. I ordered takeout through UberEats and I ordered fries and chicken strips which the chicken is burnt and nasty. I also ordered my son a Chili Cheese Hot Dog and I asked for chili and cheese on the side. That picture is the "chili" I got for my sons hot dog... it does not include beans or meat. Very good experience. Was busy when I visited-but nevertheless Juicy Burger pulled through. As mentioned before, you order your burger and add everything the way you like it. It is a personalized ordering system. We waited approx. 10 mins and our burgers arrived. Everything was delicious, from the thick juicy beef patty, to the fresh and crunchy lettuce and tomato, all the way to the freshly prepared bun. 50's vibe, modern issues. This place has really gone downhill from 5 years ago. Got a single burger combo, and was informed that the soda machines were down. At the start of dinner rush. They have 2 soda machines, so I think it is unacceptable to have both down at once for matiainance. Also, seriously understaffed. 3 people working there, one employee was talking orders and getting the machines back up, and was clearly overwhelmed. Food is not as good as when it opened. Very good local burger joint! The menu is short and to the point, not many choices but that's works at this place. I had the burger and onion rings which were both super tasty and not greasy. I really like that it's downtown which is convenient for us eastsiders. My only complaint is it's kinda pricey but still a nice treat nonetheless. Oh and beware of lines on the weekend around lunch time, the place gets packed. I probably waited for about 10 minutes in line then another 15 for food, but it was worth it :) read more
