Quiche Lorraine - taken to go since it was massive but ate half in store

Good blueberry cream cheese danish. Suuuuper tiny and packed space. Friendly staff, cool window where you can see the baking magic. Quiche Lorraine - taken to go since it was massive but ate half in store. Pretty good but cold in the middle.

If you love fresh baked goods, you have to make a stop to check out this cafe here on Mount Pleasant! There's always a lineup to go in, but once you're in, there's a nice display case of cakes. Due to covid, their seating section is fenced out and is not available for patrons, but from a distance, you will see trays and trays of freshly baked goods sitting in that area! I picked up a few treats and had the almond croissant myself. I loved how it wasn't overly sweet! It's a nice weekend treat and I'm looking forward to try their other items!

    Variety of croissants and pastries

This is such a cute French bakery! The quality and variety of items they have is impressive. I tried a latte, almond croissant, chocolate croissant, and a variety of tarts. Everything was delicious and tasted amazing. I will definitely be back to try some of the bread and other pastries they have. Everything seemed reasonably priced. It's definitely not cheap, but a nice place to go and treat yourself! This place is probably also a local favourite. So expect lines, especially because they only allow a limited number of people inside at a time( covid restrictions). My only negative comment is that all of their pastries, tarts, bread, etc lack labels with description and price. So you are forced to constantly ask what everything is, and how much items cost.

One of best French bakery I've tried in Toronto! This reminds me of Montreal...yep homesick homesick. The store is lovely and you always will see huge line up even in COVID scenario. Everyone was nice to follow social distancing rule. Max 2 customers are allowed in the store at the same time. Butter croissant and almond croissant are sooooo delicious, almost perfect in my standard. Try it if this is in your neighborhoods

    Broccoli and cheddar quiche

Nice little café with beautiful pastries, if I'm to go by the other photos posted. However, there weren't many options in the display case the two times I visited. I suppose I better get there earlier in the day. I tried the mille-feuille on my first visit - it was a generous portion but not as delicate as I was expecting. In fact, the layers seemed almost soggy when I put my fork in. Flavours were ok but the pastry cream was a bit thick and heavy. Today I tried a croissant and a slice of broccoli & cheddar quiche. The croissant was very buttery and flaky - very nice - even better when warmed up. The quiche was very thin, but full of broccoli - although not much cheddar - I think it's only sprinkled on top. However, it was lovely and creamy. I just wish it was thicker, so as to feel more substantial. Kind of pricey in my opinion, $2.45 for a croissant and $5.95 for a slice of quiche. I don't recall exactly what I paid for the mille-feuille but I remember being surprised at the price. And not in a good way. I'd like to try their lemon tarts if they still have them, though, because in the photos they look amazing and lemon tarts are my favourite.

Small cafe, usually get takeout. Recommend the chocolate twist bread - it's like a croissant but with chocolate in twist form.

My wife wanted to go there so we went on 2023-01-31 mid-morning when there would more selection…read more They definitely have quite a selection of pastries and savoury food. My wife always judges a French Cafe by their Butter Croissant ($3.00) and she liked it! She also noticed all the  staff speak French sp it gives it even more legitimacy.  She also ordered a Flat White ($4.50) which was also good. I ordered a Plum Almond Tart ($7.25) because it was the prettiest. It was super delicious so it was definitely a good choice! Service was courteous and friendly. You place your order at the counter and bring it to your table. Someone will come around to clear the dishes when you are done It is a great place to have a nice casual time eating and socializing. They make all their food in-house in the basement. There are products for sale such as coffee beans, fruit syrup, maple syrup, smoked sauces, olive oil, scented soap, wine glassware, etc. I will definitely come back again to try other items. There is free WiFi. The neo-bisto is not wheelchair accessible since there are stairs leading up to the entrance. There are two gender-neutral washrooms. There is free street parking on their one-way south-bound street. Review 2023-017

Amazing place! I…read morecalled ahead to find out if they had this plum tart I purchased the first time I was there. Yet no one answered the phone. No problem. Hopped on my bike and a half hour later I was there. The friendly staff helped me by answering my question regarding eggs and which items did not have any in the recipes. This place was also super poppin' when I got there. It was earlish in the day around 10:30am and it seemed all the tables were pretty much taken. They are adding a dinner menu which is very exciting. Their pastries are phenomenal!!! Picked up a plum and pistachio tart, a chocolate mousse cake and an apple Danish for my mom. Plus a chocolate caramelized croissant. So much butter, and yet so good. Brought my container, which they happily used. The last time I visited this spot back in 2022, I vowed I would come back and take up space in that beautiful bay window seat. Yet I haven't followed through with that yet. One day. They also changed the name, since I was there last it was called Le Conciliabule Lab. Le Conciliabule means, "speak easy", as their website says. It was used back in the day to describe a place where people would come together and talk about everything and nothing. I can definitely say that happens here. What a beautiful concept, "everything and nothing". Now named Bisou, which means kiss. That's actually really simple and sweet. Since every pastry and any food item or beverage enjoyed here is a kiss for your tastebuds. Love it. Keep going team. You are amazing!
