I was very surprised to find such a cool spot downtown! Julia and Henry's is another entry in what seems to be the newly popular dining hall concept and for my money, it's the best iteration I've seen yet. You enter into a massive multistory atrium with a large central bar spanning the entire height of the building. All throughout the hall are a variety of different food vendors serving every kind of cuisine you could want. I've tried out a few and enjoyed them all. There are also several different bars, including a Boxelder location for my fellow beer aficionados. You get an update when your food is ready to your phone, so you can feel free to find a seat and relax while you wait. We went for an adventure down to Miami. Just the drive is an experience. The parking is also a bit of mission, but it was such a cool night that I enjoyed the walk from the parking lot to the location. I was pretty excited to eat here because I just seeing it coming up on my social medica. When I walked in I expected it bigger I don't how to explain like wider. The space is very narrow. We went to go eat at like 8:30p on a Sunday so it was empty, but I don't want to be there for lunch I don't think you will be able to move around. There were a couple of food vendors had run out of food well had run out of what we wanted to order. I did find it very expensive. I paid $26 ($30 with tip) for an expresso martini. Thank goodness it was really delicious and the bartender was so nice. The food we ordered was also really good. The hamburger and sweet potato waffle fries were really good. We got two orders of those. We had a nice time, but I am not in a rush to return. read more

Julia & Henry's is exactly the fresh breath that Downtown Miami desperately needed. I have been around so long, I remember La Epoca and Sports Authority being in this location (gulp). If you work in the area, you're bound to run into people you know because it is the place to be. This establishment has three levels of various restaurants. You order from your table and go pick it up. Yes, it can be pricey but based on the area, it's on point. One of my favorite places within J&H is Mensch. I absolutely live for their Mediterranean menu. If you leave room after meals, they have plenty of options in the way of desserts including Oh My Gosh Brigadeiros, L'Artisane Bakery, and Puffles. First time I was here was for lunch when it opened 2023. I went back today 8/13/25. Things have definitely changed. The 3rd floor is a flea market. The hall was 3/4 empty. I don't think it will survive. Down town Miami is a disgrace. More feces than actual people. Progress has been slowed, affecting this once vibrant hall. Good luck. Btw had a dessert at Yann Couvreur. After walking through all three floors twice, and a recommendation from a fellow diner savoring a waffle - I went for the pumpkin waffle with pumpkin ice cream. They were out of candy corn so I chose the coffee drizzle and now I remember I had asked for Graham crackers instead of caramel but think they might have forgotten to add those. Gotta say , didn't love my choice : ( I don't usually like to make changes to original dishes because they should be served as they were originally created. BUT I paid $15 bucks for a soggy waffle and a tasteless pumpkin ice cream. I had half and threw it out deciding it wasn't worth the calories. Came by for lunch recently and tried out the burger and sushi spot. The hand rolls were good but the burger was just phenomenal. Prices are extremely high, I would not recommend anyone coming here unless if it's for a lunch special or happy hour sort of deal. Even the lunch special was $15-$16 for one burger that doesn't fill you up. Miami pricing is out of control. This fancy food court popularity seems to stem from Downtowns desire for unique dining experiences rather than the quality of the food. While I've enjoyed a few meals there with my wife, nothing has been particularly memorable, yet it's always crowded. Parking is difficult and expensive Also, despite the numerous restaurants, there are limited interesting options. The Asian and Italian dishes were just okay, but for the price, I prefer a full-service experience. Food courts are ideal for groups unable to decide on a restaurant. However, they are costly for casual dining and too informal for fine dining. I believe the concept needs further development before becoming a reliable dinner choice for us locals. read more

After a long awaited construction period in this historic downtown Miami building, Julia and Henry has finally opened its doors. There are four floors of a mix of restaurants, bars, and dessert places. This is a one stop shop for great dining for all. Though there are all those floors, you can just order and pay from the comfort of your table by scanning the QR code and have your food delivered straight to you. The first floor bar, LA Epoca (named after the previous tenants of the building, LA Epoca Clothing Store) has happy hour from Monday through Friday from 4PM to 7PM. Make sure to ask to see the Happy Hour menu as I was not offered it and found out after. Julia and Henry also plays sports events like the Inter Miami FC, on a giant rolldown screen that can be watched from every floor. They also have live music starting at 8pm on Fridays, and at 1pm on Sundays. Beware, this is a hot and popular spot in Miami so expect the weekends to be really jammed packed with patrons. A Miami gem! 26 vendors all in one place. The layout consists of 3 floors packed with different restaurants, bars and spots to get your sweet tooth fix. Keep in mind there is an overwhelming amount of options to choose from. Each floor is made of glass where you can see the floor beneath you. An innovative concept. They played a blend of American and Latin music. We ordered a variety of different food items. Michy's Chicken Shack Hot chicken sandwich was by far my fave. Well we checked out Julia and Henry's, located in Downtown Miami, on a Saturday night this week with some of our family and had a really good time. This has to be the best upscale food hall establishment I have ever been to in South Florida. Reminded me quite a bit of some food halls I have been to in Europe but much more upscale. Truthfully there is a little for everyone here from choice cuts of steak, to all other cuisines Italian, Latin, Oriental and other wise. Need a drink you say, well no issues there either as there is full bar service and a craft beer bar on the second floor of that is more your thing. I have to say that we walked all three floors and there is plenty of food options to choose from although we did see the line backing up at the Korean Pole bowl spot on the 2nd floor. On this visit we opted to get some food from OSSO the steak house in the 1st floor and the Korean Poke Bowl spot on the 2nd floor. All the food was excellent but I have to say having to walk around to pickup your food was a bit of a pain, especially if you order at multiple locations. Best to pick two that are in proximity to make things easier. Plenty of places to sit and I have to say that all the staff walking around providing both bar and bus service for the eating areas were very, very nice and helpful. After dinner we hit a few of the pastry places on the 1st floor which were great and had some coffee to boot. Overall, this was a very good experience and overall costs were great as well but I have to say that I found OSSO to be quite expensive taking in to account the food portion. For $32 dollars they should have provided a larger strip steak but it was very well cooked and the confit potatoes were great as well. Poke bowls were had were excellent and nothing but good things to say on that front as well. Seems like people have been complaining about the music and rhetoric local DU but to be honest we found the music to not be loud at all and it was actually pretty cool. DJ was gonna little 80s and 90s retro which was cool. Overall a great experience and would visit again if I am in the area. I recommend walking around to each booth + eyeballing the food, taking a note of the menu & then sitting down to order. I ordered the ceviche, which i later realized there were 3 different type to choose from but the app didn't list the differences. Either way I was satisfied but lesson learned. I have to come back to try June , the wagyu burger was calling me but I was absolutely stuffed after sushi and a piece of chocolate cake. I def recommend. Neat food hall - a bit on the expensive side but that may be on par with this part of Miami. There are three floors of local vendors, as well as bars selling beer, wine, and liquor/cocktails. I can't give a rating for the food or service itself but there were A LOT of options of different types of food. If you've ever been to Time Out Market, it's very similar to that concept. The atmosphere is very mixed - meaning there were groups of families, professionals grabbing a drink after work, and everyone in between. It is a really cool place to check out. The one downside was it is NOT very stroller/ADA friendly. The aisles are pretty narrow, and it was a squeeze on several occasions. There is an elevator located at the back (behind the wine bar), which is pretty small and can fit approximately 5-6 people comfortably. I'd probably go back and just take food to go. It was too much of a hassle to bring the stroller around and to find a place we could eat with this. read more

Atmosphere is pleasant and clean and there's 3 full floors of options but there was nothing I tried that wowed me. We ordered our food via QR codes at tables and thought it was strange it was taking so long for a sandwich and flatbread. When we received the text it was ready, when we went to pick it up it was already significantly cold which leads me to believe there could be a delay with their system or maybe it was just that particular vendor. All in all, think there's better options for eateries of this style elsewhere in the city. Parking is also a bit of nightmare as it's located directly in the middle of downtown, so you either pay a garage or pray you find decent street parking. We didn't drink at all so can't attest for that but I think having that as part of the QR options would be a good idea, as well as servers to bring orders to your table. read more

Located in one of the most historic buildings of Downtown Miami is this bustling food hall which has easily become a favorite in the neighborhood for its plethora of options. Showcasing a range of cuisines, desserts, and cocktails is certainly their forte. It's a great addition to the already bustling downtown crowd as it's centrally located and suitable for groups, solo diners, and even the family. The open foyer really amplifies the visibility which is key in decision making. With all those options, sometimes it's helpful to take a stroll around before deciding on where to start. I do encourage smaller plates from more establishments to be shared so you can get to sample more dishes and get to know each restaurant from a more detailed perspective. They're open late and offer dishes from all price categories so it's easy to stay in budget when needed. Parking isn't simple in this neighborhood so ride-sharing is encouraged. Every so often, I get lucky with parking around here but it's not typical so expect to walk a bit when driving (especially during busier hours.) I do wish they had an easier way to order from one platform with items from multiple vendors but I can understand why that would be hard to implement. It's solid. read more

Depending on the day, there may be a wait outside, so be prepared to wait around 15-20 minutes to get inside. During my visits here, I had the pleasure of exploring a diverse array of cuisines, including Mexican, Asian, Italian, European, and Mediterranean options. Asian cuisine particularly stands out with a wide selection. I was able to try the crispy fried chicken, tacos, Peruvian Asian stir-fry, and burger. While some of the food was enjoyable, I must note that it leans towards the pricier side given the portion size and taste. However, I do recommend trying the Brigaderio at OMG Brigaderio. This place was nothing but delicious. I was a little overwhelmed with the amount of people considering it was a Thursday but that obviously means business is good. I had some Asian cuisine on the third floor and it was all 10/10! They have a papaya salad at one of the vendors that's probably the best papaya salad I've ever had. For dessert I also had to get the ice cream in a waffle that they make in front of you. Usually the waffles smell better than they taste but this one tastes so good! It's light and airy and the perfect dessert to share between two people. The one concerning thing I have to say is that the second floor is made of glass and there's tables and people eating on it. One of my friends was eating there and the whole piece cracked beneath her. I hope that can be fixed quickly. read more

A quick note on parking before we begin the review. The entire Flagler Street corridor is currently under construction so don't count on finding any street parking on the weekend. The best we could do was a $10 all day garage a couple of blocks away. Miami's newest food hall is located in the historic art deco, depression era 1936 Walgreens building on Flagler Street in downtown Miami. Charles. R. Walgreen loved ships so the building was designed to resemble a cruise ship both outside and inside with deck like floors. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places. In later years the building served as the longtime home of local retailer La Epoca until 2016. The five story food hall is run by Miami-based King Goose Hospitality and it is named after mother of Miami, Julia Tuttle and the man who brought the railroad to Florida, Henry Flagler. During my visit I explored the ground level, mezzanine, and balcony. Julia and Henry's was designed to showcase one of the nation's largest concentrations of award-winning chefs under a single roof. The 26 different culinary choices have been crafted by James Beard award-winning chefs and chef's recognized by the World's 50 Best Rankings. Some of the most buzz worthy stalls in Julia Henry's are Michy's Chicken Shack by local celebrity chef Michelle Bernstein serving fried chicken, June by José Mendín serving gourmet burgers with international flavors, Yann Couvreur Bakery serving pastries from one of France's top ten pastry chefs, Cicchetti by Maurizio Eremita serving authentic Venetian-style small plates, and O.M.G. Brigadeiros: A Brazilian chocolate shop serving bon bons. As for drinks, on the first floor at the base of the three story wine tower is La Época, a natural wine bar with a menu by renowned sommelier Karina Iglesias of Niu Kitchen. The Alonso family owned the building until 2018. The bar is named for La Época, the retail store owned by the Alonso family that was once the third largest department store in Havana until the government confiscated. Although I didn't make it to the basement it apparently houses Jolene, a retro-themed, sound room by Bar Lab with music and cocktails. Julia and Henry's is currently Miami's favorite Instagram spot thanks to its swoon worthy food and a surprise around every corner like a vending machine filled with Key lime pies, a wrap around second floor balcony, and see through second floor. The second floor bathroom was especially amusing. The bathroom stalls were outfitted with port a potty doors and you used the baroque fountain to wash your hands. There is even a kids room where they can take a break from the sensory overload. Although I loved how beautifully the historic building was restored it was hot, especially anything above the ground floor not to mention crowded. By the time we left the line to get in was wrapping around the block. Another thing to keep in mind is that the food is also very expensive. My friend and I were able to try more places by getting small bites and sharing plates. Once you get your food you have to search for a place to sit which is not always the easiest. My favorite spot ended up being the large communal table on the first floor with the plush seats. Despite a few drawbacks this is still the greatest food hall I have ever been in. The chefs they selected are all next level. I will definitely be back to explore more of the stalls but maybe when the newness wears off a bit. read more

Big fan of food halls, especially when there's a surplus of seating and very minimal wait time. This one definitely checks the list for a great foodie stop. A group of 6 of us arrived exactly during lunch time on a seemingly busy Saturday but found seats right away. As far as the quality of food, I was particularly blown away by the Okinawa chicken from Palmar Asian Street Food (3rd floor. Near the bathroom corner) It's as good as it looks. My heart was set on a Poke bowl until I walked past someone else's order and my mouth immediately watered. Well worth the change of mind as this was the most tender and juicy chicken, with just enough sweet and spice . It's on a bed of veggies and while I initially craved rice with it, I began to understand the beauty of this dish. Though the thick sauce feels a bit heavy, the veggies do a great job of making you feel like you're not drinking molasses. A bed of rice wouldn't do as great of a job as the veggies of making the dish more easy on the stomach. Bloating after a wonderful meal is no fun. I highly recommend! I finally made time to visit this newly opened food hall and I get why some people complain about the prices but c'mon, this is not a shopping mall food court. This is a nicer "fancier" food hall like Citadel or Timeout in a better location and amazing atmosphere so of course you're gonna pay a little more considering that undoubtedly the rent for the vendors must be exorbitant but that's pretty normal for this area. I felt a bit overwhelmed with the variety and options but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Keep in mind it is three floors of food vendors and something for everyone's craving for the most part.The food vendors offer a limited menu and it's all made in front of you which is something I appreciate a lot. Yes you're paying a few more bucks but if that's a problem for you then I'd suggest to stay home and cook or go to a fast food place and I'm unapologetic about my opinion. Both vendors I tried were excellent and portions were adequate for the price as well as the flavors and quality of food. The service was good and food came out super fast. Only complain I'd have if I didn't work nearby and take the train like I did, is the lack of parking especially if you don't know the area. Some helpful pointers: - Take time to browse and see what you like there's over 25 vendors! Some food prepping areas are open, so you can see how it looks while just in passing. - MetroMover station is a quick 5 min walk. (We visited some friends in the Brickell area and just commuted that way.) Peep their instagram highlights for nearby parking suggestions before coming. - Once food decisions have been made, I recommend to quickly find seating for your party. That'll be the most challenging part. - There's QR codes available on the tables for mobile ordering to avoid standing around bc the spaces are narrow in front of the vendors. It's pretty user friendly and gives real time updates when food is ready to be picked up. No, there's no delivery option. YABAI, a quick servicing hand roll stand (4/10 - rolls were underwhelming and not worth a $8-12 price range). PAPA, sells fancy French fries (8/10 - good quality and flavor). Lunched at this newly converted eating hall within the first week of opening. It was packed! The building on the outside wasn't fancy, but inside was completely transformed. My hubs and I walked all three floors before determining what to eat. I was interested in burgers on the second floor, but there was a long line. Therefore, we settled on the third floor where we ordered ramen from Satsuma Shimuja. Note that the space isn't as huge as it seems in pictures and can be rather hard to move through during busy hours. The Kogoshima Special ramen was very good. Although the price was a little steep at $23, the noodles were chewy and had a good bite, almost dense. The broth was very rich and creamy, but a tad but salty. The pork had good flavor but might not be tender enough for those who like their pork to melt in their mouth. I really enjoyed the toppings, though. Given everything, I would come back and order again. My husband ordered the spicy version and thought it was a flavorful spicy. For dessert, I tried fookems key lime pie with sea salt graham cracker crust from the vending machine over baklava (next time). It was pleasantly surprised by the creaminess of the key lime pie. It was slightly tart but well balanced with sweetness. I wish the crust was a bit less crumbly, though. I also enjoyed people watching here. Being on the top floor IMO is the best. It's not as entertaining as going to South Beach and people watching there, but it was nice to see people from many walks of life. The bathrooms were interesting, too. On the third floor, they used Porta potty door stalls as actual doors for the bathrooms! The biggest con is parking. It sucks for any downtown area but did manage to find covered parking not too far away for $10. Obviously, if you live within walking distance, it won't be an issue. Otherwise, I think this place is worth visiting again. It will be interesting to see how the traffic is after a few months. read more

Julia & Henry's is a three-story dining food hall featuring over 20 culinary restaurants. From pasta, to sushi to fried chicken there are a variety of options to choose from. I visited on the second day and waited about 5-10 minutes before entering. Despite it being slammed, we managed to find seats pretty quickly. I do have to mention that the price point leans towards the expensive side. This is probably one of the nicest food halls I've been to in S. Florida and I am excited to try these new spots. read more
