She worked through my issues with me quickly, and informed me Lindsay from the Camas location would be calling me to complete the refund. The next day I received a curt 52 second call from Lindsay. The entire conversation went as such: Me: Hello L: I'm calling you about a refund. I need your debit card numbers and expiry. Me: Okay [lists off the numbers]. Thank You. L: You're welcome--and slammed the phone down on me before finishing her words. She did not confirm my name, confirm my card details, tell me when I should approximately see it return to my account, say sorry it didn't work out or anything. I only hope she took my card details correctly at this point. I didn't even know who Lindsay was as the optics staff never told me their names, but now I realize it was likely Optics Staff 1. I wish I had been put on a call with someone else to deal with this refund. I'm baffled why the staff has been unprofessional throughout my experience. The stress they have caused is inappropriate especially for a doctors office. Thankfully the refund arrived after a few days, but I do not recommend this location.

Usually you go to appointments and it's expected to be very in and out, let's get this done, goodbye. In my visit today, it wasn't anything like that. Everyone was friendly from the get go, making casual conversation and making great recommendations. I'm currently trying on the most comfortable contacts in the world. They are extremely close to another eye clinic I had been to 3 years ago. I didn't recall that clinic's name but assumed if someone had my email and was located at an address on that road, it was the same clinic. I called and when asked about insurance said Aetna to which the person on the phone responded as if that were impossible for vision insurance. I have Aetna Vision Preferred (855-347-6899) in point of fact. I said it hadn't changed since my prior exam there so should be on file. Person responds that they are not seeing that info and that it says I would be a new patient. So then I realized it was not the same clinic. I said "Oh you are very close to the one I went to before and I thought they would be the only ones sending me an email. You're right. That was my confusion." Person then says *snidely* "Well we are going to need insurance information. You haven't been here before (snide slight laugh)." Yes we just established that in my statement from 2 seconds ago... "You are right. That was my confusion." I just decided to end the call at that given that now I was probably not going to convince this person my insurance was Aetna. At this point I realized what a blessing this call had been in clarifying this is not somewhere I would want to get care with that attitude toward customer service. Saved me a wasted trip.

Anyway, let's focus on the wonderful Evergreen Eye Care. Dr. Zamberlan and her staff are consummate professionals. I haven't had such a modern, comprehensive exam in a long time. The staff are so welcoming, from making my appointment to my first visit. Unlike a lot of medical offices, the waiting room is not crowded and Dr. Z. takes her time sharing her knowledge with her patients. I truly felt valued and am so happy to have found my "forever" eye care practice. Sandy was the assistant at my visit...so friendly and knowledgeable. Nicole helped me select 2 frames (which are very reasonably priced) plus new reading lenses and offered me their current discounts. They have such a nice selection and I've never chosen glasses so quickly! I cannot think of any suggestions to make other than to ask that you please continue to do what you are doing. Evergreen Eye Care is awesome. *Update: I referred my hub to EEC and asked him about his experience. He said, "I loved it!!" He went on to share how complete his exam was and all the great suggestions Dr. Z. offered. In this era of impersonal, conveyer-belt medicine, Evergreen is the antithesis. We are fans for life!

The waiting room features a hot and cold water dispenser, as well as a Keurig coffeemaker with a huge variety of flavors. Chairs are plush and comfortable. I was particularly impressed with the technology in the pre-exam area. There are four machines right in a row. The first is an interactive test for peripheral vision / size of field of view. The second is an automatic test to establish one's baseline eyeglasses prescription, featuring a barn at the end of street on a grassy field to look at as opposed to others I've experienced that have nothing or a blurry circle. The third is an "air puff" glaucoma tester, and the fourth is one that takes photos of one's eyes. The wait to see the eye doctor was very short, and Dr. Hu was extremely professional, polite, and helpful. She was the first eye doctor who was ever able to answer my questions about how to determine which of two lens choices to pick. Here is the conversation: "Which is clearer, 1, or 2"? I said that "1 may look a bit sharper, but the 'O' looks like a square where it looks round on '2'". Her advice to choose the one that is less distorted seems to have made all the difference in the world. The prescription I got was far and away the easiest to adjust to I've ever experienced. They literally required no adjustment period at all. It was instantly perfect. I was also very happy that this exam, despite it having been my first exam in over a decade, didn't require my eyes to be dilated. I'm not sure exactly why this is, but I'm not complaining. If you're a new patient, don't get discouraged by the long wait time before you can get in. The reason that they're booked solid for a few months out is because they are great, and waiting is definitely worth it.

Three of my children needed glasses/contacts starting in elementary school. One of those three had a unique farsighted eye condition that required special glasses to "train" her eyes to grow properly. After less than a year her eyes responded well and she no longer needs glasses - huge blessing!! Dr Brittan is knowledgeable, personable, patient, and somehow makes these appointments fun for them! My husband and I see him as well. Thank you Dr. Brittan and all your support staff for helping us with our unique eye needs!

Incompetence at every level and that is putting it nicely…read more The doctor (Dr Hardesty) wanted to change my contact lens that I have worn for a very long time. He gave me "weekly" contacts to try. I came back a week later after trying them out and agreed they would work for me. He gave me my prescription and sent me on my way. I went to fill the prescription just to find out he gave me a prescription for daily lenses. We had a conversation at my appointment about how I did not want daily lenses for several reasons. I called the office on 6/17 and left a message stating that I was prescribed the wrong contact lenses. Never got a call back, called again on 6/22 and was told the doctor was out of the country for 2 weeks but his notes state he gave me a daily lens to trial and that is the lens in the prescription. He gave me a daily lens and told me to put that in my eye everyday for a week??? I'm going to hope and pray he did not do that and just made a clerical error in his notes. I was assured he would fix it as soon as he returned and I would get a call back on July 3rd when he returned to the office. Well July 9th came around with no call, no email or any kind of communication about my prescription so I again reached out. I left a message as even though it was during office hours no one answered the phone. Art called me back and I was assured a new prescription would be emailed to me that day - I confirmed I wanted it to be emailed to me and confirmed my email address with him. That afternoon I got a voicemail asking if I wanted to pick up the prescription or have it emailed to me. OK more of my time wasted....I called back and again told them I wanted it emailed to me and again confirmed my email with another person. The following day I still did not have an prescription. So we are now 3 full weeks from when I notified them I was given the wrong prescription and I still did not have a prescription in hand so I reach out to them again. I email them this time and request them to respond to the email with the prescription. If they are reading the email and the prescription is indeed ready it can't be that hard to email it back right? Finally I get an email stating they had sent it to the WRONG EMAIL. They had my email in my file, had successfully communicated with me via email about my appointment and I verbally confirmed it with 2 different people within hours of each other and still they got it wrong. It goes without saying I will not be going back nor would I recommend anyone else go to this office.

An even better deal (for me at least), was the 50% off a second pair of glasses discount. I went with a pair of hip prescription sunglasses. Sure, it rains all the time here, but it's nice on sunny days (or vacation) to not have to squint. Vancouver Vision Clinic is a full-service and very professional place to get your eyewear ... which also means it's as expensive af. Thank God (and the receptionist up front) that they took my insurance. I didn't even know my coverage included vision until she said, "Well, let me just check." The glasses were still pricey af, but at least I saved some $$ on the exam and frames. Overall, I've got no complaints ... well, except one. When my wife said she was considering also getting contacts, they switched to a different salesperson who brought high-pressure, act-now tactics that became a total turn-off. We ended up simply getting her contacts another place. No biggie, but still -1 for the contacts sales rep. It isn't easy for me to leave a negative review, but our experience has been incredibly frustrating. I purchased progressive lenses that cost over $500. I was told that if they didn't work, I could bring them back and they would make them right. After about five weeks, I called because I was having trouble adjusting. I was told to give it more time, so I did. After several more months, the glasses still made me nauseated and didn't work properly. When I went back, I was told I was wearing them incorrectly and just needed to move my head more. However, if I physically hold the glasses higher on my face, they work much better. Despite that, I was ultimately told they would not remake or adjust them. Then my daughter had an issue with her glasses. She was given the wrong prescription and had to take them back. They corrected the prescription, and she chose replacement frames that were less expensive than the originals. Even though the original mistake was theirs, they refused to refund the $80 difference in the cost of the frames. Glasses are a significant investment, and they're essential for everyday life. When mistakes happen, customers deserve to have them corrected without additional cost. Instead, I'm left with $500 glasses that I can't comfortably wear, and my vision insurance won't cover another pair for two years. On top of that, we overpaid for my daughter's replacement frames because of the office's error. This has been the worst customer service I've experienced from a healthcare provider. The right thing to do would be to remake my glasses so they fit and function properly and refund the $80 difference for my daughter's replacement frames. That seems like a fair and reasonable resolution. I hope this review encourages the office to make things right. Tried to get in to my primary care physician, first available appointment 2 weeks out, I would have removed my eye by then. Called Camas Optique, they told me to come right in and they'd squeeze me in. Dr Pinske diagnosed the issue, flushed out my eye and prescribed all necessary medications. Amazing staff. If they need a mission statement it should say "We're here when our patients need us" If I had the option of giving a million star review it still wouldn't be enough! Great job Camas Optique
