The waiting room features a hot and cold water dispenser, as well as a Keurig coffeemaker with a huge variety of flavors. Chairs are plush and comfortable. I was particularly impressed with the technology in the pre-exam area. There are four machines right in a row. The first is an interactive test for peripheral vision / size of field of view. The second is an automatic test to establish one's baseline eyeglasses prescription, featuring a barn at the end of street on a grassy field to look at as opposed to others I've experienced that have nothing or a blurry circle. The third is an "air puff" glaucoma tester, and the fourth is one that takes photos of one's eyes. The wait to see the eye doctor was very short, and Dr. Hu was extremely professional, polite, and helpful. She was the first eye doctor who was ever able to answer my questions about how to determine which of two lens choices to pick. Here is the conversation: "Which is clearer, 1, or 2"? I said that "1 may look a bit sharper, but the 'O' looks like a square where it looks round on '2'". Her advice to choose the one that is less distorted seems to have made all the difference in the world. The prescription I got was far and away the easiest to adjust to I've ever experienced. They literally required no adjustment period at all. It was instantly perfect. I was also very happy that this exam, despite it having been my first exam in over a decade, didn't require my eyes to be dilated. I'm not sure exactly why this is, but I'm not complaining. If you're a new patient, don't get discouraged by the long wait time before you can get in. The reason that they're booked solid for a few months out is because they are great, and waiting is definitely worth it.

Anyway, let's focus on the wonderful Evergreen Eye Care. Dr. Zamberlan and her staff are consummate professionals. I haven't had such a modern, comprehensive exam in a long time. The staff are so welcoming, from making my appointment to my first visit. Unlike a lot of medical offices, the waiting room is not crowded and Dr. Z. takes her time sharing her knowledge with her patients. I truly felt valued and am so happy to have found my "forever" eye care practice. Sandy was the assistant at my visit...so friendly and knowledgeable. Nicole helped me select 2 frames (which are very reasonably priced) plus new reading lenses and offered me their current discounts. They have such a nice selection and I've never chosen glasses so quickly! I cannot think of any suggestions to make other than to ask that you please continue to do what you are doing. Evergreen Eye Care is awesome. *Update: I referred my hub to EEC and asked him about his experience. He said, "I loved it!!" The entire conversation went as such: Me: Hello L: I'm calling you about a refund. I need your debit card numbers and expiry. Me: Okay [lists off the numbers]. Thank You. L: You're welcome--and slammed the phone down on me before finishing her words. She did not confirm my name, confirm my card details, tell me when I should approximately see it return to my account, say sorry it didn't work out or anything. I only hope she took my card details correctly at this point. I didn't even know who Lindsay was as the optics staff never told me their names, but now I realize it was likely Optics Staff 1. I wish I had been put on a call with someone else to deal with this refund. I'm baffled why the staff has been unprofessional throughout my experience. The stress they have caused is inappropriate especially for a doctors office. Thankfully the refund arrived after a few days, but I do not recommend this location.

When I first went to see him I had a bleed behind my optic nerve. Yes he watched it but last year decided I should be seen by a Retina Specialist. He said he sent a refer to a Dr on the east side of town that was in Aug...I saw him in Nov and said I never got a call about my eye. After a couple of days they said the fax machine wasn't working and they would fix it and get the referal sent. I ended up finding my own Specialist, made my own appointment and informed his office where to send my info. Long story short, I now have wet macular degeneration and due to the scar tissue that was building up in my eye for some time I won't get any of the central vision I lost back. I have to get monthly injections in my eye. Dr Waldo is a nice guy however if you need more care then getting glasses maybe look elsewhere. I asked my eye specialist if this scaring and damage was due to the bleed I had in my eye for all these years. He nodded slightly and said we just have to move forward. Sigh I am returning to my first Ophthalmologist who is more qualified to care for my eyes long term.

They made sure to call us the day before with a reminder, text us with the link For the necessary paperwork to fill out, and answered any questions. I was also impressed with the technology they have on site. It turns out my husband has two cataracts, which we knew were impacting his vision. However, I was impressed that Dr. Lewis recommended that my husband not get glasses until after having the cataracts removed. He discussed the referral for cataract surgery and who he recommended. The doctor explained things exceptionally well and very clearly. My eyes are fairly weird having had bacterial spinal meningitis many years ago. I have pseudo tumor, a.k.a., my brain thinks it has a brain tumor. Some doctors deal with this information. Well, as did Dr. Lewis. He showed me how my retina are actually crinkled from the brain pressure I have. He also explained that I would need to have a very different type of surgery eventually, and that this is affecting the vision of my left eye far more than my right. This is the most information I have gotten out of any doctor regarding my vision in over 30 years. After this positive experience, both of us agreed that we would keep Dr. Lewis and his staff. I'm really happy that our family member had recommended him. It was also very easy to just go out his door with my prescription and order a regular pair of glasses and sunglasses at the Costco optical center. With $50 off the second pair, I was able to get both pair of glasses for right around $300 , and this included the bifocal lenses that have no line.

Called the office and a very new receptionist told me it was normal - I did not at all agree and firmly told her to talk to a doctor or assistant. Someone more knowledgeable was quickly put on the phone and she got me into an appointment later in the day as the doctors were on a surgery day. While my wait at the office was long that day - which was fine as I was pushed into an already busy schedule, my eye was dilated and seen by Dr. Crews. After examination I went home knowing that a) my call was validated and b) that while there was a bit of an issue, my retina was still fine but that didn't mean a problem couldn't appear. Three days later I had a worser episode with the eye very late in the afternoon but knew I had an appointment already scheduled for the morning with Dr. Crews. Well we switched the purpose of the appt when I arrived and the doctor decided there was enough issue going on that he got on the phone with a retina specialist to get me fit into their schedule and they sent me right over. Big props to Dr. Crews for seeing me when needed and explaining what he believed was happening (he was correct about it) and then getting on the phone with the retina specialist to fit me right into their busy day. Thank you to the team, but train those new receptionists a wee bit better. And if you are reading this in choosing a doctor for lasik/cataracts, I continue to highly recommend Dr. Crews and overall all the great & kind staff in his office.

I'm so disappointed. My parents had been coming here for years, so we chose this office based on…read moretheir recommendation. It isn't easy for me to leave a negative review, but our experience has been incredibly frustrating. I purchased progressive lenses that cost over $500. I was told that if they didn't work, I could bring them back and they would make them right. After about five weeks, I called because I was having trouble adjusting. I was told to give it more time, so I did. After several more months, the glasses still made me nauseated and didn't work properly. When I went back, I was told I was wearing them incorrectly and just needed to move my head more. However, if I physically hold the glasses higher on my face, they work much better. Despite that, I was ultimately told they would not remake or adjust them. Then my daughter had an issue with her glasses. She was given the wrong prescription and had to take them back. They corrected the prescription, and she chose replacement frames that were less expensive than the originals. Even though the original mistake was theirs, they refused to refund the $80 difference in the cost of the frames. Glasses are a significant investment, and they're essential for everyday life. When mistakes happen, customers deserve to have them corrected without additional cost. Instead, I'm left with $500 glasses that I can't comfortably wear, and my vision insurance won't cover another pair for two years. On top of that, we overpaid for my daughter's replacement frames because of the office's error. This has been the worst customer service I've experienced from a healthcare provider. The right thing to do would be to remake my glasses so they fit and function properly and refund the $80 difference for my daughter's replacement frames. That seems like a fair and reasonable resolution. I hope this review encourages the office to make things right.
