The employees…read moreat Atmosphere salon are so sweet and welcoming and helped me figure out exactly which look would be the best fit for my complexion and lifestyle. I had Hannah and she did an AMAZING job on my hair. I previously went to a salon to get my first round of balayage and noticed such a small difference then that I was blown away with the difference Hannah and Janet made for me! My hair is naturally black and thick, and even after my new balayage it still feels healthy and shiny. Atmosphere Salon is 100% my go-to for whenever I am in Raleigh from now on, the prices are reasonable and the staff is so dedicated and great at what they do!

The 2nd time I went, Carly decided to wash before the cut/style and, while I couldn't tell initially after styling, my hair was terribly uneven when I left. Like in a serious way - pictures attached. I will say that when I texted Carly a photo, she confirmed that was not her intention and offered to try to correct the error. I do appreciate this. I went back in and she was able to "even" it out as best she could given the condition. It wasn't ideal, but I get it. Mistakes happen. I'm now considering going back for a 3rd go, but I am a bit hesitant given my experience. I will update my review if I do return.

She gave me a cost estimate at the consultation which i am really grateful for because I've experienced "sticker shock " before at hair appointments , expecting to pay one thing and getting a much higher bill at the end of the service . I will say that the prices listed on the website are very much " starting prices " . My hair service ended up being a corrective color and did take several hours , however Carly explained to me that i will be able to go for several months in between my highlighting services so in my opinion, it was well worth the money and time ! I only found out when it was time to pay, which felt frustrating and unprofessional. I grew it out for a few months, but couldn't wait through the sides getting long. I saw Amanda for a consultation for hair extensions and balayage. When I came back for the appointment, everything went perfectly. Amanda is so pleasant and wears extensions, so she was very knowledgeable and wanted me to look fantastic. She colored my hair to perfectly match the extensions. I had brought a picture to the consultation and my hair looks exactly like the picture. This was one of the best experiences I've ever had in a salon. I am now a lifetime client. I'll continue to wear extensions even after my hair is long again, in order to add volume to my fine hair. Over $200 for a trim and color. I was use to paying these prices at other high end salons and it was not a problem. Camille recently gave me a trim and color. Camille had colored my hair a few months ago and It was time for a trim and color touch up. I wanted Camille to tone down the brassy blonde and get rid of the gray at my roots. She died the root area a dark brown and said she would apply a glaze over the rest to tone down the blonde. I paid $174 plus a tip of $25. Once finished I loved the cut but remarked my root area looked to dark and wasn't well blended with the bottom part of my hair. I was not satisfied. Camille said that was the style. A few days later I reached out to Camille to let her know my dissatisfaction. She said for an additional $55 I could have 10 highlights put in and she would put another glaze on. I felt like I was a great client for 2 years and had spent thousands with Camille's business. I believe Camille should have offered to make me happy and fix the issue at no cost. I now see it is all about the money and not the customer service. I was not trying to take advantage. I just want my color right and get what I had already paid for. Raleigh is full of talented stylists and I have taken my business elsewhere.
