    Potato skins, bacon burger.

Everything about this restaurant was amazing. The hot honey cheese curds are delicious. The ambiance is very cute and cozy.

We had a wonderful experience at the ranch. It is decorated nicely to provide an elevated experience. How the plate the food is really nice. Definitely made for nicer experience. We started off with the dip flight. It was $20 so I didn't know what to expect because that seemed like a lot. YOU GET SO MUCH DIP. I really enjoyed it. We only went with two of us and you couldn't even tell we had eaten them. So we took them home. The only thing about it is if you get pimento cheese dip I wish they also gave you crackers because tortilla chips don't make much sense with it . My boyfriend got the weekend special which was pimento cheese stuffed backed potato with venison medallions. He really enjoyed it! I got the smash burger. I thought it was just okay. I got potato skins with it. They were huge and had a lot of toppings. Good value for a side! Overall, will go back! The only other feedback I would have is it took us a while for someone to get us seated and she wasn't very friendly. The waitress was fantastic though and was really hustling!

Whenever I'm in Rockville, I try to stop at The Ranch! Everything I've had is so good and the service is wonderful. The ambiance is also so cute! The Bisbee appetizer is my favorite. Bread with a garlic cheese spread! So good. The pizza and croissant sandwiches are also delicious. One of my friends had the Grand Canyon Potato and it looked amazing! They have a full bar as well.

Wow! We came from out of town and were looking for a bite to eat before visiting the festivals. The Ranch has a very nice eclectic vibe and great atmosphere. Loved the menu options, a lot of unique items with a twist. We started with the pizza cupcakes that had a sweet heat dipping sauce and were topped with pepperoni and jalapeños. The Grand Canyon potato was the size of a football and stuffed with lots of toppings. The bacon Gouda smash burger had thick bacon and a delicious buttered bun. The steak fajita bowl was filled with fresh ingredients. And the kids cheese pizza was my son's second favorite pizza he's ever had! Lots of local craft beer options including a full coffee bar. If you are in the area, make it a must stop!

Consistency would be a good goal.

Seriously. What is wrong with you folks? $8 for these eggs? My husband opened them and deemed them cat food. He tried one. We'll see if the cats will eat them.

Talk about a hidden gem! This place is literally right across the entrance of Raccoon Lake - seems so out of place. The place is nice and big .. even modern. The food is quite delicious ...so delicious, in fact, that my partner and I went back for a 2nd time in 7 days! Lol The first my partner and I went, we ordered the grilled cheese with bacon fig jam and their version of cinnamon bun - everything was absolutely scrumptious! The 2nd time - we had shrimp and grits, salad and potato soup - everything was just as divine as the first time. They definitely have an awesome chef! This place is worth the drive for sure so if you don't mi d driving - check them out and you can thank me later!

$8.00 smoothies that taste like iced milk

50 cents for a glass of water (see attached image for explanation). That's a bad first impression to have immediately after being seated. And the pineapple mango smoothies in the picture? You know how La Croix sparkling water has just the essence of a fruit flavor without really tasting like much of anything? Pretty much the same thing, and $8.00 each for the privilege. Fortunately, the pizzas did elevate the experience. The Palominas had a flavorful garlic peppercorn cream sauce and came loaded with bacon, chicken, and mozzarella (a little light on the crushed red pepper flakes so ask for a shaker if you want extra heat). My wife was pleased with the East Fork pizza- red sauce, buffalo mozzarella, tomato slices, and fresh basil (although for $20.00, they were embarrassingly skimpy with the buffalo mozzarella). Overall a decent experience, if you avoid the overpriced beverages.

Pickle pizza. Was ok, not very flavorful

Went Saturday for lunch and sat at the bar. I took my friend who had never been and I was very disappointed. Her food was amazing my pizza was ok. The bartender was severely lacking. I've always sat at the bar there and been taken care of very well. My friend ordered a coke, side Caesar salad and the hefty hand sandwich and I got water, the side Caesar and the pickle pizza. We got our drinks then our salads which was good. Then I noticed my friends coke was gone and the bartender just kept making cocktails and other stuff. She Never even asked how the salads were. So when someone else brought our food out she asked if we wanted anything else and she asked for more coke. Our server was right in front of her, looked up and didn't even acknowledge it. The other lady ended up bringing a carafe of it. We finished our meals and our server had disappeared for at least 10 minutes. We asked for boxes and our check and the charm turned on because it was too time I'm sure. I will go back because every other time this place had been amazing but I will never sit in her area again.

Sunday brunch at The Ranch is wonderful! The menu is different than through the week and they are only open from 10 am to 2 pm, but definitely worth the trip. Reservations are recommended on Sundays.

I LOVe the ambiance of this place. Sunday brunch! Jeff got Breakfast bowl, very tasty. Best biscuits & gravy was smooth and velvety. Pizza regular crust thin, nice but the pizza sauce is way too sweet. Cauliflower crust was good for cauliflower crust. Mimosas not very good, warm and one sent back. Bloody Mary was amazing!!! One star off due to mimosas! Overall nice.

Specialty mimosa flight and a fresh squeezed orange juice mimosa

What a cool spot in a small town in the middle of a nature/recreational part of Indiana. If you're visiting Raccoon Lake, Rockville, Turkey Run, or just passing through I highly recommend stopping in! I stopped for brunch after a leisurely float down Sugar Creek and a night of camping. I almost stopped at a local gas station for some food, but remembered a friend suggesting this place next time I went hiking in that area. It was the perfect Brunch after 24 hours of "roughing it". I started with a specialty mimosa flight, while my husband got a fresh squeezed OJ mimosa. Since all of them were delicious, I advise getting whatever flavor sounds best because they're all tasty. Next we tried the deviled eggs, and they were good. If you're a deviled egg fan, these are what I'm used to enjoying at a traditional family get together. I got a half order of B&G, while my husband enjoyed the Ranch Boy- a standard pancake house breakfast. It was all standard and very good, just not fancy or elevated (which you might expect from the decor and menu). Our service started out with a bang, which made the rest of our experience more disappointing. But I would not hold it against them. The servers/runners seemed to be sharing responsibilities, and something tripped them up to where we didn't get our main course for over 45 minutes after our appetizer, which came out within 15 minutes of ordering everything. I still didn't have any issue with the kindness of our servers or their efforts. We decided to finish our meal with a double chocolate frappe. I expected more of an espresso drink, so maybe I misinterpreted the menu item since it didn't explicitly say "espresso" in the name. I just assumed a frappe was coffee unless otherwise stated, so I should have just asked. It was extremely sweet and chocolaty and there was no coffee/espresso flavor at all. I couldn't drink it, but my husband enjoyed his thoroughly, so I think it's all a matter of how much of a sweet tooth you have. He has a mouthful. Even with the hiccups we encountered, I can't wait to go back and try some things off their main menu or whatever special they're featuring when we stop in next time!

The Whisk has been on our road trip list for awhile, and we finally went with some friends. Greencastle has never been high on my priority list of places to visit, but I'd heard rumors about "The Whisk" being a great place to visit for whisky lovers like myself. And the rumors were true! Walking up to The Whisk...well, that doesn't happen. You have to walk down some stairs that are nondescript, giving the entrance a very old fashioned speakeasy vibe. I immediately fell in love. It feels like a secret club that I'm a part of! The decor is big city speakeasy vibe and lets you know immediately that regardless of shoe you are, you're welcome at the Whisk (see some of the pictures of the decor). We went on a Friday because they have a dinner menu only on Fridays and it changes every week. Tosh and her husband, Joel, are the co-owners and curators of all the food and cocktails. Although there are always small plates on the menu, the full menu complete with dessert was exactly what we wanted. The presentation and flavors of the dinner and drinks felt like being in Chicago or New York, not Greencastle! It was a delightful anachronistic experience. The blackened catfish and The Ghost whisky cocktail were some of the best things I've ingested in a long time. I can't wait to go back!

When I walked in I asked where it was and the security staff told me to go to the 10th floor. You have to walk through the hotel part and go up. Once you get off I promise you, you feel that you are no longer in Terre Haute. I honestly felt like I was in Charlotte, NC. The view is insane looking at the greenery of what makes Indiana so pretty in the summer time (I can't wait to go back during fall to take in the view then too). The music was a total vibe. It was R&B, Chill POP (is that a thing, don't know how else to describe). There is an outdoor patio area where there was a guy playing live music and people sitting on couches relaxing and watching while enjoying a cocktail. I sat at the bar because I was by myself and certainly didn't want to take up an entire couch and leave that for others that may have larger parties. As soon as I sat down my server came to take my order. While I wasn't really planning to eat, once I looked at the menu the Chicken Nachos were calling my name. Even though I am counting calories, I had to order. Man, when they came out they were huge and so so good. You can order the chicken blackened which I did and man it was great. I just sat and enjoyed my very caloric nachos and a cocktail and just really took it in. I don't live in Terre Haute, I live in Indianapolis, but I spend a ton of time in Terre Haute for work. At that moment, I felt proud. I felt proud of Terre Haute for making the investment and proud that they are attempting to change the city by offering things like this. I host client events for work and I am thinking of ways to host something fun here, so I will be back!

Good crowd, dinners on tables looked great as we were seated. And waited. Short-staffed, it seemed. The three of us asked for a bit of time to decide. We certainly got that! When server returned in the nick of time, I was ready to leave. Ordered 2 starters and dinners. Prompt service, but very small proportions. I guess if the prices aren't printed on the menu and something like "subject to market pricing" is, that should be a sign. Friend 1 ordered a burger and fries. Good proportions. For him. Friend 2 ordered the cod sandwich and fries. Looked like something one would find on a school cafeteria tray. Me and friend 2 had literally half as many fries as Friend 1. I had ordered the "fish basket". Long John's is a larger meal, at a better price! It was literally a kid's meal. Slaw came out earlier than the meal. Not cold, but cool enough and was OK. Fries were undercooked and warm. NOT hot. The meal literally would not have satisfied an 8 year old. Fish with no smell, other than cooking oil, which smelled OK, but no fish smell? Meanwhile, the guy at the next table had a tenderloin big enough for 2 people, and enough onion rings, too! Server returned, and I sent the meal back. By then, friends were nearly done eating. Server asked why. I explained it calmly. Instead of trying to compensate, I got an argument. I left. I won't be going back. Why 1 of 3 in a party would get a good sized dinner, while the other 2 gets kids' meals is beyond me. And no offer other than "Would you like to order something else?" If we had another hour to kill and someone else to dine with, maybe... but... no. $24 for 2 drinks, a sandwich and fries for a child (maybe...a small child) and 1 small appetizer, to me, is ridiculous. It's a shame, because it was a long drive for us, and it's been a while since I've been well enough to go out and enjoy an evening with friends. I was really looking forward to it, and ended up sorely disappointed. Can't recommend this place any more.
