This studio was recommended to me over eight years ago, and I still attend faithfully whenever my schedule allows. I actually don't think I've ever taken a class with Mandy, but have heard fantastic things about her from almost everyone who comes. My friend has quoted Mandy's sage advice: "You don't mess with the gods or your knees." I would consider myself an advanced beginner and used to challenge myself to the level II/III class on Tuesday evenings. My work and their class schedule have since changed, but I'll still try to drop in whenever our schedules align. Most recently, I've been hitting up the community yoga classes on Fridays at 7:30. They are taught by teachers in training, and there is almost always a great vibe in the studio. As fellow Yelpers have mentioned, parking in both the adjoining lot and the municipal lot across the street can get a bit tricky. Either come early or plan to park on a side street. So far so good! I went to a few 8:30am Saturday classes and enjoyed them very much. The studio is the perfect size and there are just the right amount of people per class. I really enjoyed Alyssa's class. I felt her style was very in-tune with my own. Energetic and fun Vinyasa flow. I would like to try the 10:00am Pilates/Yoga class soon. Will update! The owner Mandy Grant is a true yogi. Her dharma talks helped carry many of us through the darkest times of the Pandemic. Zoom or in person she is a bright light. Mandy Grant has enlightened the over one hundred teachers she has trained as well through her well honed teacher training program. Her teachers are all very inspired and dedicated to upholding the high standards established by Mandy Grant in each class that they teach. There is a huge variety of classes each week as well as lots of specialty and pop up workshops and other events. Mandy was a travel agent in a past life, so she expertly puts together yoga travel excursions to various continents such as Africa where (in South Africa) she originated. Coming up Spring and Summer 2021 there should be some fun outdoor classes to look forward to as well as continued Zoom classes. I came here for the first time last Friday and my experience was great. The place is clean and smelled very relaxing. They really took the time to make it feel serene for those who came here. Soo is very helpful especially for a beginner like me. The next day my husband tried one of the classes and he had a great experience too. He had a trainee teacher but he said he really enjoyed the class and the instructor was very accomodating. We both recommend this place. read more

From the outside, this studio looks small, but I took the chance to go in and try out a beginner Vinyasa series. I'm hooked! Mandy, the studio owner, is amazing! She's a great instructor! She will make you feel comfortable (my friend is a first timer) and you won't feel uncomfortable trying to get your body into positions. This series allows you to use various props, so don't worry about not being able to get yourself into a position. The studio aura is tranquil and soothing. It's quite spacious and SO clean! If you don't have any qualms about having your body flow up and down, then try out Vinyasa yoga. It's a great way to get the heart pumping and your body moving! read more

As an avid yoga practitioner, I've been to studios all over Bergen County. Juluka is the gold standard of yoga studios. Mandy is an incredible owner/instructor and her staff has incredible knowledge of both the practice and philosophy of yoga. They offer programs for everyone from Beginner to Advanced, Childern/Teens, Senior Citizens, Yogalates and Heated Yoga. They have also been some incredible workshops spanning topics like Chakras, Aryuveda, and Asana Inversions. Community classes are offered to benefit various local and global charities. Matts and Props are free of charge to use during your session unlike other studios. This really is the place to go for any level of practitioner. read more

I always thought Yoga was boring until I took some classes at Juluka. Its a studio that is focused and enthusiastic about what they offer. Compassion for charities and community outreach also adds to their list of "what's good" they are supportive of their students and encourage each on to improve at their own pace.
