So happy with our new nails. I think we found a nail salon we will return to again! Manicurists here pay attention to detail and the results show well. So beautiful! I love my gel nails! This was not a rushed manicure. Very relaxing. Bonus was the hot towel and shoulder massage! Comparable prices to my (unfortunately) previous salon. I'm not going back to a salon I went to for many years. They didn't provide quality service in recent visits as they did years ago. Salon Gel nail polish with manicure $30. Daughter had acrylic fill $45. With tip we were just under $100 today.

Dang. I wanted to like this place. It'd been pre-pandemic since I'd last had a professional manicure, and my manicurist for years had retired. We used to have real "girl time", laughing and talking maybe a bit too loud, sharing goings on in each other's lives. But I had a gift card for July Nails, so gave it a try. The atmosphere was not conducive to relaxing. The music was loud and club-like, nothing soothing here. A worker greeted us by shouting to us from the station where he was giving someone a pedi to figure out why we were there, then directed my friend to the polish selection. I was escorted to a wobbly chair and given an oversized menu of gel polish selections. I was asked to move to a different table and wobbly chair, and an associate met me at that station, next to another patron. The counter area I was set to view for the duration of my mani was filled with supplies and looked rather disorganized. Nothing said this was a pleasure place to relax and be pampered. It could have been an auto mechanic's workbench. I was not impressed with the feeling I got inside this salon at all. It almost felt like a small tire store waiting area. No one asked my name nor a thing about me. Neither did they introduce themselves or offer any conversation at all. I was given a small water bottle. In fact the verbal exchange was clearly not included in the manicure. This was a nearly silent service. I'm pretty sure if it was possible, they'd prefer you to drop off just your hands and return for them 35 minutes later. The manicurist did not - I repeat - did not use a new nail file on me nor a new buffer. I noticed after using a paper towel as a base, after my mani, it was folded in half, perhaps for the next contestant? Yikes. I must say, my nails look very nice. I was asked if I'd like a paraffin dip, had no idea, and so I did. It was nice, hands felt soft after. Also was given a quick warm towel neck massage. The cost was $35 plus tip for the fastest, quietist, most impersonal manicure I ever had. Fingers crossed nothing untoward was lurking in those files. Eek. Not returning.

I was visiting from out of state and found this shop on yelp. My boyfriend and I both got spa pedicures and they were amazing! For the price you pay you definitely get your moneys worth. They start with a leg mask and nail cleaning, then they do a leg scrub followed by a hot towel message and hot stone message. They also do a foot scrub that takes off all and I mean ALL of the dead skin (we were grossed out by the amount of skin) leaving your feet so soft. They end their pedicures with a hot towel shoulder message! I also got the dip powder manicure and the nail tech was great. They were very detailed and meticulous with their work. I am definitely stopping by anytime I visit!

Awesome dip manicure with two neck massages, hands dipped in paraffin wax, and a hand massage!

I just left July Nails and am at a loss for words over the service. After spending an hour waiting (and leaving) at my now former go-to nail spot, I looked at Yelp and decided to give July a try. .. and when I say I was NOT disappointed, believe me. Though the location is in East Amherst (nothing bad, just a smidge of a drive), it's quite spacious, clean, and modern. I was instantly greeted, seated, and taken on the ultimate dip manicure experience that puts ALL manicure experiences to shame. For starters, my guy (I will not give his name to ensure he is available the next time I go in :P) came up behind me 10 mins into the service for a neck and upper back massage. It was deep tissue, relaxing, and hit all of my kinks. Once my nails were done, the fun obviously just begun as I got ANOTHER neck and upper back massage -- this time with hot towels (hey now). Think that sounds like a dream? We aren't done yet. After washing my hands, I was able to get my hands dipped in paraffin wax before they got wrapped up, and, wait for it, ANOTHER hot towel massage -- this time for my hands. I probably had the look of satisfication and dumbfoundedness on my face as I cannot believe how wonderful my manicure turned out and how many perks came with the experience. Right before leaving, my guy gave me a thank you gift. And did I mention that I'm paying $15 LESS for a dip manicure than I did at my old spot? Um, yeah ... I'm definitely coming back. (I'm in need of a pedicure, so heaven knows how dreamy that experience will be. I might just see Jesus.)

    What i got......

For starters, this business does not have my respect anymore. I went in asking for a dip manicure. But my results were far from satisfactory. The workers practically laughed in my face when they finished the design. It looks like a botched version a "bow", more like a pair of scissors. The man doing my nails does not know how to properly apply the tips, so they are all very unstable. He also tried to pull one off after it had dried which was quite painful. The entire thing took over four hours, since the man worked on me and my sister at the same time. Never going back.

I love this place !!!! This is the second time I have been there and I tend to bring a friend with me too. I believe in sharing is caring , if a business is great why not spreading the word ?? They are all very professional and take the time to do the job in the best possible way. The guy who does my nail is awesome and I always ask for him. He does not rush anything and spend every minute on making his client satisfied. Shoulder and hand massage are the perk! I have been into a few different places before but this is my favorite of all.

Loved the experience!! The manicure was great and they even do a little shoulder massage with a hot towel. My favorite part was when they dip your hand in warm wax then peel it off. Leaves your hands soft and it's also super fun. The reason im not doing 5 stars is that my finger nails all hurt now! Not exactly sure why, but they all just feel sore. I got a power dip manicure which I have had at other places before and I have no idea why it hurts now. It didn't hurt at all while they were doing it though and the other people I went with did not have similar problems. Ill have to give them another try and see if it was a one time fluke,

Had a great experience here! Me and my daughter went - we had to wait a little bit but they were able to get us in. They didn't have one of those kids pedicure chairs but were able to adjust the seat for her. My pedicure is still lasting 3 + weeks- overall Great job and I'll be back!

The hours of service need to be updated. Just tried to walk-in at 3pm on Sunday and the salon was closed. Very disappointed.

This review is for the manicures only. I have been duly impressed by Nicole and her professional,…read moreskillful manner and incredibly long lasting gel manicures. I am very hard on my hands, but she manages to make them look really good. I've been going monthly and will continue. I've tried a lot of local nail salons and this is the only place I have been returning to. No worries at all about sterile instruments, hygiene or cleanliness. New buffer, file and wooden pusher thing every time. As for the atmosphere, it's a bit less relaxing than I would prefer. I think it's the noise level, and the music isn't very calming. The pedicure room (where my friend was) is especially cold seeming, all that tile and the sounds of well, you know, echoing. You pay and leave gratuity up front before leaving. I would not want to get my hair done here because of a lack of privacy, it's the kind of thing I would not want strangers seeing, it's really a personal thing. Hair dye, wet hair, all those foil things, are all best left under a veil of mystery. The ease of making an appointment is great: online, telephone, schedule next one up front while you're there...they text you reminders which I appreciate, even though it's in my calendar. You leave a card on file to pay which I don't mind doing, although I mostly pay in cash. Nicole does a great job on my not so wonderful nails. There would be so much opportunity for mistakes but she really makes them look as good as they get, shiny and flawless for a good two weeks.

The only thing I ever loved about this salon was Neil. He had been doing my hair for years, so…read moreimagine my surprise when I went to book an appointment and heard he had moved to Arizona! I was shocked and disappointed he didn't tell me himself that he was moving. Come to find out, Neil didn't move to Arizona. After he was (what I believe was) unfairly let go, he moved about 10 minutes south to a salon behind Kohls on Transit & Klein. Sadly, I later heard from another of his former clients they were told another (more slanderous) story about why Neil was not with the salon anymore. Another lie. If the salon owner did not value his employee, that's one thing. Just tell his clients you don't know where he went. To spread awful rumors and lies about him is unprofessional and truly awful. I'm happy to say I've found Neil again & no longer have to darken the door of a place I felt no connection to outside the one person who always greeted me warmly & always made sure I felt valued.
