First of all the store was open on Memorial Day, which was fantastic as I was passing through town because I needed to give my dog a bath. It's WASH your dog first pay as you leave and that's totally fine. I wished the tubs would've been higher, so my back didn't hurt so bad and the water spout is too big and cumbersome to get underneath my labrador dog comfortably. Because my canine is a Service-Dog who uses his nose to work, I requested unscented shampoo and as nice as the clerk was, they could not accommodate. The store is bright, clean and well organized, but I have to say for someone who washes her Service dog once every week or two paying $44+ for a self service dog bath seems insane to me. In all my years of washing service dogs I have never paid more than $20 and most of the time I'm offered a Service-Dog discount to somewhere between six and $12. Max $18. Also, I was looking for cotton balls and Q-tips, etc. to be able to dry out and clean out my dog's ears, which they had none of. So in summary, I brought my own shampoo, washed my own dog used one towel and it cost me $44 & a back ache. Part of the reason I go to the self-serve places is because I don't want to hurt my back, but I could've used a hose for free and been in the same place. I offered suggestions as I departed, but they seemed to fall on deaf ears, or the clerk seemed to have heard it all before and kind of brushed it off. Even if I lived in this town, I would never go back to this place because it's simply not a match for me.why should I work that hard and pay that much money just to need a chiropractor? read more

Julz Animal Houz has always been more than helpful no matter which dog I bring in. It could be my 5 lb Pom, my 100+ lb grumpy block head boy or one of my very unsocialized bully rescues. So many suggestions to help with digestion, joint health, anxiety and so much more. I don't know what we would do with her. I really wish I lived closer but have always been able to do a phone consult and have things set aside for trips we are making through the area. Every person including the owner are HUGE pet lovers to the point even my under socialized awkward foster babies love them. We can't say enough great things about this location and our only complaint is I can't walk there from where we live or we'd visit daily. Till next time! read more

I have been shopping at the Marysville location for 5 years. I came up to check out the new location. What a beautiful store. And as always, very friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff. They have a wide variety of healthy kibble, raw and treats for my dogs and cats. On more than one occasion, I have come in looking for advice for my dogs. They never disappoint and always lead me in the right direction on nutrition for my pets. I love the self wash tubs and also that they have a nail tech come in once a week to both locations. I am so glad I found Julz 5 years ago. I shop no where else for my pet's needs. They have it all. I have never left the store feeling discouraged about an issue and my Dog's have always been welcomed and loved on in both locations. Customer service does not get any better than this. read more

I LOVE this store. I frequent the Marysville store weekly, but decided to stop in a check out the new store. It is amazing. My dog loves it too. The self wash has tons of space, there's plenty of raw food here, and the staff is wonderful. They always recognize my dog (he's been going since he was 8 weeks, now he's a year and a half) and he loves to stop in and smell everything. I took my pittie for a bath and bought merchandise at this pet store last month. I returned because I was impressed with the quality of merchandise and availability of high quality pet food. This time, when I entered the store with my pittie on a leash and my other small dog not on a leash, immediately the woman at the front counter told me I needed to put my little dog on a leash or buy a leash if I didn't have one. I asked her if the store has leashes available (like PetSmart, Petco, Country Store) she said no that I would have to buy one if I wanted to have my dog in the store. I suggested that the store keep leashes on hand just in case....she said she wouldn't do that and that I needed to take my dog out of the store unless she was leashed. I asked her if she was the owner and she responded "yes". I told her that I returned to her store because I was impressed with the quality and her staff but that she as an owner has terrible customer service and did not make me feel welcome.....no "hi, welcome to Julz, just an immediate put you dog on a leash" and it sounded like she was yelling. I spend approx. $60 dollars at this store last time and was returning to bath and buy a sweater for my dog, but after her unprofessional and rude attitude, I immediately walked out her store and WILL NEVER RETURN......THE OWNER IS AGGRESSIVE AND I BELIEVE DISCRIMINATES AGAINST PITBULLS AND/OR PEOPLE WHO OWN THEM....IF YOU WANT A TRULY DOG FRIENDLY PET PARENT EXPERIENCE GO TO MUD BAY AND/OR ALL THE BEST OR THE COUNTRY STORE. read more
