My husband I both enjoyed the class and she keeps it fun, well-paced and it works for all levels. It attracts a lot of chill people so it's low pressure and easy for someone coming alone, which was true of most the class. Then we went on and took the beginning doubles for more play. You rotate around in 7 minute games with different partners each time so you get a lot of play time and learn from your partners. It's in a nice gym, with AC, great for year round fun.

The CEO, Scott Baxter claims there is a disclosure on the site that warns of no refunds but he's lying - there isn't. And even if there was, they call you to get your credit card number so unless you happen to be their web site when they call, you wouldn't be aware of a "no refund" policy anyway. They don't disclose that over the phone. DECEPTIVE. DISHONEST. UNETHICAL. BUYER BEWARE.

The pathway circles around the block which is surrounded with trees, a playground, several picnic areas, tennis/pickleball courts, basketball courts, a pool, and a small church. This allows for plenty of activity here and the park is clean with trash kept in the cans and grass always smoothly cut. While walking here, you'll notice birds chirping and dogs barking; giving for a soulful stroll as you bask in the sounds of nature and a community vibing. I sometimes will come here by myself when I'm in Portland to get a peace of mind and enjoy the moments of solitude. The people are friendly as everyone waves and smiles when you walk by. Talk about representing the neighborhood properly!

It's also seems, to me at least, to be one of only a handful of Portland's "living room" spaces: large enough, and conveniently central enough, to draw in folks from all over the metro area, for any of the reasons mentioned above. It's quite, serene, welcoming...nostalgic, even. A great place to commingle, or isolate, whatever your preference. Portland is blessed with a lot of urban green spaces, but few outside of Forest Park (the G.O.A.T.) can rival the majesty, modesty, and utility of Laurelhurst. It's the sort of place that can make you fall in love with your city all over again.
