The class consisted of watching videos and a discussion after each video where Dexter made sure we knew the key points of the video and made sure we understood. After going over all the topics, we practiced our CPR and ran a code for bradycardia, tachycardia, and cardiac arrest. Let me describe my experience from the top- its held in a tiny closet of a room Im not exaggerating, it's a closet. No windows, barely enough room for a few people to sit in. Secondly, for the money I paid I didn't feel it was worth it. The course felt superrrrr rushed. I left not really feeling actually trained, rather just told what to do. I really didn't leave this course feeling any more confident than when I went in, which was a major bummer. I would say I don't know where all these awesome reviews are coming from however I do- they second you walk in they make you subscribe to their youtube and when you leave make you fill out a survey and really push leaving a google review. If your looking to take a rushed course in a closet where someone just tells you what to do, this is the course for you. He targeted one of the people in our class repeatedly, raising his voice and consistently making her feel bad. He was hostile, unprofessional, and oppressing. In the days leading up to our class with him, he was almost unreachable on the phone and when he did answer he was incredibly rude and unhelpful - blaming my company for not understanding instructions he was poorly conveying to us. I highly urge you to go through another agency and instructor. Truly awful.
