I talked to Dan over the phone and from the moment he answered the phone you could tell that he was going to be great. He gave me a time estimate and said he would update me as soon as he were on his way. He told me about possible solutions and what would be better for me. Aptly named. Arrived in 30 minutes! I had parked in the neighbor's driveway to drop off some food. Left the hazards on so they would know that I would not be there long. Got distracted responding to an urgent work email. Enough time had passed to drain the battery. Leaving my car dead in the neighbor's driveway. I left a note on car with my apologies and explanation. They left a curt note that they would have me towed at 6pm. Personal thanks to Jeff F. for coming to my rescue. I hopped in my car this morning to find that it wouldn't turn over. My insurance company connected me with JumpStart Hero and the payment was easy. The service tech arrived in about an hour which was timely, but was SUPREMELY RUDE from the moment he called me. My car was street parked so it took me 3-4 minutes to arrive at which point he called me back frustrated and said "you're an asshole" before hanging up and getting out of the car. Once out of the car he had me sign some paperwork but yanked it out of my hand before I could even finish signing and dating. When I asked if I needed to finish writing the date, he said "no". This is the best solution to a classic problem. You need a new battery but can't get to the shop because you need a new battery. No problem. JSH will come to your house, switch out the battery with one from their warehouse , and like that it's done. They also can test your current battery to see if it is just low because the lights were left on or if it's low because it's at end of life. They can also test your alternator. If you suspect your alternator is on the fritz they can rule out other possibilities. If you do forget your lights on or your dome light they can come to wherever you are and get you back on the road. JSH is super friendly and doesn't insult you even though he probably knows more about cars than you do. He's also fast and has a great sense of humor. This is an excellent service. read more
