Even during the peak of the holidays they came through for my Son's car which would not start in a strip mall parking lot.

Car's transmission blew out 1 mile away from our destination. We had the car parked right across the street from Tanforan Mall. We gave a couple calls around to other towing companies but their prices were ridiculous (over $160 for a one mile job) A nice gentleman answered the phone and told us he can $95. Fair price compared to all the other towing companies. He told us a driver would come in 15-20 mins. And what do you know, Albert came to the rescue!! My car was towed from my apartment building because I accidentally parked 2 spots over (I had just moved in). I had just returned from registering my car, so my plates did not match my VIN which resulted in them being taken and held at the police station. My license plate frames were also taken and not returned to me. Nobody bothered to tell me what was going on at it cost me over $700 to get my car back. Also, almost a week after picking up my car, I received a letter in the mail dated for after I already picked up my car threatening to auction it if I don't pick it up. They claimed my car is worth less than 4k which is untrue. read more

I only have good things to say about this company. I was stuck at a Costco gas station for four hours waiting for the original tow company that Progressive had assigned. No amount of calls to Progressive or that tow company made a difference - four hours of waiting. I called Bob Jr.'s Towing and they answered almost immediately. They were incredibly helpful on the phone and were dispatched and at my location in no more than 30 minutes. The service itself only took 4 minutes! Great Price and service. I am far from SSF, but towing truck arrived in 35 minutes in pouring rain. He helped to try jump start first, but no luck. Was driving along 280 and suddenly the check emission indicator comes on and my car wouldn't go past 20 mph. Pulled on the side of the freeway and desperately looked for a towing company who could come ASAP. That's when Bob's towing company came to the rescue. They were able to get to me in 15 minutes! The guy that was sent out was super sweet and was constantly concerned about my well being and safety, taking all precautions to ensure that myself and my car was always out of harms way as we hitched my car to the tow car. A Legit company with the knowledge to get your needs met. I found that 145 cash tow to be reasonable, and I had the same vehicle towed on their flat bed for 175, which cost me more, but this was a few months later and gas is expensive, especially on a big truck. I always give the driver a small cash tip as well. UNlike some towing companies constantly trying to send you to their recommended mechanic, or trying to advise you on whats wrong with your car, I was happy to use the service to move a vehicle from A to B, without needing any unsolicited advice. Everytime I use my triple A or MPP roadside plans I get second rate services from no name companies, and people clearly trying to hustle a little more on top of what I've contracted them to do such as simply to my vehicle to point b without a bunch of bs. Glad Bob Jr's keeps it simple and does what they say, and while I'm sure they have a lot of appointments they were able to call if late and/or were pretty much on time. read more

After my insurance company was of no help, I was in desperate need to tow my car. I quickly found Bob Jr's on Yelp, explained my situation, and Albert was at my location in literally 5 minutes (no joke). With years of experience on his belt, the job was done in no time and the whole process took ~25 minutes. It was an added bonus to have friendly conversation about both of us being SF natives. I called and scheduled an appointment on Thursday (3/18/21), for a ~5 mile tow at 9AM on Tuesday 3/23/21 (today). Needless to say, Bob Jr.'s Towing pulled a no call, no show on me. Any attempts to call the business phone number were met with no answer that goes to a full voicemail box with absolutely ZERO calls back. Thanks for wasting my time and my mechanics time too. Our vehicle's alternator had gone out and we managed to get a lucky rolling stop in a gas station lot. It was 10pm on a Saturday night and we were not close to our home. Initially, we called our Nationwide Insurance for roadside assistance. However, the experience was so sadly awful, and we were expected to wait up to two hours for a tow. I immediately Googled for a close tow service and found Bob Jr's Towing with great ratings. Their ratings were correct. Our call was answered with a polite and empathetic response. The gentleman on the line said he can have a truck to us in 20 minutes...it took 15. The service driver, Pete, was really good and professional. He was courteous and very fast and efficient. The drive in a tow truck can be agitating and awkward. However, Pete was very nice and we had a comfortable conversation to our tow destination. The truck was a top-notch piece of machinery. Bob Jr stocks his fleet with new tow trucks that is impressive to observe from both inside and outside the rig. It's features rivals a new premium passenger truck and rides like a Cadillac. A great investment to a great business. Pete got our car to our mechanic and positioned it perfectly on a metered street where it would not incur a ticket. We chatted a little more regarding our vehicle and Pete gave us some great insight regarding it's diagnosis. Pete made sure that our pickup we arranged (Uber) was good to go and thanked us for our patronage. All things considered, what we thought was a bummer way to end our date-night, ended up not being so bad as it could have been, thanks to the fast and professional treatment that Bob Jr's Towing and their field service rep, Pete, provided us. My mini van broke down on a busy commercial street tonight. I spent 3 hours dealing with AAA Roadside Assistance. Complete waste of time. It took them 2 hours to finally send an inexperienced tow truck driver that did not know how to get my mini van on his truck. Then I waited another hour for another truck that never came. I decided to call other tow truck companies off Yelp. Most companies didnt answer or said they were busy. Then I called Bob Jr Towing. This company is the absolute best. I mean THE absolute best. Albert was the tow truck driver. He can within 30-40 minutes. Got my minivan hooked up on his truck in 5 minutes and took me back home. Then Albert perfectly parked my minivan. Albert came to my rescue when I discovered that my car battery had died. He not only was able to aide me in getting my battery jump started but he also was knowledgeable of the problem. My battery cables were corroded and weren't fastening properly. This was a quick fix for Albert! He ran to his truck and got a mechanism that would allow the space in between the cables and the battery to be snug so that he could then tighten the cables properly with the wrench and the battery would continue to hold charge. He also cleaned the battery and gave me some other pointers. He was very timely and friendly; telling me about his lovely wife and family. This last weekend I went on what I thought would be an easy weekend trip to the city. On the way up we experienced a lot of issues with the car that turned out to be an alternator. I parked in the garage downtown and discovered later that the car would not start and was completely dead. After waiting a couple hours for AAA with no response and trying to get through to my insurance company I called Bob Junior's. Feeling stranded, ignored and generally stressed about how we would get home Albert showed up with a great attitude and a lot of patience. I honestly don't know how else we would've made it work without him. He knew a mechanic who would help us on a Sunday and who was totally fair. He jumpstarted our car, followed us out of the garage, to the auto parts and towed us the rest of the way to the mechanic. The whole thing totaled a couple few hours and he was right there with us from start to finish. We left the city that evening after leaving the mechanics, drove all the way back to Santa Cruz and just before I got home I got a call from Albert checking in to make sure I was OK and that I made it home. Albert went way above and beyond and I can't thank him enough for his help that day. My 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid would not start despite us giving it a jump on 10/14/20, so I thought I will need to have it towed to an auto shop. I called a few places including Bob Jr's Towing. I placed the call the morning of 10/17/20 requesting if they can come and tow my car. The tow truck arrived about 45mins later and I told the guy what was happening to my car, and he gave it a jump. After two jumps, the car started and he offered if I still wanted to have it towed. I decided to just drive my car for a bit and if he can just stay to see if all is good then I wouldn't have it towed. He was fine with it and left after he saw that was good. I'm quite please with the customer service and response that I got from this towing company and will call them in the event that my car have the same (or worse) problems in the future. My son got in his first minor car accident yesterday (he's ok) and we needed to tow the car from San Francisco to Oakland. Albert was definitely a lifesaver tonight! We just arrived at SFO from vacation and still needed to drive back to Sacramento on a Sunday night before my work week. Our car battery was dead so we tried looking for help jumping the battery but no one was able to help us. We called our insurance company to help us but they were of no help. Because of Covid, I have barely driven my car for the last few months. Come to find out that my car would not start at all one day. After failing to get the car started with a charged battery, I called Bob Jr's to tow my car to the dealership service department. Albert came right on time, and advised me that the dealership would only try to sell me services I would not need. He offered to take a look and found exactly what the problem is - dead battery, corroded battery terminal and a chewed-up cable thanks to the friendly neighborhood rodent. Not only did he replace the battery terminal and fixed the cable for me, he also followed me to AutoZone to buy a new battery and replaced it for me on the spot!
