I cannot overstate what a great experience I had with Jump Start Hero! My car just died on a long drive back from San Jose up to Marin where I live. It went kaput on Van Ness at 3:30pm, heading into rush hour. After waiting for a tow for THREE HOURS from Triple A, I remembered I also had coverage with State Farm. (Hey, I'm busy, sometimes the details elude me!) Within 30 minutes Jump Start Hero called to assure me that they were on the way. The person who helped me was SO KIND, SO POLITE, SO SAFTEY CONSCIOUS, I was so grateful after being in the cold for hours on Van Ness. My windows were rolled down when my car died so I was freezing, night was falling, and I was sitting in a so so area of SF hoping someone could help. But it being now 7pm, every tow company up until Jump Start Hero was unavailable. Here's the kicker, when I was filling out paperwork in the cab, in the rush of grabbing my backpack, computer, and all my gear, my phone dropped on the cab of the Jump Start Hero tow truck. State Farm uses these people for a tow. When they were finally able to get to my car, they said they were on their way. State Farm told me I could leave the car without having to leave the key. I wasn't going yo sit in my car for 90-120 minutes. I explained to Jump Start that's what State Farm said I could do. They said they would call me back, but instead claimed they couldn't find my vehicle and canceled. I pay $1800 a year to State Farm to deal with these guys?! Unbelievable! read more
