Try the Jump Fitness class! It's so much fun and not as hard as it looks to jump but picking up your legs can be difficult at first.

I have called repeatedly and no one answers the phone and have emailed them and it is an invalid email address. I was actually able to get a hold of someone 6 weeks ago who said she would take care of it and refund my money back but they have yet to do so. I am in the process now of disputing with my credit card company. Not good business people!!!!

First - barre was new to me and so I certainly wasn't use to this type of activity. For me, this was one intense workout that made me drip sweat like a land beast. I was sore after every class and really felt it in every muscle not just thighs or arms. Second - they have a lot of classes. You need early? They have early. You want late? They have that too. There is a class that will fit into your schedule and that's handy for someone like me whose work schedule isn't the same every day. Third - It's convenient and it's an attractive space in which to work out. Why does this matter? I don't know that it does, but so many people who write reviews always comment on the space if it's old, outdated, crusty, raggedy, etc. This place is new, modern, clean & cute. It's easy to get to, I never once had an issue with parking & there is a coffee shop literally 3 doors down for your post workout caffeine fix. Ok, so all that & only four stars? Well, it's small and the five classes I attended were all packed. I always felt like I was on top of someone or that I might kick someone if I didn't pay close attention. They don't have a changing room, I didn't know that for my first class & showed up in my work clothes & a gym bag. Their only restroom is inside the studio so you'll need to wait until class is over to go in there & change. That first time there was a queue of people who just finished working out waiting to use it and then me waiting like a dope to go change. I changed at work after that initial class. As a workout it is probably five stars, but as a whole, I never really felt fully comfortable there. I always felt like I was doing it wrong but seldom if ever got corrected. I always felt too clumsy, too sweaty, too frumpy, too fat, too much - but that's my own hang up not theirs. It's a great work out and fit in nicely between kickboxing & the gym. If you're going to give it a try, do yourself two favors - first, spend the $16 and buy the barre socks right away. Second, try to take at least one class with Marla - she was so encouraging and motivating, I wish she taught there more often but no matter who leads, you're going to get a great workout.

I'm not a huge fan of exercise and tend to get bored with things easily an move on the something else. There are multiple instructors, each with their own unique style so you are SURE to find one that fits your personality. The beginner classes really teach you how to use the reformers, the terminology, and help you get used to moving in ways you may not have done before. Then you move on to more advanced classes. All of the instructors are awesome. There's a maximum of 6 students in each class. The teacher is always aware of how each of us is doing (if we are struggling, etc) and can help you make individual adjustments. It's a comfortable environment where you are not afraid to speak up if you need help or don't understand something. I can't say enough things about Laurie, all of the instructors, and the studio as a whole. It's AWESOME!!!!!!

I had a Groupon and was very, very excited to try the Barre Ampped classes. I enjoyed the classes tremendously. Great workout although not as intense as I would have liked. (Of course, I had just finished months of straight Pilates and running so I was in pretty good shape.) I've only done the TRX and Barre classes here but they also have Zumba, pilates, yoga, etc. A few comments-yes, some of the instructors vary in quality and teaching style which stinks because these classes are expensive and for what you're paying, you should be able to get consistency. This is normal for gyms though bc you will like some teaching styles better. It is also pricey which deters me from going more often. They run specials frequently on their website which helps with the cost i.e. a barre class will be $13 instead of $20.

Which was not a bad deal 10 classes for $55. I tried registering online for the beach body glutes class and was unable to. I sent an email and after not hearing back at the end of the following business day I gave them a call. The beach body glutes class is a part of the barre series. So it would use up 2 of my classes versus one ok! So they were able to add me to the class. Upon entering I checked in with the front desk and being my first time I did not know where to go. I stood there is silence thinking they were not finished checking me in. I then noticed they were and explained I was new so I did not know where I was suppose to go. The women at the front desk then directed me to the studio. Can't they see in their system that I am new? Customers should be treated with more respect. On the upside, Donna was amazing and friendly. She noticed I was new and introduced herself. Throughout the class she remained engaged and so energetic. I could barely keep up and I wasn't the one working out and instructing a class! It was really a great workout with the use of a rebounder, skateboard, free weights and many other items. Unfortunately, this class interferes with yoga so i have not been back. Next, I tried spin & core with Brandi. She is also so pleasant and makes you work so hard. This class consists of 45 minutes of spin and then 15 minutes of core workouts on the mat, with weights, and the use of other equipment. She changes it up from week to week which is very nice. However, recently I noticed that this class is not available and had not been replaced on Sundays which is when I like to spin. This was what made it miss the 4 star mark in my eyes.

Not to mention, it's great for all fitness levels. The instructors suggest modifications throughout class to meet the needs of all clients. The classes never get easier but you get stronger (and become addicted so you have to come back all the time). Another aspect that sets PBCH aside are their virtual classes. Several live classes are offered throughout the day. If a client misses a class, they have access to hundreds of prerecorded classes. Times are crazy right now but PBCH is an excellent way to distract yourself for 50 minutes while you lift, tone and burn!

When I called with questions, Liz, the owner was incredibly helpful, after speaking with her for just a few minutes I could tell I would really like this studio. I had never tried the Spin shoes before and they have them available for free to use to clients. The girl at the front desk was very helpful and showed me how to use them since it was my first time. First class was free which was also nice. And they have childcare. Couldn't ask for more! I wish this gym was closer to me as I only have Crunch HV near me and they only have a couple RIDE classes a week whereas this one has 3 a day (they also have Barre and TRX). They had ~25 bikes in the class. I liked that they had it dark, especially during intense moments. It does have black lights so if you wear white or neon, you will glow. Pricing: $18/class; 3 classes $16/class; 5 classes $15/class; 10 classes $14/class; $115 monthly unlimited or $99 if do recurring. Happy I found this spot and can't wait to try more instructors!

Btw - Check online for specials. I was able to get a 10pack (10 classes) for an end of Summer deal - $100. It's Definitely worth it.
