I have NEVER made a review on a business before BUT this time needs to be shared. This is usually a place my husband likes to get food from. To me, it's really dry. That is not why I'm making this review. We have a special needs child and when we called he was crying a little. My husband started to order and the OWNER hung up. My husband called back and said owner got an attitude, and said "is this the guy with the screaming baby in my ear?" He intentionally hung up on my husband and then got an attitude. All I can say about this place is Yummy! I have been here on several occasions and found it to be clean, The staff here is usually one during the day, but they do everything the best they can. I could not imagine how this person juggles large crowds, but I have been here during the day, and a lunch rush. There seems to be no real slowdown. The building looks like a true hole in a wall from outside, inside it looks like what could be considered a dive bar with food. But once you sit down and start the adventure, it is really not that bad, then the food comes and everything else just blends into a background. 1 am and still serving. The parking lot was empty and dark but they were open. The staff were extremely polite for the middle of the night. I get the "family" owned vibe which is nice. I ordered the bul go gi and yaki man do. Not even 30 seconds and I had 7 bowls of; broccili, cucumbers, turnips, kimchi, fish cake, bean sprouts and rice. Not 60 seconds after that my food came out. My husband and I both grew up in Lawton and come back to visit family fairly often. Whenever possible, we stop by the Junction on our way out of town. Nothing in Oklahoma City compares to the Junction's simple, delicious Korean food. We will typically get an order of Bulgogi, Kim Bob, and Yaki Man Doo to split between the two of us and not get anywhere near finishing it all. The owner is a friendly sarcastic guy that tries to make customers smile. Don't let the neighborhood scare you off. The food is worth it! read more

I'm a Lawton girl and the Junction restaurant was the place to go to after the night clubs closed because they stay open very late, I think they close at 3 A.M. but not sure since I don't go clubbing anymore. That said it use and I mean USE to be the place to go to for delicious Korean food. I loved the wonton soup when it's winter or whatever season was so yummy and the Bulgogi was awesome. Now, 2018 the food is awful! the meat doesn't taste fresh, it tastes almost rancid and I went back hoping I just had an off day of flavor from this Lawton's best kept secret place. Nope the food was awful, the place is in horrible condition. Dark, moldy and falling apart. They've been here for YEARS update people update your establishment and serve fresh food! This is a hole in the wall little place in a sketchy neighborhood. But if you want great bulgolgi at 3:00 AM, this is the place for you! I moved to Lawton in 1999 and have frequented this restaurant since. I was lucky to find it then. I run in to people who have lived here their whole lives and have never been to The Junction. I was introduced to this place by a friend as an alternative to Taco Bell after all the bars were shut down. I ordered the bulgolgi and a Dr. Pepper. Man, let me tell you that nothing ever tasted so good as bulgolgi at 3 in the morning after leaving the club! I have gotten older and matured and have an amazing little family now. But we still visit the junction. I have taken my mother for dinner. I bring my wife and daughter. We sometimes meet friends there in the middle of the day. I say this because I might have given the wrong impression before. The Junction can be a great place to go late at night. It really is your only choice for good food between two and four in the morning IMHO. It is more crowded then and there is a great mix of people. But it has served me well over the years no matter when I go. The service has always been excellent even when it is crowded. And while the bulgolgi (what I always order) is sometimes great and sometimes just good, it has never been bad. It comes with a variety of vegetable sides each in their own bowl and a bowl of steamed rice that really compliments the bulgolgi. The sodas come in cans and we always eat with chopsticks. The prices are good. The servers are fun and friendly and you can sometimes hear people in the kitchen yelling at each other in Korean. There is a pool table and a few arcade games and a prize grab claw thingy. The no smoking signs are hand drawn (rather badly) on posterboard with markers. There is even 1970's wood paneling! It has to be experienced to be appreciated. And you might not appreciate it. That's fine. All the better for the rest of us. This place is one of Lawton's local hidden gems. This is not a "nice" restaurant. If you want nice go to Outback. But if you want great, affordable food with friendly staff and a cool atmosphere, check it out sometime. It is just North of Cache road on 15th street. Look for the Relax Inn and turn there. read more

I have been going to this place for years, and use to love it. Now its garbage. The food makes you sick every other time, the staff are inattentive at best, outright rude and hateful at worst. My most recent and business ending venture with them was after I had worked a 15hr shift and wanted to place a to go order for my family. It took two calls before someone answered (the line was not busy) and when I explained that I wanted to get a to go order I was told in a very hateful tone "Well too bad, I'm not taking any more call in orders, you want it you will come in and order." They then hung up on me. That was the owner's attitude. So these guys suck, they were the only place open by the time I got off shift and could not be human about it, so they have permanently lost my and my families business. The man (owner) whatever he is, IS absolutely rude!!!! I called and made a phone order for a Ramen soup and I asked if they can put the broth on the side because the last time we ended up with just noodles the broth was gone because it was consumed by the noodles. He said "NO we cant! and that happens when you take long to pick up the food" when we were actually waiting for our food there for about 20 min! Horrible service by his part! Junction City is probably the only place in the state of Oklahoma offering late night Korean food 24 7! The friendly service had a blend of Korean and Okie hospitality referred to as Kor-e-okie in Lawton. The bulgolgi had plenty of flavor and is served with many Banchan dishes. Our rice, kimchi, and drink refills requests were responded to without hesitation. Junction City could easily get 5 stars if they prepared and cooked the BBQ in front of people at the table. Useful tip - Remember to always say Kum-sah-mee-dah (Thank You) when leaving the restaurant. read more

This place used to be really great but slowly started losing the luster, last night for me was the final straw, ordered kimbap, hot chicken bulgogi, and hot beef soup to go. Bulgogi came no sides at all and wasn't spicy, kimbap was mainly old looking tough rice and meat had no flavor, and hot beef soup was bland af, it used to be so spicy your nose would run! I dunno what happened but I'm bummed...Gangnam Style has become my go to place now. read more

Pulled up to this restaurant and briefly considered immediately leaving. It has limited parking with a dark vibe that made me feel like I was going to be mugged. But, I gave it a shot and went in. The inside wasn't much better. Very dank atmosphere. But, again i thought maybe it was one of those hole in the wall places with surprisingly good food. Luckily the servers were pleasant and funny, so kudos to them. Ordered the bulgogi, kalbi and "kim bob". The Korean bbq was very salty. Presentation and quality was equivalent to eating a frozen, pre-packaged meal that was microwaved. Not impressed. read more

This is a really interesting place. The owner Moses is a character!! The cook in the back knows what she's doing. Her food was amazing. Bul Go Gi was the bees knees people. It came with an array of yummy sides to put with the meat. We had some amazing fried dumpling of some sort as well, with cabbage and I think beef. If Lawton had more after hours options than IHOP and well, this place, I doubt it would have survived as long as it has. Was not impressed with the location or the food. After hearing all my friends tell me how great this place was I went after a friends bday party and was completely unimpressed. From what I witnessed, if you know the owner you have a great visit and get taken care of like family however if you are a newcomer and go in by yourself it is a completely different story. The food was just OK. It was way too salty. Also-while we were there, a chick comes rushing in the door and we hear a gunshot! She asked to stay indoors because"they were shooting outside." Looking for Late Night Korean Food to satisfy that itching for Bul Go Gi and Bul Bo Gi... this is the place to be in Lawton for that! Not exactly on the beaten path and if you didn't know better you might pass it up after seening the neighborhood its in - however, have no fear! This is a great little local jem... I could literally bathe in a tub of the BulGoGi and die a happy man! The Yakimado and Kim Bob are amazing as well. Don't expect linen table cloths or black tie waiters, with korean music in the background... it's a bare bones comfy place, the owner's there all the time and you'll quickly learn to enjoy his sarcastic sense of humor, all part of the experience. I don't live in Lawton, but when I visit friends, we often come here. Their food is excellent. I have tried several things, but always seem to end up with friend rice with an egg on top. The atmosphere isn't my favorite. There is a random pool table, and isn't very clean. It is also very dark.
