Front desk was friendly, the dental office/equipment looked modern, and the dentists were efficient. Each procedure was explained and front desk helped with scheduling and often notifying for upcoming appointments. So the reason why I stopped going... I had a filling redone due to it coming off. However, I had pain around the same tooth for months. I couldn't eat on that side at all. I went back in for checkups to see if they can figure out what's going on. The head dentist told me to consider getting a crown since there seems to be a cracking on the tooth. They offered to cover the costs however I thought it was a bit extreme to get a crown from a routine filling. Over the next couple months, I would go back multiple times since the pain didn't go away. This included shaving part of the filling, redoing the filling, and trying to figure out my bite. And the final time I went there for a checkup, I was just told it could just be a neurological thing and almost made it sound like it was my fault and they can't do anything about it. The only reason why I kept going back was to give them the opportunity to fix what they had messed up. I ended up looking for another dentist and I told them my issue. They were able to figure what was wrong, and redid my filling. Now I have no pain.

The staff--both front desk and clinical--are professional, efficient, and genuinely friendly. Communication is clear, and everything is handled smoothly from check-in to treatment. The clinic itself is modern, clean, and well-equipped. The setup is thoughtful, with TVs positioned in front of you while seated and even one above when you're lying down, which makes visits more comfortable. Location is also convenient, right across Serramonte Center, with its own parking lot--easy access every time. I've stayed with them even after becoming out-of-network due to a change in insurance. After the visit, I found out they actually don't take my insurance and was left with a $400 bill to my surprise weeks later. To make matters worse, because of my policy, my insurance will not cover a new first-time appointment at another office which accepts my insurance. I feel misled and very frustrated by the lack of transparency. Patients deserve honesty upfront about coverage and costs. Billing: She has her office staff request price quotes from insurance so there are no financial surprises. In the future, I'll just make sure to start that process ahead of my appointment. However, some experiences made me uncomfortable. The Spanish-speaking staff member did not explain things clearly, and after scheduling an appointment they often called to change it, sometimes even to the very next day. This felt disorganized and inconvenient. What really concerned me was that before I even finished the treatments covered by insurance they were already pushing me to schedule major procedures that I would have to pay for myself. Without giving me enough time to consider they urged me to come back the next day for these costly treatments. This created a strong sense of pressure, almost like I was just money on the chopping board. These procedures involve significant amounts of money not covered by insurance, so I felt unprepared and overwhelmed. Not everyone has the funds readily available, and honestly, nobody likes being asked to visit a dentist twice in the same week as if time can always be rearranged so easily. From my perspective it seems like the owner of the clinic may be behind this push to generate more business. I have never experienced a situation where a dentist or any doctor schedules such large treatments for the very next day. It felt unusual and inconsiderate.
