    The proposal!

Peter is everything you want in a guide - and more! Before the trip, he took the time to help us carefully consider different options thoroughly and patiently answered all of our questions. He knows everything about photography, glaciers, and Juneau and will make sure you are ready for your adventure - no matter what your experience level is. During the trip, he and Josh showed us how to rappel into ice caves, taught us how to take photos like Peter's award-winning work, and even climb back up with ice axes. Peter and his wife were generous enough to bring lunch & homemade snacks that gave us the energy to spend 8 hours trekking across the glacier. What I didn't know was that he had been working with my now-fiancé to plan a surprise proposal for the last 30 mins of the glacier trek... And it was perfect. Not only did he find a stunning ice cave and help us take incredible pictures, but he and his wife made us feel so loved by paying attention to details like bringing little champagne bottles to celebrate! Thank you Peter, Alicia and Josh for your kindness, guidance, and friendship. Highly recommend booking a tour with these amazing folks for an unforgettable experience!

    Inside the Ice Cave

If you're looking to go on the most exciting adventure in your life then look no further than Peter Nestler and his ! Not only is Peter the most professional guy when it comes to guiding and photography but he's also a most interesting and delightful guy to spend the day with. I went hiking up Mendenhall Glacier with Peter to explore one of the most beautiful and surreal sights in the world: an Ice Cave! After a long and invigorating hike over a true glacier (which is beautiful in itself), we entered a newly discovered ice cave that was underwater only a few years ago. As a photographer, I'm a very visual person but what I was about to experience I could never imagine! Peter told me that more people have been on the Moon then in that ice cave! And the beauty cannot be explained. It has to be experienced. We spent hours setting up shots and with Peter's expertise in photography I have some of the best and most beautiful photos I've taken in my life. Thank you, Peter, for a most unforgettable and fun adventure!

From our first email of just asking if he knew any photographers, Peter was so kind to step up to the plate.

During a 7 day Alaska cruise, my group and I booked three excursions with Alaska Tour Center and…read moreeach of them were just amazing. In Juneau, we did the Whale Watching tour on Lynn Canal and it didn't take long to spot the first whale diving right in front of us. Unfortunatelly to fast for us to get our cameras out. But during the time out there, we spotted several whales and enjoyed the beautiful scenery as well as the funny and informative comments our captain and our tourgide gave us. We learned quite a bit about the region, whales and history. The snacks and water they provided, was a nice catch. Right off the boat we were transported to the airport for a helicopter trip over the Juneau Icefield and to Herbert Glacier. Our pilote took us safely from and to the airport and gave us a brief intro about the icefield, its glaciers and the surrounding areas. Landing on the glacier and taking a stroll was simply amazing, also because the weather was perfectly sunny. The trip was certainly worth every penny. In Skagway we did a bustour to the Yukon territory. Our busdriver was not just very knowledgable about the tour but also had tons of funny stories about life in Alaska to tell. Time flew by while we enjoyed the beauty of Alaska and Canada on this tour doing several stops for picture taking, walks and lunch at a husky station. Alltogether, the tours were expertly organized and we were in very good hands with the gides we got for our tours. They certainly made a major contribution to my fantastic time in Alaska.

It was good enough that will book another tour on return cruise in a few days. While didn't see Orca's and it was rainy and had trouble finding whales, we did find 3 and this proves that nature is unpredictable. What earned them five stars, and an endearing place in my tiny heart, is the crew. Captain Dan was good but what made this trip for me was the naturalist Kaelyn (hope got it right). She was amazing, had a wealth of knowledge, and extremely easy to talk to. She shared the passion she has for wildlife, particularly whales, and spoke at length about their behaviors here and in Hawaii. She really is fantastic. Our boat had a small group size and surprised they didn't cancel it, very small. The crew on this trip, and my prior one last year, couldn't stop talking about the company itself, a small locally owned group which has excellent customer service, truly exceptional. They also Treat their employees like the gold they are Many thanks to them for a great tour. While didn't see as much as had hoped, and while weather didn't cooperate, it's a fantastic trip and time. They really truly take care of you.

Chris have had before on my very first whale watching trip and she's very very special, adorable and wealth of knowledge. Plus, hopefully, a captain in the making. Coral took the naturalist lead this trip and was amazing. What a wealth of knowledge she is. The captain kept us all safe and informed, keeping us our as long as possible before the inevitable end of our trip. Really truly amazing the whole crew has been. Highly recommend any of their tours. This was my third one and each memorable in their own right though first one was the most memorable 3 years back. Just a minor thing compared to one the well before. It would've been nice to see the whale lookup stats on happy whales. Each crew is thankfully uniquely different, really enjoy each and every time have gone out. Please keep it up and do the fantastic job you are.
