A must stop every trip to Brooklyn! So many yummy Chinese desserts and baked goods to try and unique from everyday treats. Small and quaint spot with lots of locals in and out. I always come here when I visit Brooklyn!

    Birthday Cake

I normally get my kids Birthday cakes here. You can request for any theme. Cakes here are amazing. Fruits are really fresh as well. Highly recommended!

BLUF: A Chinese bakery with a creative flair and (perhaps constrained by) low prices. I would avoid the dim sum. Junes Bakery and Café (澳莱), although a recent establishment, seems to have been the first of the "modern" Chinese bakeries to appear along Avenue U in the Homecrest area of Brooklyn. Junes differentiates itself from bakeries before it with a broader selection of baked goods -- croissants in multiple flavors, blueberry bread, vanilla puffs, cranberry cookies, Napoleon cake, etc. Of course, one will also find basic selections of Chinese baked goods, like egg tarts and pineapple buns; breakfasts; and some dim sum. Junes retains the value pricing typical of most Chinese bakeries; it seems to offer 80% of the quality of a top-tier bakery at a commensurate or better discount. Junes' creative variety and low prices makes the bakery an interesting place to browse. Food: Fair (2.5 of 5). - Egg Tart: $1; good. - Portuguese Egg Tart: $1.25 each. Nearly identical to a standard egg tart but with a slight brûlée on the top; save yourself 25 cents and get the regular instead. - Cranberry Cookies: $4.75 for a package of 10. Like butter cookies with bits of dried, hard, nearly inedible pieces of cranberry. - Blueberry Bread (藍莓包): $1.75. Pretty in appearance, but essentially a blueberry jam sandwich. - Pineapple Bun (菠蘿包): $1.25; a little too gummy. - Roast Pork Puff: $1.75. Good. Unlike meat puffs from chain bakeries, this was filled with meat. The dim-sum we tried (a beef rice noodle and a siu mai) was second-rate; likely due to cost constraints. Logistics: - Cash and Venmo are accepted for payment. - No Wi-Fi. - One unisex bathroom. - Often open door to minimize spread of Covid. - Five tables of four seats plus a standing stool area for customers to eat their food.

Menu but not the full menu as they have other things not mentioned there

This is the bakery we need! Spacious, has seating, seems clean, accepts venmo and has bakery food items + more! Their fresh steam rice rolls are very very fresh and bouncy! Tea eggs, milk tea, spareribs, chicken feet, shumai were also good. Would recommend this place

    Purple Yam bun

New Asian bakery in the area. Place is clean with all buns and cakes individually wrapped and placed in self serve display cases. Got the Purple yam buttered bun and Milk custard bun. Purple yam bun has very little filling, its basically all doughy bread, could hardly taste any yam flavor. The milk custard bun, did have a little more filling and tasted sweeter than the other bun. It's a new bakery so there's always time for improvements, buns and cakes cost more than other places in the area

Fried Dumpling , so good! Started with 8

Got it delivered and everything was delicious! Especially the dumplings (that are only $5.25 for 8) and congee. Definitely recommend giving this a try

Guys, you should check what you bought before leaving there. Few days ago, I bought two noodle soup from there, one with Wonton, one with beef brisket. And then I found that the wontons and beef were missing. I called to complain, they said they could give me a new one for free. I went to take it the next day, and asked if I could change the Wonton to beef brisket. The guy said Yes. Then I waited for a long long long time, like 30 minutes? Got my two noodle soups finally, but the guy told me he need to charge me $7.5 for one noodle soup. What??? Won't go back. It was a very unpleasant experience for me.

Egg Tart and Black Milk Tea

Affordable local bakery with the nicest staff - I usually come for the egg tarts which are $1 each, buy 5 get 1 free. They come inside a cute little box. The iced milk tea is simple but large for the price (~$4), which is considerably cheaper than the $6-7 you'll pay at neighboring bubble tea places in the area. I've tried a few of their other baked goods and it's pretty hard to go wrong here!

Im only giving four stars because i havent tried everything and i plan on doing so. Their taro roll is like eating a little puffy cloud from heaven. The winner (because i love anime) is the Dragon Ball Z drinks. My anime loving heart exploded.

Slow, rude when following up on our meals. Customers behind us who ordered sets get their food before us.

This place definitely lives up to the hype! The food here is amazing, and when I say food, I mean…read moremore than just the baked goods. Starting off with the baked goods, the brown butter corn cake may be the single best pastry I've had in my life. It has a great crispy exterior and a super moist and decadent interior that just makes it the best pastry you could ever ask for. I also think they have one of the best chocolate chip cookies in the city, and their cinnamon roll is light yet executed perfectly. In addition to their pastries, their sandwiches are amazing. My favorite is this chili crisp tofu sandwich. It is packed with great flavor, perfectly tender tofu, and is layered between two pieces of delicious bread. I also love their arugula burrata prosciutto sandwich that is paired so nicely with their focaccia, making each bite the ultimate experience. While I've never waited in a really long line, I can say that they do move pretty efficiently. Unfortunately, there isn't much room to eat inside, but on a nice day, if you can grab a table outdoors, it's a great experience in the lovely Greenpoint neighborhood.

There was basil in the first sandwich that cuts through the fattiness of the meat and cheese which was great. The second sandwich had this spicy sesame sauce which was so good - was not expecting to like the tofu one that much. Brown butter corn bread was the most moist one I've ever had and the top was so crispy. Rhubarb pastry was good but nothing special - didn't taste the rhubarb.

Even though there is a line, you do not feel rushed or pressured to order quickly. On this visit we ordered plain croissant, chocolate croissant-fresh out of the oven, rhubarb croissant, black forest pastry and brown butter corn cake. The chocolate croissant was amazing. It is triple chocolate and cocoa powder is in the dough. It is filled with milk and dark chocolate, so creamy. The plain croissant was flaky and light. The brown butter corn cake was crispy and caramelized on the outside and soft and moist. The Black Forest croissant is a seasonal offering. It is made with their Triple Chocolate Croissant filled with chocolate cake and sour cherries and topped with mascarpone cream , Rhubarb & Custard Croissant . It is tart and sweet. The rhubarb is roasted and complimented with sweet vanilla custard. They all were excellent. Each were about $8. Highly recommend and don't let the line deter you .
