Being new to the area, I've had to rely solely on reviews of businesses. When I broke my crown, I had to see a dentist as soon as possible. This office managed to get me in within a couple of days. When I arrived, I was greeted promptly by the staff. Everyone was very nice and understanding. I went back for X-rays within a few minutes, then took a seat in the dentist's chair. I explained to Tina what happened. I also explained that, as a disabled vet, money is not something I have large quantities of. Tina absolutely went above and beyond and saved me from having either crippling debt or a lost tooth. She gave me some extremely helpful advice involving my benefits, and the main thing is? She didn't have to. She didn't have to help me with something not involving the clinic. She did anyway, and that speaks volumes to me. She also was able to fix my crown temporarily, so I could at least walk around without an exposed (and very painful) nerve in my mouth. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this. Because of my experience, I will always recommend the dental clinic to anyone who asks! read more

Don't go here. It is the worst dental care in the area. I went here for root canal few years ago and the dentist went through the nerve and caused excruciating pain that I have never had in my life. They had to redo the root canal. They will change doctors and then charge you for mistake they did. Also suggesting extra services that you don't need or your insurance don't cover. read more

I went to Jungermann Dental for 2 years. My previous dentist retired and I went by a recommendation of someone I knew. I will preface by saying I love going to the dentist and enjoy my twice a year cleaning. Like any human being, I am not perfect and have had cavities which I have had filled. My first visit found me with two new cavities and a tooth I was told needed a crown. Like any concerned person, I wanted to make sure I took care of it before it became worse. I trusted the doctor and began thinking of my course of action. Within seconds, I had an employee in my booth talking to me about my "payment options." Nevertheless, I took care of setting up the appointment and working to figure out how to pay for the work. Fast-forward two years. I have had two crowns, two root canals, countless fillings and countless fillings replaced (was told they were cracking). I feel foolish not catching on sooner, but I felt that perhaps my teeth were falling apart and I wanted to do what was necessary to preserve them. My last visit there, I went for a tooth cleaning (like normal). I have NEVER been afraid of the dentist, but I was beginning to dread going for fear of what they may find wrong (and how I would afford it). I was told I had FIVE cavities and AT LEAST THREE more teeth that needed crowns. My red flag went off. ALL of the sudden, I had all of these problems (and NO pain on my end). I left and never returned. I have gotten other opinions and I have NOTHING wrong with my teeth. I feel ashamed that I fell for their money-making scam and am outraged that they put me through (probably) unnecessary work. Who knows at this point? I probably didn't need my fillings replaced. I am FURIOUS that they would make up such nonsense to make money at the expense of my health and my savings. They should be ashamed. I am sure not everyone shares my opinion, but as I dig more and more, I find I am not alone in my feelings or my experience. I wanted to share. read more

I recently moved to Missouri leaving behind excellent dentist experiences in LA and Denver. Knowing not much of the area, I decided to go to Jungermann Dental since it's the closest to me, and I thought it would be convenient. The appointment making process was quick and easy. The staff was friendly and great too. HOWEVER, they slam you at the end with their prognosis being the more extreme of options and over-pricing you for those procedures. When I went to get a second opinion, I took in the report received from Jungermann Dental. They re-examined the same things and recommended less abrasive measures thus costing me less in insurance and out-of-pocket cost. After the fact, I've heard multiple people comment the same discontent towards Jungermann Dental. I personally will not trust Jungermann Dental with my or my families dental care. read more

I haven't seen Dr. Alex for a couple of years, what a difference my new dentist has made. Something isn't wrong every time I walk in. I get my exam, my cleaning and on my way I go. Originally I went to Dr Alex for invisaligns. Can't screw those up too much. (he did) I too got a new cap... front tooth. I had a temp put on first of course, and it fell off every other day. Front tooth, I'm a professional... it was horrible. Each new cap that came in for me was off color, too big, wrong etc.(I don't consider that his fault) But he almost wanted me to keep them to get me out of the office. I declined of course. I finally settled on a very ugly front tooth. I hate impressions and could not go thru with yet another one. (each time a new cap needed a new impression needed) What a joke. I also at the time had a couple checkups - I was always told one of my teeth needed drilled out and I would need it capped. But glory be next week they had a sale on caps. That happened twice. What a coincidence huh? I now go to a different dentist. I don't need any teeth drilled or any new caps. Oh and they never have a sale either. read more

I had an appointment for a cleaning. I walked in and they told me they cancelled my appointment. They said they tried to call me but didn't have a good phone number. Bull crap. They have my email too and didn't send an email. This is after waiting a month for an appointment and another month to reschedule. I'm never going back. read more

Another update......my root canal cap lasted almost a year. I went back in to have it fixed. They gave me another temporary cap (which fell off within 4 days)........my permanent cap will be put in Friday. I hope it lasts this time. read more

I wouldn't even give them a half of a star. So much of the work he did had to be redone by him or his replacement who is also no longer there. She moved to another state. Now.. the dentist who is there said that one of the teeth he put a crown on (with a bridge) and who two dentist and a few hygenest inferred had not been done properly, has to be extracted, a bone graft done, and likely a prosthetic placed. Awesome right? Who's gonna pay for this?!?! Spent thousands of dollars to now have to spend more to fix his mess. It's difficult enough to trust a dentist... I had several bad experiences with Jungerman Dental. I use to refer to it as the "Jiffy Lube" of Dentists, they were always pressuring you to use services like Fluoride varnish, Cancer screening, that I've since discovered are not necessary. Billing problems. My first visit Dr Alex was trying to re-attach a crown and dropped it at the back of my throat, which as a physical reflex I swallowed. They charged me for a brand new crown - $700. I've had great experiences with Dr. Alex and staff. They have always been good listeners, not pushy at all and I've been given good advice. One of my closest friends is a dentist in my home town and everything that Dr. Alex has suggested was completely in line with what my friend would have recommended. Make sure you have good insurance and have the day off if you come here. My first experience at Jungermann Dental Care took ~2.5 hours (not including the short wait time). They took X-rays, cleaned and floss my teeth, and an evaluation from an DMD or DDS. It was a typical first visit but thats not all; I walked away with many extra services such as a fluoride mouthwash, some sort of mouth cancer screening, a prescription for expensive toothpaste, three cavities and a high five from the dentist. Honestly I don't think these services are necessary but my insurance paid for it. I am 98.9% sure I don't have cavities but I am no dentist so the extra 3 fillings for the cavities will come at another date. They wanted to push to get the fillings done immediately but I felt something was off with the answers to all the questions I asked. I have 2 more weeks to the new year when my new coverage kicks in and I will be getting a second opinion from a good, honest dentist a few co-workers recommended to me in the CWE. If they say I have 3 cavities I am coming back to Jungermann Dental primarily for the friendly service and proximity to my house. If not, all those extra services tell me all I need to know about this dental office. Make sure you ask lots of questions to gauge their knowledge of dentistry. You can get a feel for the place and whether its a keeper. read more

Going through some very painful times right now with abscesses on root canals that were done by Alex! I have discovered that these procedures were never needed and I could end up losing some or all the teeth he worked on. This man lied to me about the care and treatment plan that I needed and it cost me $10,000. Over the course of the treatment, I had to make an obnoxious amount of unnecessary trips back to his office due to his incompetence. I am paying a much bigger price now for all of the pain, re-work, additional cost and possibility of the teeth not being able to be saved. I complained to the office manager because he wouldn't wear a mask and had food stuck in his teeth/lips and that he would spit when he talked, but she basically indicated that this had been brought to his attention before and he would get angry. He had, and showed, his bad temper and intimidating sales tactics in front of patients and staff. Reminds me of the old saying ............ .... "Always look at a hair stylist's own hair before letting her touch yours!" P.S. You don't even want to get me started on the billing issues .....!!!!! read more

Although there are many dentist offices closer to my home, I drove 25 minutes to see Dr. Mainhurst. He is new to this office, but he has been practicing for quite a while, and he is very knowledgeable and professional. Since this was my first time at this office, I was not sure what to expect, and I was happy to see that everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I am sorry that previous reviewers did not have great experiences, but fortunately there have been recent changes made including staff changes. I plan to return and would highly recommend this office. read more

I want to share my experiences that we have had with Dr. Alex for about two years. He appears to be a nice guy and certainly has a degree of skill in his profession but his focus and that of his team is primarily sales. I wish someone would have steered me the other way when I was looking for dentists. My wife and I have both had invisalign through Jungerman Dental that did not get our teeth straighten like we were led to believe. infact my wife had to go to another dentist to have a tooth gap repaired. The gap was created by them to allow for the invialign to work. You will experience considerable pain for most if not all procedures. Patient comfort is given very little attention. I now have a cap that is broken that Dr Alex has replaced twice. I have had the cap less than two years. I have spent thousands of dollars and cannot believe I did not say good bye to them earlier. I have now found a wonderful dentist. I will need to pay him to fix the crown. Please read all the reviews and look elsewhere for your dental needs. read more

ok I have been waiting to do this. I thought I was losing it but based on all of these reviews, I am not. I went to see Dr. Alex...next thing you know I have bought into invisalign. The problem is, they started invisalign treatments before fixing teeth that needed work. I finally finish the invisalign treatment and low an behold, a tooth I told him about over and over, needed a root canal. So guess what...new mold. I went in once and they forgot to put temporary crowns on 2 teeth that were not root canals. I was told that they did and that I must have swallowed them...I knew the temps were not there on the way home. I did not swallow them. His dental hygienist was the one who worked on me. After my last appointment to get the bridge put in place, I left and never looked back. read more

I will preface this by saying I am in sales. When I went to this office the sales push was so much, I would feel intimidated and uncomfortable. The dental hygienist would push then the Dr. Would come in and push even more. They also made everything sound horrible and serious with my dental health - this was an attempt to scare me and sell more. I finally decided I was not going back due to the high pressure and uncomfortable environment. Turns out the new dentist I went to said my teeth and gums are healthy and the one area of concern they had was legitimate, they took pictures free of charge to show me (Jungermann dental missed this issue while busy trying to make sales). The new office I am going to was kind and patient and said let us know when or if you would like corrective measures taken and also let me know what the result would be if I chose to wait. Everything was up to me. I would never recommend Jungermann dental care. It is a very awkward and very uncomfortable experience. read more

I went to this dentist today, My appt. was at 8:30 I got there at 8:00 and I was leaving by 8:16 The front desk was very nice. They took an xray and told me that I have an abscessed tooth that i need a root canal and it would be $2686. I told them I just want to get it pulled that I don't have that kind of money. So to pull it he told me that he would have to pull the one behind it also and it would be $576 to pull both. He said that it was very infected that's why my eye and ear were hurting so bad. I was there a total of 12 minutes. He did not even give me antibiotics. WORST DENTIST I HAVE EVEN BEEN TO HE ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY. I went down the road and they only charge 125 to pull a tooth. read more

This place scammed me into getting multiple crowns put in. I heard from an old employee that he was fired due to putting crowns in for minor cavities. I personally had 2 crowns done there over the course of 2 years. Now I wonder if I really ever needed them. Needless to say, the crowns were expensive and maxed out my insurance leaving me with tremendous debt and other clinical care needs that I could not afford until my insurance renewed a year later. I don't know who's a bigger bunch of crooks; the insurance companies or the Doctor maxing out my insurance in one visit. Sense then they have gotten a new set of Doctors (and staff from what I can tell). Both the new Doctors seem to be fresh out of school (inexperienced and nervous). I had a cavity filled but the filling had such a bad snag my floss pick got stuck. If I kept pulling on the floss pick it felt like the filling was going to rip out. To further discredit this office, they have re-done 3 of their own fillings. Sure they did it free of charge but who the heck likes going to the dentist twice for the same issue? Moral of the story, go somewhere else. read more

I went to Jungermann Dental prior to it being Purchased by a greedy conglomerate , before Dr. "Alex". It was fine they did their job and you didn't feel as though you had just been robbed. After the buyout it became nothing but a money grubbing practice. They tried to push everything on you that can be done. Going as far as telling me if I want to keep my teeth I had to get invisilign. When I declined Dr. Alex threw his arms up and stormed out told me there was nothing he could do for me. Then he gets a partner who tells me my bite is good but I needed a deep cleaning. My share after insurance would only be $850. I removed my paper bib and walked out. My husband continued to see him. Every time he did any work the tooth next to it would go bad and he had that fixed and so and so on. Lat night he was up all night in excruciating pain. I said please don't go back to that dentist. I convinced him to call my new dentist who is farther away. It is so screwed up that He now has to go to a specialist to have it repaired and will have to take two separate days off work because it takes two trips to do a retreatment. He really likes the new guy and glad he finally switched. By the way I had to get a crown on the one filling Dr. Alex had put in, Don't go to this place you will walk out of there feeling like you need to report a robbery! read more

Dr. Alex Wojtyna: STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY. Very unprofessional, he makes promises he can't keep, deadlines he can't meet, and grossly misdiagnoses for financial gain. He'll act like he's going out of his way to schedule you an appointment before or after business hours free of charge "just to get you in" because you're in agonizing pain, like he's doing you a favor, but then you'll later see he charged your insurance. He's distracted in the office, constantly walking around texting and ignoring the patients and their questions/concerns. He always seems very annoyed, definitely not a people person. He blows off any complaints or questions as if they're stupid and you don't know what you're talking about, then will set you up with some mouthwash or toothpaste just to shut you up and briskly rush off. I recently spoke with an old friend who used to be his dental assistant, who described him as a "con artist" with a very powerful legal team behind him. GET A SECOND OPINION BEFORE YOU LET DR. ALEX TOUCH YOU! I guarantee the second diagnosis from anywhere else will be far less severe and expensive. read more
